Chapter Four

1

"Augustine!" Hisa's face was filled with anger, showing no mercy as he forcefully pushed open the gorgeously decorated door in front of him. Walking straight to the table, Hisa appeared as if he were ready to demand justice. However, he restrained himself just in time. Otherwise, if he had slammed his fist onto the table, it would have been shattered.

"Hisa, what's going on?" Augustine Brandt, the Chancellor of The Divine Realm, maintained his elegance while facing the emotional outburst of Hisa. However, his pale face showed a slight tremor.

"Why was the proposal for invading Othrie approved! Who proposed that?" Hisa demanded.

"Oh? Hisa, why are you interested in this small nation of The Human Realm?" Augustine replied calmly.

"Don't change the subject. It's not our style to invade a country randomly!"

"What do you mean by our style? Are you suggesting that we are not capable of doing so?"

"We, the divine beings, have an agreement with humans. As the Chancellor, don't you know that?"

Putting down his work, Augustine said, "When it comes to this agreement, I am more familiar with it than you. The agreement explicitly states that the divine beings have the responsibility to hold anyone accountable for insulting our race. Othrie has been spreading a series of accusations against us, centered around insulting our race. We have every right to act this way. Besides, did we initiate the war?"

"Are all those things they said false? Are the pieces of evidence fake?" Hisa, as a powerful deity, understood the situation very well.

"They are false. Those are all slander. In this era, there are both real and fake evidence."

Suddenly, Hisa was silenced by this man who held the highest position in the council. He never expected Augustine to calmly tell lies to his face.

"You..."

"This decision was made collectively by the council. I did not incite, nor did I coerce. Humans are simply foolish. Does condemning us serve any purpose? It's just that Angel couldn't tolerate the pressure and successfully captured Othrie. Numerical Magic will also be ours."

Hisa suddenly grabbed Augustine by the collar, accusing him, "All of you are only after Numerical Magic!"

"We do not deny the threat of Numerical Magic, but fundamentally, it is about the accusations against us."

"Stop with your lies!"

Augustine shook his head, "These are not lies, Hisa. If I am not mistaken, Elder Allen would say the same. Let go, we are all members of the Brandt family. You should understand who has the final say."

Releasing Augustine, Hisa turned and left. Augustine continued, "Although this is not the most prudent decision, we can gain the most benefits now because Qin Yang has once again disappeared. There is no better opportunity than now."

After Hisa left, Augustine smiled and opened the closet behind him. This closet appeared to be just that- a closet, but it served as a disguise. Augustine secretly connected it to the monitor of the frontline legion, picturing Qin Fengyu in the fire under the Phoenix's descent.

"With the victory of this battle, we will officially enter an era of dividing The Human Realm with the demons."

"Mr. Chancellor, there is new information." A young dual-winged Angel entered the room, his rank only that of a messenger.

"Who is it from?"

"Demon King."

"Hey, Hisa, what's going on?" Yuki entered Hisa's field of vision.

"This matter should be related to my older brother. And your father? How is it that so much money for war slipped through financially?"

"Ah, my old man at home has been marginalized, and the one bypassing him is Lord Saint Dragon."

When mentioning the Saint Dragon, Hisa felt strange. Although Hisa had a long life, he was not born during the God-Demon War. His understanding of the Saint Dragon only stayed at the level of legends and books. The disparity between the two was too great, sometimes even making him feel that he was not of the Saint Dragon.

"How was it recognized that the reason for the Dragon Clan transforming into humans was because of the Saint Dragon?"

"The gods of Poplen only knew of three Dragon Clans that could transform into humans, but now there are also Fire Dragons and Three-Headed Dragons. Hisa, are you doubting the origin of the Saint Dragon?"

Hisa nodded and said, "Before he arrived, there were no lies being told blatantly, even though most of the gods were secretly letting out their long-suppressed desires. It was only done in secret!"

"The Divine Realm of our childhood and the current Divine Realm are really very different."

"Let's go, we cannot allow The Divine Realm to continue like this. The clouds above are getting higher and higher, the luxury above the clouds and the destitution below the clouds are all due to these bastards' work!"

"What do you plan to do?"

"Let's see how my older brother responds first. If... if my older brother ends up disappointing me in the end, Yuki... will you support me?"

"Yes, not just me, but there are many who hope for The Divine Realm to change."

Since The Divine Realm, in lightning-like fashion, surrounded Othrie, condemnations of the gods from human countries worldwide ceased abruptly. When it came to cheering, everybody lent each other a hand, but when it came to starting trouble, they were all strangers. It was normal. No one could face this situation without first considering their own country. However, in their eyes, Othrie was also too crazy. The spirit of resistance was shared by everyone, and Othrie was the first to confront it head-on. Internationally, humans attributed this madness to Digital Magic—a synthetic element called "L." If the Angel Legion's siege had not occurred, as originally planned, Othrie would have released the results of the synthetic elements to The Human Realm in three days. Sadly, now that the results were surrounded by The Divine Realm, it was still a mystery whether they could announce it to the world.
