update icon Updated at 2025/12/4 13:10:12

On the battlefield of Crescent Empire and Ruined Land, Tadefin brandished his sickle-hook spear, leaving a trail of marks in the air with each swing, delivering fatal blows to the golden Bimong beasts.

The golden Bimong beast let out a furious roar, attacking Tadefin with punch after punch.

Tadefin kept evading, even if he was hit by the golden Bimong beast, he was only sent flying hundreds of meters or dented into the ground by an inch, which meant nothing to him.

He thrust his sickle-hook spear, shooting a chilling gleam towards the left eye of a golden Bimong beast, piercing through the eyeball, blood flowing out.

"Roar!"

The golden Bimong beast covered its eye, howling in pain, raising its fist in anger to strike Tadefin.

Tadefin dodged, stepping on the head of the golden Bimong beast.

"Crack!"

The golden Bimong beast screamed, its head crushed into pieces.

"Hahaha!" Tadefin laughed loudly, "A million years have passed, and you Bimong beasts still haven't evolved a brain, still so foolish!"

After saying that, Tadefin swung his sickle-hook spear again, smashing the head of another golden Bimong beast, blood spattering all over the ground.

One golden Bimong beast after another was slain by Tadefin. His body was covered in a lot of foul-smelling blood, and his face was dirty, but Tadefin didn't mind, because he enjoyed this kind of battle.

On the battlefield, the magic of the military mages and wizards poured out towards the enemy's camp, explosions resounded one after another, and the war began to burn.

Piles of bodies stacked up like mountains, the strong smell of blood filled the air, making people nauseous.

Davis led the knights to withdraw from the main battlefield, resting under a tall hill.

He planned to lead the knights to flank and launch a surprise attack on the wizards, catching them off guard.

About fifteen minutes later, the knights began to act under Davis's leadership.

"Swoosh!"

At this moment, an arrow came whistling through the air, incredibly fast.

Davis's pupils shrank, he quickly raised his weapon to block in front of him.

"Clang!" A loud noise sounded, Davis felt his arms go numb, a great force pressed against him, the grip of his weapon cracked, and his entire arm lost sensation.

Davis hurriedly let go of the weapon and looked down, only to see a bloody hole on his right shoulder, blood pouring out incessantly.

Davis looked up, seeing a man in white armor standing in the distance, his gaze ice-cold, unmistakably the commander of this unit, Yilan.

"Human, you have overestimated yourself!" Yilan's indifferent voice sounded, full of disdain.

Davis gritted his teeth, enduring the intense pain, "Do you think you've won?"

Yilan sneered, "If it weren't for your luck in avoiding the war that destroyed the White Stork Empire, I'm afraid you would have been slaughtered by us long ago!"

"Talking is useless, blades will decide the victor! I'll tear you apart!" Ignoring the bleeding wound, Davis wielded his sword and charged.

Countless members of the knights behind him drew their weapons, charging alongside him.

They knew that the winged man before them was one of the killers who destroyed the White Stork Empire.

"Kill these humans and eliminate all of these remnants." Yilan's eyes grew colder, filled with a heavy sense of bloodlust.

With a command from Yilan, the winged man soaring in the sky drew his sword and swooped down, engaging in a deadly battle with Davis and his knight squad.

Using their descending momentum and force, they decapitated a number of knights, the sound of their heads hitting the ground crisp and loud.

"Kill!"

Despite the pain in his right shoulder, Davis roared in his heart, wielding his longsword to meet the attackers head-on.

"Clang~" A clear sound of metal clashes echoed as his sword collided with several weapons, igniting sparks.

Facing the assault of four or five individuals, Davis seemed to handle it with ease, but gradually showed signs of exhaustion.

A mocking arc formed at the corner of Yilan's mouth as he pulled out his bow and aimed at Davis.

An arrow was released, piercing through the air with a sharp whistling sound, striking Davis' left arm.

"Ah!"

Davis didn't cry out in pain; he swung his sword and cut off the arrow lodged in his left arm, only to be struck by another sword, leaving a bloody gash in his body.

He kicked the winged man soldier away and continued swinging his longsword, cutting down one winged man after another.

"To still possess resistance, how interesting." Yilan's eyes squinted slightly, a cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth, "Let's torment you a bit."

He pulled back on his bow, and with a "swish" sound, the arrow was released.

This time, Davis blocked it horizontally with his longsword, but two winged man soldiers' swords struck his shoulders.

He grunted in pain, stumbling back a few steps before steadying himself.

Davis couldn't fight against seven or eight winged man soldiers while also guarding against Yilan. He would either be shot by Yilan's arrows or be wounded by their longswords.

He had no chance to catch his breath, only able to continuously wield his longsword and slay the surrounding winged man soldiers.

Cruelty shone in Yilan's eyes as he pulled back on his bow once again, releasing an arrow that pierced through Davis' chest and pinned him to a tree behind him. Blood gushed out, staining the tree trunk bright red.

"Er~ah~" Davis let out a desperate scream.

Yilan felt a thrill run through him.

Immediately, Yilan drew his bow again, and three arrows quickly followed, striking Davis' left leg, right leg, and right arm.

"Hu-chi!" Two sounds rang out as the arrows pierced Davis' legs, causing blood to gush out.

"Ah~"

Davis cried out in agony, his consciousness becoming increasingly blurry as time passed. His strength gradually drained from his body, his gaze becoming distant as he watched the White Stork knights fearlessly fight and fall one by one in the pool of blood.

He wanted to shout, "Retreat...escape quickly..." but no matter how hard he tried, the words couldn't come out of his throat. His eyelids grew heavier, and he finally succumbed to darkness, falling into a coma.

After Davis fell, the White Stork knights remained calm. Hatred had clouded their vision, their minds telling them, "Killing one is not a loss, killing two is a gain!"

Even though the knight squad possessed a spirit of embracing death, they were outnumbered by the winged man soldiers. With their aerial advantage, it didn't take long for this group of knights to be completely massacred by the winged men.

Yilan's eyes were filled with contempt as he looked at Davis's body, saying coldly, "This guy is so weak that he didn't even touch a single strand of my hair."

"Go around from this place and eliminate the human mage."

"Yes!"

Yilan's command was quickly passed down, and the winged man immediately began to prepare, ready to go around behind the human legion and deliver a fatal blow to the humans.

By then, everyone will attack that winged human, even if we have to drag him to death.
