Perspective: Aliyah Location: Lake City
That Oyado guy really makes good use of his small size, swiftly moving around in such a narrow space. In an instant, Oyado slid along the floor of the ceiling cavity and positioned himself right above those traitors who were gathered around a green round table, whispering about something. Even from this far away, I could still hear what they were discussing, mainly about the division of the mainland in the future. These people are just too mindful, not even getting started yet and already discussing such matters here. One might say they are naive or something. But, I don't really care about these things; watching them actually gives me peace of mind. After all, if we were dealing with cautious individuals, things would be much more troublesome. However, facing just fools as enemies, one doesn't need to worry at all.
While I was mulling over these thoughts, Oyado had already positioned himself, and with a wave of her hand, conjured a small cluster of cold air balloons, pressing them onto the ceiling. The cold air seeped through the ceiling and into the room, forming a thin mist that descended. Ice magic? Oyado actually learned ice magic as well? I thought she was only focusing on martial arts and gave up studying magic, but it seems she's doing well. And ice magic... is that Fir's teaching, perhaps? Well, anyway, since Oyado is considered one of Fir's students, it's natural to learn it. Let's see how she applies this ice magic.
The cold air originally had a visible blue color, but as it permeated through the ceiling and mixed with the air, it quickly faded and vanished. However, the cold air definitely descended, and soon enough, I saw one of the people below shiver.
"Do you guys feel it's getting colder here?" one of them suddenly said. He was the King of the Shinfuu Kingdom and happened to be right below where Oyado was, hence he immediately sensed the chill. He rubbed his neck and looked at the others.
"Cold? What are you talking about?" another person, the Emperor of the Gensou Empire, replied. But as soon as he spoke, he shivered.
"Oh, now that you mention it, it does seem that way. What's happening? Li Shuang, do you feel it?" he asked another person.
"Cold?" Li Shuang frowned and glanced around. "Indeed, it's a bit chilly. What's going on?"
"Could it be the Aquatic Tribe has done something?"
"Don't be ridiculous! If the Aquatic Tribe wanted to do something, there's no need to bring us here; they could just launch a direct attack, couldn't they?"
"Well, that's true," the leader of the Gensou Empire remarked. "But we are the leaders of the cities closest to the sea. If they were to eliminate us first, they could easily take over our cities."
"Are you suggesting we retreat then?"
"Of course not," the other party chuckled. "I'm just saying we need to be cautious."
As Oyado continued to act, the room was now filled with a cold chill. Then, she pointed forward, indicating to climb ahead. As we climbed to the edge of the ceiling, I realized there were two Aquatic Tribe members standing guard outside the room.
"Should we take them out?"
I gestured with my hand above my neck.
Oyado nodded.
Then we carefully opened the vent above the corridor, seized the opportunity, and hung upside down, each striking the neck of one of the two Aquatic Tribe.
Before the two Aquatic Tribe could make a sound, their HP bars hit zero. With one final push, we pulled their bodies back up to the ceiling.
"These are shrimp people, won't bleed, how convenient."
I looked at the body and said.
"Yeah, and now we wait, those people inside should come out soon," Oyado remarked.
As Oyado predicted, the people in the room started to argue and head out to find an Aquatic Tribe to question.
But as they reached the doorway, they were taken aback.
"Huh? Didn't that Aquatic Tribe just mention there would be guards at the entrance?" the King of the Kamikaze Kingdom asked.
"Yeah, I saw them when we came in, there were guards at the entrance, but now they're nowhere to be seen," another person remarked.
Everyone gathered at the door, and just as they were discussing, another Aquatic Tribe approached from a distance.
"Let's go, that guy is pretty strong, probably already onto us, the job is done," I observed.
I scrutinized the approaching Aquatic Tribe who was level 88, indeed formidable.
"Huh? What are you doing?"
"Look."
Oyado pointed to inside the room and through the crack in the ceiling, I saw that the bodies of the two Aquatic Tribe had been placed in the same position they were in before, by her, without us noticing.
My goodness, she was truly devious.
"Alright, let's go."
"Tsk tsk tsk, not going to see how it ends?"
"If we see how it ends, our trick will be easily discovered, let's go. Fortunately, there's no dust on the ceiling."
I nodded and followed Oyado out.
After walking along the passage for a while, we finally emerged from an exterior passage.
"Hahaha, they're in for a surprise this time, let's see how they handle it."
"Yeah, let's go back and report now, they'll have some..."
Oyado was interrupted when suddenly, a massive ice pillar rose from the distance!
"..."
We glanced at each other, shrugged.
"Fir, he can be quite the troublemaker still."
"Yeah..."
