I am immersed in a sea of happiness, having dreams that surpass anything I could have imagined in my past lives.

Every smile and frown of my master is deeply engraved in my bones, and I can recall the feeling of their touch on every inch of my skin, the blend of cold and warmth, just by closing my eyes.

In this past month, my master has become much more relaxed, perhaps choosing to balance work and leisure before the upcoming victory.

My master sits on the large chair in the reception hall of the Lord's Mansion, and I bring over a small stool to sit next to them, resting my head against the armrest of the chair, and listen to my master speak.

Suddenly, a soldier rushes in, kneeling down and pale-faced.

"Lord Demon King! General Heath Relia... she has led a rebellion in the imperial capital, and now there is widespread support for her."

"Hmm, you may go."

"Lord Demon King!"

The soldier looks up, his face filled with shock.

Meanwhile, I am frozen, unable to move, and my master continues to maintain a faint smile.

The soldier shouts again, almost on the verge of tears.

"Lord Demon King! General Heath Relia has betrayed you!"

"I know, you may leave."

My master's calmness petrifies me, while the soldier clenches his teeth and runs out of the hall, holding back his tears.

"Master... they must be lying, right?"

How could Heath Relia possibly betray my master? How could she have the intention to rebel?

How could, how could, how could?

I was waiting for her to come back and take over my master's affairs, allowing my master to become a carefree boss again.

I raise my head, pleadingly looking at my master, and they simply smile and pat my head.

"What do you think?"

"This must be false, Heath Relia wouldn't do such a thing."

"It is true, and... I knew about it long ago because I arranged it."

"Why?"

Everything begins to connect.

What Heath Relia said, what my master said, what Heath Relia did, what my master did.

"Why did you deceive me?"

I had been kept in the dark all along, spun in circles.

A deep sense of powerlessness and a dull ache in my mind, I tightly grip my master's arm.

The clockwork of the crystal ball of my beautiful dream suddenly stops, cracks appear, and it shatters, tears flooding out.

Everything falls into place, everything becomes clear.

I've been fooled like a fool, deceived...

------------------------------------------

I curl up in my blanket.

I listen to the soldiers reporting to my master every day, talking about the cities I once led the demon soldiers to invade, one by one being conquered by Heath Relia and the human rebels.

Each of them was exchanged with all my efforts, countless bloodshed, all laid out for my master's imperial domination of the world.

But now, everything becomes meaningless.

My master won't let me go out to fight, locking away my abilities, keeping me confined in this room.

A year of effort gone in an instant.

The achievements I piled up shattered by my master in one fell swoop.

Without me, my defending soldiers are crushed by Heath Relia's rebel army, just like how I once crushed the humans.

Now I understand, what Heath Relia and my master said, our demon race has more than just 300,000 soldiers, and it's not just Heath Relia's rebel army that exceeds that number, but also more than 300,000 forcibly conscripted by my master specifically for Heath Relia.

The so-called Heath Relia returning to the imperial capital to handle affairs was just my master giving her time to launch a coup.

Yes.

I've been deceived all this time.

My master never allowed me to interfere with their affairs, perhaps fearing that I would discover something amiss.

I am heartbroken.

The person I trusted the most distrusts me.
