Chapter 7: Take a Guess

"I am Karensky, the current administrator of the holy land and the Dragon King."

Karensky looked down at Green and Yuzuriha, his voice sounding ethereal and unreal. With his white hair floating gracefully even though there was no wind, he exuded a lofty air -- even though Green wasn't sure why this dragon had hair, while other dragons like the silver dragon, golden dragon, flame dragon, and black dragon were bald.

Perhaps that's what a Dragon King looks like.

Green silently admired Karensky in his heart and nodded.

After a brief self-introduction, Karensky stared at Green for a few seconds with his serpent-like dragon eyes, then shifted his gaze to Yuzuriha, who seemed a bit nervous by his side.

For some reason, Yuzuriha felt an inexplicable pressure from the dragon in front of her, making her subconsciously feel a little flustered.

"No need to be nervous. Although we dragons rarely interact with the outside world and have fierce appearances, we would never easily harm the innocent," Karensky said.

As soon as he finished speaking, Karensky paused for a moment before continuing, "Except for young, ignorant dragons."

"Oh..."

So the flame dragon from earlier was probably one of those ignorant dragons.

Yuzuriha seemed to relax a little after hearing the Dragon King's words, but it wasn't because of what he said, but simply because she realized that Green was by her side.

"Do you have any business with the two of us?" Green asked.

Karensky became serious when he heard Green's question, and Green could clearly feel a change in his aura.

It was the arrogance and superiority that a strong person would have when facing a weak person.

This made Green feel somewhat puzzled.

"This distinguished guest who traveled from afar, to be honest, I have a feeling that I've seen you somewhere before. Have we met?" Karensky asked.

As soon as he said that, Green couldn't deny that the feeling of familiarity became even stronger.

At this moment, Green was certain that the familiar feeling he had before was not fake, but very likely a real encounter.

So he furrowed his brows and stared intently at Karensky's enormous dragon head, trying to recall similar scenes in his mind.

The gaze, the aura, and the presence...

The more Green looked, the stronger the feeling of familiarity became, and for a moment, Green seemed to see a shadow merging with the Dragon King.

In an instant, Green's eyes lit up, and he exclaimed, "Could you be the former Dragon King from another world whom I defeated in the past?!"

"Could it be that you are the formidable enemy that the previous generation Dragon King encountered years ago?!"

At the same time, they said in unison.

"?"

"…?"

The expressions of the two men changed greatly.

Especially Karensky, the expression on his face could only be described as "wonderful".

But before Karensky could react further, Green reached out and took out a red fruit.

Seeing this, Karensky's dragon face was filled with question marks. But after carefully observing the fruit in Green's hand, he suddenly paled and exclaimed, "So you found the Dragon Crystal Fruit lost by the previous Dragon King?!"

"This is the fruit I snatched from that Dragon King from another world..."

"…?"

"…"

Karensky's dragon face visibly froze for a moment, and Green blinked in response, then looked at Karensky with a look of disdain and took a few bites of the Dragon Crystal Fruit.

While Yuzuriha didn't quite understand the meaning of their conversation, she had a general idea and remained silent by the side.

"You mentioned the previous Dragon King just now, right?"

"…"

Green quickly finished eating the Dragon Crystal Fruit in his hand, then looked at Karensky with a somewhat amused expression. It was clear that Karensky couldn't accept Green's words and seemed a bit dazed.

But soon Kallenovsky came back to his senses, his emotions fluctuated and his tone became a bit domineering.

"It's impossible. The great Dragon King would never lie! Lord Ophir is the most powerful dragon in our dragon clan's history. How could he be defeated by a human like you?!"

"Whether he's great or not is none of my business. If it's the previous Dragon King you mentioned, just let him come out and meet me. Besides, you do look a bit different from the scrawny dragon in my memory."

"... How am I different?"

Green was stunned. He didn't expect this white giant dragon to ask such a careful and curious question after hearing his words.

"Your style is not as fancy as his..."

"Style? What does that mean?"

"You don't have any glow on your body."

"... Oh, I see."

In response to Green's request, Kallenovsky, who considered himself friendly and just, agreed casually. Under his lead, Green quickly arrived at an empty island.

The island was floating in the sky, or more accurately, it seemed to be floating in mid-air.

Looking down from the edge of the island, all one could see was a vast white expanse, with no other objects in sight.

"By the way, you just said he's the previous Dragon King. What happened? Is it because he's not fit anymore or something else happened that made you take his place?"

