Time was passing by second by second.

Chongzong's thoughts were clear. At this moment, both he and Van were in a very precarious situation. At the moment of being discovered, escaping even a second earlier would significantly increase the chances of a successful mission. Conversely, once the enemies reinforced and surrounded them layer by layer, there would be no way out.

"Calling Eel No. 2, I will commence the assault in 10 seconds. Please follow me closely as we charge out together." (Chongzong)

"Eel No. 2, Roger." (Van)

Upon hearing Van's confirmation, Chongzong started the countdown over the intercom, "Ten, nine, eight, seven..." (Chongzong)

"Three, two, one!!!" (Chongzong)

As he counted down to one, Chongzong held up a whiteboard in front of him and rushed towards the exit.

—If their archery skills are on point, they might aim for my feet.

With this in mind, Chongzong added some unpredictability to his straight-line assault by incorporating irregular zigzag movements.

Just as he anticipated, the enemies targeted his feet, which were not covered by the whiteboard. Several arrows flew by Chongzong, narrowly missing him and landing on the ground with a loud clang.

If the opponent managed to shoot more arrows, adapting to Chongzong's speed, hitting him would be a matter of seconds.

However, Chongzong was already very close to the exit.

With his shield (whiteboard) in hand, even if the enemies had some plan waiting for them at the exit, it was not a hopeless situation. He had the confidence to fight.

Was Van following closely behind him?

Did any of the enemy arrows miss him but hit Van instead?

Chongzong was worried, but the current situation did not allow him to turn back and check. His attention could not waver from the exit even for a second.

Ten meters, five meters, one meter...!!!

Chongzong dashed out in one go. If anyone tried to attack him the moment he emerged, he would use the shield (whiteboard) to push them back.

Yet, no attack came.

The process of charging out of the exit went unexpectedly smoothly, and Chongzong did not see any enemies shooting arrows at them from the exit as before.

In an instant, a thought flashed through Chongzong's mind, and he felt an intense chill behind him. Without hesitation, he immediately tightened his grip on the shield (whiteboard) and turned around.

Almost simultaneously, an arrow hit the whiteboard directly, the arrowhead deeply embedded in it, almost piercing through. The powerful impact made Chongzong's hands numb, nearly causing the whiteboard to fall to the ground.

The smooth escape gave Chongzong an unusually strong sense of trepidation.

Such cunning enemies would definitely seize the opportunity to attack when their opponents charged out of a door with compromised visibility.

Realizing this, he instantly thought that the enemies might be hiding to exploit the blind spot behind him.

Without a second thought, he swiftly turned around to defend his back.

Fortunately, Chongzong acted decisively without any hesitation. Otherwise, if he had been half a second slower, the arrow stuck in the whiteboard would have pierced through his body.

After blocking the blow, Chongzong immediately went in search of the archer's whereabouts.

Though the day was still dimly lit, Chongzong quickly spotted a figure moving swiftly, holding what looked like a bow-shaped object.

At this close range, the shield (white board) was no longer necessary. Without hesitation, Chongzong hurled the white board like a frisbee towards the enemy and charged towards them swiftly.
