13 The freshman was bullied

After Allen and Kivat's exciting sword match, the exam continued.

Now Katie and Nina stood facing each other.

"You must be the new student Katie, I'm Nina, pleased to meet you."

"Um... um, I'm Katie Cleaver, pleased to meet you... Nina."

Compared to Nina's confident demeanor, Katie seemed a bit timid, her gaze lowered and only initially meeting Nina's eyes.

She's a shy child. Nina couldn't help but smile kindly, she didn't dislike introverted and timid people, especially when they were as cute as Katie.

With her light blue twin tails swinging, fair skin, and shimmering colorful irises when she glanced over, one could see her delicate body through the gaps in her armor, her shoulders drooping on both sides.

It feels like a burden for her to hold a sword.

In Katie's eyes, Nina exuded a sense of maturity completely different from her own, with neatly clean brown hair, the tips brushing against her fair neck, and under her glistening collarbone were medium-sized breasts. Her slender figure exuded allure.

Though they were both 15 years old, why is there such a difference between them?

"Nina, you're facing a freshman, meow. The freshman looks scared, so don't bully her too much, meow."

The demi-human Mia raised her chubby hands to her chest, making fists as if preparing for a fight, looking at the two facing each other.

Suddenly feeling an itch on her cheek, Mia rubbed it with the back of her hand.

Watching Mia's adorable actions, her pair of cat ears twitched incessantly, and Allen showed an excited expression. After the exam, she had already returned her sword to her father and was currently only wearing light armor.

The exam began.

To Nina's surprise, the seemingly timid Katie took the initiative to attack, but her movements were slow.

Awkwardly raising her long sword, she swung it down.

Clang.

Nina effortlessly blocked the strike.

With a little force, Katie was pushed back and sat down on the ground, her sword falling to the floor.

In this manner, Nina easily won the exam.

...

...

As the sword exam ended, time unknowingly reached noon.

"It's so easy to win, meow, haha, meow."

Mia had a triumphant look like a mischievous child who had just grabbed a toy, appearing lively and wicked, her cat ears happily swaying from side to side.

"I feel sorry for your opponent, being knocked back with the first attack and just standing there dumbfounded."

Nina said irritably.

"In the beginning, Mia wanted to do the Shockwave Sword like Allen, meow. But the opponent's grip was too weak and the sword was knocked away immediately, it's really disappointing! Mia didn't even get a chance to practice, meow."

Mia instinctively spoke with her mouth forming an M shape.

"Shockwave Sword?"

"It's the move Allen used to knock away Kivat's sword, meow. Mia named it Shockwave Sword! What a cool name, meow."

"Yeah, it's definitely cool."

Allen nodded in agreement.

But what caught Nina's attention wasn't the name of the sword technique, but the fact that Mia planned to use the same sword technique as Allen.

The Shockwave Sword was definitely not as easy to perform as it appeared, just seeing it once how could an ordinary person possibly execute it, it must take a lot of practice over a long period of time.

"Mia is just a stupid cat with a not-so-good brain, talented only in sword techniques, such racial talent is really unfair."

"Because Nina has a good brain, her sword technique is inferior to Mia, isn't that unfair, meow? Actually, Mia is envious of Nina's clever brain, but The Sphinx's brain is never very clever, meow."

I can't believe you actually said that yourself.

Facing Mia, the outgoing demi-human, both Nina and Allen laughed.Oh, the scene of my daughter and her friends chatting and laughing is wonderful. Daddy is following behind, looking at his daughter with a loving gaze, and Antavia is walking alongside them.

It's lunchtime now, and they are on their way to the cafeteria.

Maybe the swordsmanship exam exhausted their energy, as all three girls feel hungry and want to have a hearty meal, especially Mia, who keeps whining about being hungry. Even though the exam ended with just one sword strike and didn't consume much stamina at all.

Although Hildaran College is not particularly large, it takes at least 40 minutes to walk around. In order to save students' time, the college has set up two cafeterias on the east and west sides.

The swordsmanship hall is closer to the west side, so Allen and her friends decide to go to the west cafeteria for lunch.

The roads in the college are mostly wide and paved with square bricks. There are bushes on both sides, and trees are scattered around. Occasionally, there are stone tablets and sculptures erected, surrounding the towering teaching buildings.

There are not only Allen and her group walking on this school road, but also many other students heading towards the cafeteria.

People with different colors of cloaks can be seen, although they all wear the same school uniform. Most of the students here wear purple or gold cloaks.

Different colors of cloaks represent different grades. Allen and her friends, being in the 4th grade, wear cloaks in green.

"Most of the people around here are upperclassmen, meow."

Mia looks at the surrounding students and blinks with curious cat eyes. Besides the different cloak colors, their appearances and figures are also vastly different.

The upperclassmen are typically around 18 years old, with well-built bodies for the boys and graceful figures for the girls. Their hairstyles are also very fashionable, completely different from Allen and the other intermediate class students.

A contrast between fashion and simplicity.

The classrooms for the upperclassmen are concentrated in this western area, so it belongs to the sphere of influence of the upperclassmen.

The students in the 6th and 7th grades at Hildaran College are elite students, with fundamentally different characteristics and learning methods compared to the beginners and intermediate classes. They often engage in self-study or collaborative research.

Even if they don't attend classes, they are not restricted by the college. Therefore, many upperclassmen simply do not go to school and work as mercenaries or adventurers.

Allen wants to ascend to the upperclassmen and learn the knowledge that only they can obtain.

"By the way, isn't that the freshman who lost to Nina in the swordsmanship exam, meow?"

Mia notices something and looks ahead. She sees a cute girl with two ponytails surrounded by several upperclassmen.

From the way she lowers her head nervously and the serious expressions of the upperclassmen, it can be inferred that she has encountered some trouble.

"I hope she's not being bullied by the upperclassmen. She seems like the type who can easily be taken advantage of."

"Let's go take a look. Since we're classmates, we should help each other."

While Nina has doubts, Allen has already taken big strides and walked over without hesitation.

"Let's go together and help the freshman, defeat the bad upperclassmen, meow."

"Mia, you better not interfere. Besides, there are teachers and the class leader here, so there shouldn't be any problems."

Indeed, there is the class leader, who is like a door god, and the school nurse following behind.
