Chapter Eighteen

1

"Qin Yang!"

The calls of Qin Ying and Elena sounded in my ears, drowning out all other sounds. The golden band-like "Sealing Demon Knot" that refused to listen to my command suddenly erupted. Under its influence, all natural elements within the expanding barrier were dispersed. However, judging by the pain in my hand, I knew it wouldn't be that simple. When the range of the "Sealing Demon Knot" reached the power chamber, there would inevitably be a power imbalance, which could be deadly on the battlefield.

"Nofice!" I called out Nofice's name, hoping she would respond, while forcibly controlling the "Sealing Demon Knot". My eyes changed color as runes gathered on my eyeballs, observing the capital city!

In my view, the image of the capital city was not very clear. The main issue was the actions taken by the divine race to cut off external surveillance of the battlefield... The pain on the back of my hand greatly hindered my ability to cast Magic. I had no choice but to temporarily seal the contract, and after the pain subsided, I saw the contract on my hand glowing red, emitting smoke as if it had been roasted, a very unfavorable situation.

High above the capital city, Nofice unexpectedly summoned the nine-tailed white fox on her own. Judging by the previous summoning, the nine-tailed white fox still refused to fully manifest, only lending out its nine tails to bind the ruthless Angel. Nofice's magic emanated uncontrollably, but automatically gathered in the sky. The suffering Nofice could not bear what erupted in her mind, so she retracted her eighteen wings and curled up within them.

Temporarily controlled by the nine-tailed white fox, the ruthless Angel, while slightly more powerful than the white fox, had no patience. He opened his mouth and gathered magical power in his abdomen, launching a blast.

"Nofice!" Lilith, standing at the side in dragon scale armor, did not dare to move, constantly worrying about Nofice. Her trembling hand summoned all the evil spirits she commanded to shield Nofice, but unfortunately, the cannon fodder was annihilated in the process.

Lilith instinctively closed her eyes. When she opened them again, Nofice remained motionless, and the energy ball above her head erupted, sending out energy threads that attacked aimlessly like an exploding balloon, causing the summoning of the nine-tailed white fox to vanish. To me, it seemed like the fox had canceled the summoning itself for one simple reason—protecting its own tails.

The energy threads transformed into billions of Magic bullets, instantly piercing through the capital city's Magic shield. Those on the ground, humans and vampires alike, who failed to evade in time would end up dead or severely injured. The ruthless Angel endured Nofice's attacks for about five minutes before he was suppressed to the point of being unable to lift his head.

"Why has Nofice become so much stronger? Her magic power never ceases." Elena also used the same method to enhance her vision, amazed by the non-directional attack scene before her.

"Of course, she's using my magic," I said, casting out my left hand, already halfway transformed into a dragon to accelerate my magic recovery. "In an Angel versus Angel match, this level of destructive power is already considered low. If we don't lure them away from the capital city, they'll relocate it in minutes!"

"Lilith, you've already learned spatial Magic. It's time to put it into practice."

"Are you... are you asking me to teleport Nofice and them away? Isn't that too difficult?"

"I'll teach you a trick to pull it off."

Lilith obeyed my command, and the family's mandarin duck once again rose. The dragon spirit contract on her body jumped to her palm along her arm, and red petals burst from the outside in.

At the corner of Angel's eye, drifting petals made Angel feel uneasy. His back bristled with treachery, his whole body crackling with lightning striking back at Nofice. Thunderbolts rained down freely on the imperial capital as Lilith unleashed advanced spatial magic, turning the battlefield into darkness. When Angel looked at the sky again, there were Angel legions surrounding the seaside, with that same look in their eyes. Angel of No Virtue's counterattack became even more relentless, as magical power compressed in his abdomen erupted, targeting Nofice's energy ball. As an Angel, he understood that Nofice in this state was at its strongest defensively.

The energy ball was attacked, and the target was now locked on Angel of No Virtue. The energy clash shook the entire sea, causing severe casualties and tsunamis along the coast. Suddenly, a gigantic axe spun out of the energy ball, with a monstrous arm sinking into the sea, shocking all the Angels. When the power of the energy ball gathered enough to sever Angel of No Virtue's arm, the morale of the Angel legions plummeted further, with the legion commander in a state of disbelief, as the battlefield conditions worsened.

Unaware, Angel of No Virtue, with only one arm, rose up to swallow Nofice contained within.

"Aren't you going to save them?" Elena walked up to me and asked.

"Save them? I barely have time to spit it out."

The energy ball instantly transformed into eighteen pseudo-sacred spear-like objects inserted into Angel of No Virtue's body.

"What is this energy ball? It can't be the spirit of an Angel!"

"Of course not. Nofice is currently a detached puppet. Originally, Angels did not possess combat capabilities. The first Angel capable of fighting invented the most primitive attack state. Angels caught in this state fluctuate between battle and peace. Nofice does not want to fight but has an irresistible urge to kill."

"A normal Nofice is pure and straightforward, without any complex emotions, all because of a single sentence?"

"Most likely, the words and tone triggered her. When the most familiar voice says the most familiar words, like a mother calling her son. Have you found any information on the conservative movement, Elena?"

Elena opened the documents on her hand, sadly informing me that this so-called "conservative movement" was only a few short lines, no names, no reasons.

"Hundreds of Angel counter-revolutionaries..." I shook my head and handed the paper back to Elena.

"These documents were never expected to be of any use. The Divine Realm's network has already blacklisted me. But even if I could access the network, it would probably be the same."

"Maybe you should ask Hisa, he must know. Remember, the expression on his face last time they met, I don't know if you'll believe it."

In the midst of commanding the battle, Qin Ying said, "Qin Yang, if you don't feel pain right now, find a way to help Nofice."

"I have a way, but you all need to help me guard this place, not a single disturbance is allowed."

Qin Ying and Elena exchanged glances and nodded.

"Teams Thirteen to Twenty, return to the battleship for defense. Extract the enemy reports sent back by the frontline team. Our next move is to launch a surprise attack," Qin Ying, as the captain, seemed to find the silent defensive routine unsuitable for her, especially with the nearby Angels showing signs of hostility.

At this moment, I summoned the Dragonbone Greatsword, with two methods to enter Nofice's current state of mind - slowly untangling or forcibly cutting the thread. Due to time constraints, the latter was the only option.

"Dragonheart Ascends!"

Suddenly everything went dark, and my mind's eye traveled through a tunnel as I spun in the sky. I emerged in a rose-colored sky, safely descending with my flying skills.

A rose-colored sky? The Divine Realm or The Demon Realm?

Where I landed was the rooftop of a building, empty except for clouds stretching out into the sky. I lowered my head... and was greeted by a gruesome sight of white feathers tainted with crimson, leading me to a massacre at the source.

"No wonder the sky has been stained rose red, it's a sky of slaughter."

"Release Judge Nofice, release Judge Nofice, release Judge Nofice..." The fervor of the crowd surged, even the extras in this surreal memory space were so serious, the memory really runs deep.

I passed through the killers and the killed, I am not a part of this memory, the extras wouldn't care about me.

The crowd rushed onto the platform, paying no heed to the slaughter following behind them, slowly closing in on the platform.

"Ah..." A piercing scream sounded from the platform, that voice belonged to Nofice, no doubt.

I dashed into the crowd, with a wave of my hand freezing all the extras in place.

"N... Nofice!" I ran up to the platform, where Nofice was undergoing the Wing-stripping Execution.
