How can I, barehanded, confront an Atlas Brown Bear...?

As Chongzong charged towards the Atlas Brown Bear, this question lingered in his mind.

Meanwhile, the Atlas Brown Bear, with gentle movements, placed Van on the ground and freed its hands to face Chongzong.

—What should I do?

Chongzong pondered seriously.

Firstly, the goal was to escape from Yasaka Shrine with Van and the materials obtained by Van.

Observing, Chongzong noticed Van had lost consciousness and was unlikely to regain strength quickly.

Fortunately, the crucial items were strapped to Van's thigh using Velcro.

Therefore, Chongzong felt his task was to neutralize the Atlas Brown Bear, then carry Van away from Yasaka Shrine as quickly as possible.

But how to neutralize the bear?

Chongzong had a plan.

Yet, he was unwilling to carry it out, as it contradicted his principles and values.

However, in such a critical moment, was it necessary to adhere strictly to these principles?

Chongzong convinced himself.

Whether resorting to shameful tactics or being condemned by others, he would do whatever it takes to ensure everyone's safety and accomplish the mission.

With this determination, Chongzong charged towards the Atlas Brown Bear.

Without hesitation, he executed a flying side kick aimed at the bear's abdomen.

Normally, a flying kick targets an opponent's head or chest, not the abdomen.

However, due to the significant height difference between Chongzong and the Atlas Brown Bear, attacking the bear's abdomen was a viable option.

The abdomen is a vulnerable spot to defend.

According to Chongzong's plan, the bear would grab his leg and utilize a lock.

Unexpectedly, the bear's movement was sluggish, failing to seize the opportunity. It barely defended the kick with its arms and stumbled a few steps backward to regain balance.

—What's going on?

Chongzong couldn't believe that his flying kick forced the Atlas Brown Bear to retreat.

—Something's off with the bear.

—Is it still recovering from the prior shock of the stun gun?

Chongzong considered this possibility highly likely.

The bear pushed itself to chase, likely still feeling the effects of paralysis, leading to slow reactions.

Although taking advantage of the situation, Chongzong must seize this breakthrough.

Chongzong closely pressed the Atlas Brown Bear step by step, moving agilely from side to side, sometimes left and sometimes right, but focusing his attacks on the bear's knees and side abdomen. Each strike was aimed at breaking free, never lingering for another chance to attack. After several attacks, the Atlas Brown Bear showed obvious signs of fatigue, breathing heavily and struggling to keep up with Chongzong's speed. "It's time," Chongzong realized. He knew that now was the perfect moment to launch a decisive attack to temporarily disable the bear from pursuing him.

But how to do it specifically? Against an opponent of average build, Chongzong was confident in using joint techniques to break the opponent's legs or arms. However, facing the Atlas Brown Bear with arms and legs twice the size of an ordinary person's, Chongzong had no confidence in such tactics. Yet, Chongzong had his own alternative plan. After taking a deep breath, Chongzong exerted all his strength under his feet and charged towards the Atlas Brown Bear once again.
