The ranged shooting of Uesugi Yui posed a significant threat to the enemies just by its existence alone. Whether they hit the mark or not, the enemies had to allocate a substantial portion of their focus to guard against attacks from Uesugi Yui. With this crucial cover, Chongzong had a bargaining chip to engage with the enemies once more.

Having prepared to trust Uesugi Yui to cover their backs, Chongzong decisively turned towards the Atlas grizzly bear, simultaneously keeping an eye on the movements of the Tibetans behind. The plan was to rescue Van and then quickly retreat.

Meanwhile, the Tibetans seemed surprised by the unexpected long-range support and immediately took cover by the wall. As an archer, they understood the power of the bow and arrow. In this age of firearms, where the potency of guns was the norm, bows and arrows were often underestimated. However, a well-aimed arrow could incapacitate an opponent, if not kill them outright.

The Tibetans wanted to eliminate the threat of long-range attacks first, but lacking any observation tools, they couldn't pinpoint where Chongzong's arrows were coming from in the dim early morning light. This meant they could not retaliate with sniping.

As a result, the tide of battle shifted once again. At the same time, on a rooftop near Yasaka Shrine, Uesugi Yui held a bow, with a binocular hanging around her neck, observing keenly. Unable to shoot while maintaining a sightline like a sniper rifle, she had to first confirm the situation with her binoculars. Then, relying on her memory, she took shots in the blurry darkness.

To be honest, initially, Uesugi Yui couldn't bring herself to release the arrows without knowing who she would hit – it was against her principles as an archer to shoot blindly into the unknown. Archers had to take responsibility for every arrow they let loose. To shoot arrows without clear visibility was to endorse indiscriminate violence.

But for Chongzong, for Van, she had to make a change. Choosing to take a chance rather than watch the mission fail and everyone being captured, Uesugi Yui steeled herself, informed the team through the wireless communicator, and then let loose the first arrow.

After the shot, she immediately picked up her binoculars hanging on her chest to observe the hit. Upon seeing the arrow only stuck in the ground, Uesugi Yui breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't ready to harm or kill anyone yet. But if she did hit the target, she was ready to face the consequences.

After another observation of the enemy's position, Uesugi Yui noticed that they had taken cover by the wall. Still, this didn't deter her from shooting. The rooftop she stood on was spacious enough, not far from Yasaka Shrine, giving her a broad shooting angle.

Meanwhile, the pre-dawn hour was far from calm. Occasional gusts of wind blew by, significantly affecting the trajectory of the arrows. Coupled with Uesugi Yui's exceptional archery skills, she could use various shooting techniques, like high-arcing shots, adjusting her archery style flexibly.

The enemy's decision to hide behind the wrong wall was due to their misconception that Uesugi Yui's arrows were coming from that direction. In reality, the arrows curved out of their sight.

Uesugi Yui fully utilized the advantage of this layer of information and vision, completely suppressing the enemy, making them scramble along the wall, with no time to bother Chongzong.