"..."

Kallenovsky heard Green's indifferent tone and recalled the words left by the previous Dragon King, and his expression became somewhat unnatural.

But fortunately, he was a dragon, so Green couldn't read too many emotions from his dragon face.

"The previous Dragon King's name is Ophir. He is the most powerful and respectable dragon in our clan. Hundreds of years ago, Lord Ophir married a human girl and had a daughter. However, shortly after the birth of the daughter, she went missing, and since then, Lord Ophir has been searching for her all over the world, but unfortunately, he hasn't found her yet, and his body has been worn down by time... Plus, a few years ago, when he went to a distant place, he encountered a formidable enemy and was seriously injured, which forced him to pass the throne to me."

As Kallenovsky spoke, there was a clear tone of admiration in his voice, and as he reached the end, his tone became somewhat regretful.

But Green was not emotionally affected by this, instead, he was very concerned about one question.

"You dragons are so big... how do you have children with humans? Do you do that kind of thing? Isn't there any reproductive isolation?"

"Bang, bang..."

With a few light sounds, Kallenovsky stopped in his tracks.

The scene fell into a dead silence for a while.

After a while, Kallenovsky finally broke the awkward atmosphere.

"That's a very targeted question. Let me tell you, Lord Ophir is not only the strongest dragon in our clan, but also the first dragon in the clan to be able to transform into a human form. As for reproductive isolation, that only exists among lower species."

"... Why do I feel like I'm being inexplicably despised?"

Kallenovsky ignored Green's muttering and continued:

"You must have heard of the concept of 'Dragon-Human Hybrid' before, right? That's a small group of dragons with the ability to transform into human forms and the offspring of external races."

"Is Ophir's daughter also considered a Dragon-Human Hybrid?"

"Hmm...?"

Speaking up was Yuzuriha, and her interruption surprised Kallenovsky a bit.

This seemingly timid human girl dared to ask him so articulately. Who gave her the courage? Was it the short one next to her?

Kallenovsky subconsciously looked smugly at Green.

"Technically, that's correct, but no one has seen her or knows for sure."

After saying that, the two continued in silence until they reached a huge cave entrance.

Upon arriving here, Green was speechless.

The previous Dragon King, living in a cave-like place... how disgraceful!

Just then, an illusory voice with a tyrannical aura came from the pitch-black cave entrance.

"Who is it that disturbs my slumber?"

"It's me, Lord Ophir, Karenovski."

"Little Skie?"

The tone inside obviously changed, and the previous sense of dignity instantly disappeared.

"Oh, it's you, Little Skie. I knew no one with a death wish would dare to disturb me. They wouldn't have the guts."

Just like old friends who haven't seen each other in years, a natural and relaxed tone came from inside, and at the same time, Green felt the ground slightly vibrating.

After a few seconds, as expected, a giant dragon appeared in front of Green.

The white dragon hair at the edge of the dragon's head had a hint of dark red, resembling Karenovski's appearance, but with careful observation for a few seconds, even someone who saw them for the first time could quickly distinguish between the two dragons.

Ophir soon noticed Green and Yuzuriha.

"She is...?"

An inexplicable feeling compelled him to first focus his gaze on Yuzuriha. After not finding anything special, he glanced at Green.

At first, it didn't matter if he didn't look, but after staring for two seconds, he suddenly thought of something. His pupils contracted sharply, and his entire dragon body visibly trembled.

Then, Ophir's body rapidly shrank and ultimately transformed into a human form similar in height to Green.

Karenovski was bewildered by Ophir's behavior, but he didn't have the ability to transform into a human form, so he could only move a little and take a few steps back to create some distance.

At this moment, a old and vigorous old man appeared in front of Green.

Before Green could speak, Ophir spoke first.

"It's your first time seeing me like this, isn't it? I think you shouldn't have forgotten me. Several years ago, when I left, we had an intense battle."

"Oh."

Green responded, not even nodding, which made Ophir feel embarrassed.

At this point, Green could confirm without a doubt that the person in front of him was the Dragon King from another world who had been beaten by him, and his Dragon Crystal Fruit had also been "scrounged" from him.

"Thank you for the Dragon Crystal Fruit from before. It tasted great."

"You're welcome...hmm?"

Halfway through his sentence, Ophir suddenly realized that something was not right.

His brows furrowed, and he asked, "Why are you here?"

"Take a guess."
