So Liliya made a special trip to the bedroom, hoping to talk Luna into going easy on the Little Demon King.
As it happened, Luna had Luxiu cuddled in her arms and was feeding him some meat.
Liliya saw the whole thing, and the sight left the innocent girl utterly stunned.
“The Little Demon King missed his mommy, and he was hungry, so I’m feeding him.”
Luna was completely unfazed by Liliya’s sudden arrival. She even rested a hand on the back of the Little Demon King’s head, helping him enjoy his meal even more.
“Huh?”
Liliya’s little cherry lips fell open. For a moment, she couldn’t think of how to describe this bold, uninhibited mature elf.
“Hehe, just look at how happily the Little Demon King’s eating.”
A gentle smile appeared on the elf’s beautiful, mature face. She looked just like a mother who’d devoted herself to raising her child.
“Mmph, mmph…”
The Little Demon King heard them talking, but his face was pressed into the soft hills, leaving him unable to speak.
He was already embarrassed enough to be bullied by a fat woman. Now someone else had seen him in such a humiliating state.
An overwhelming wave of shame washed over him.
Without thinking, he snuggled closer to Luna’s soft, warm body, wanting to disappear into the cotton candy and escape the Demon King’s ultimate humiliation.
“Big Sis Luna, um… won’t he suffocate?”
Liliya was always considerate of others. She felt that if Luna kept feeding the Little Demon King like this, he wouldn’t be able to breathe properly.
“It’s fine. If he runs out of air, Mommy will give him mouth-to-mouth.”
Luna held the Little Demon King in place against her ample chest with one hand under his bottom. Her other hand was busy too, rubbing his earlobe with playful interest.
Her hands were misbehaving, and her words were even worse. She’d actually started calling herself the Little Demon King’s “mom”—despite having no blood relation to him whatsoever.
“Mmph! How dare you…”
The Little Demon King instinctively felt that something was very wrong. This mature elf actually wanted to be his mom?
Furious, he summoned every last bit of strength and tried to swallow the fruit of the cherry tree growing on the mountain.
“Mmm…”
Luna’s body had been strengthened by magic, but it was still made of flesh and blood.
A blush spread across the mature elf’s cheeks. Her expression looked pained, but not quite… It was hard to describe.
“Big Sis Luna, maybe you should put Luxiu down. He doesn’t seem to like this…”
Liliya was the youngest girl in the demon-slaying party. She usually had little of her own to say, and this was the first time she’d ever questioned her elf sister.
“Mmph…”
The Little Demon King’s feet dangled in the air, swaying as if silently pleading for help.
“I’m not asking some lowly human for help! The soles of my feet just itch.”
The Little Demon King tried to explain away his moment of weakness.
“Little Liliya, you seem awfully concerned about the Demon King. Don’t tell me you want to cuddle and kiss him too?”
A hint of displeasure flickered in Luna’s emerald eyes as she asked in return.
It wasn’t that she had a bad temper. It was just that anyone would be annoyed at being interrupted at a time like this.
“N-no, that’s not what I meant! I just think the Demon King is still little. We shouldn’t treat him this way…”
Liliya’s face turned bright red as she hurriedly tried to explain.
Though… she did feel that cuddling the tiny Demon King in her arms would be wonderful.
“Mmph! You’re the little one! I’m mighty, great, and huge! There’s no way ‘little’ applies to me!”
The girl’s well-meaning words had hit a nerve. The Little Demon King wrenched his face free of the fleshy mountain and loudly protested.
“Don’t mind him. He’s just a child who doesn’t know any better. Mommy will teach him some manners.”
Luna pressed a hand down on the Little Demon King’s head, pinning him in place once more.
“Big Sis Luna, if you’re looking for a man, I could try to help. I’m a princess of the Kingdom of Kaida, and my mother dotes on me. If I want something, she’ll find it for me…”
Even though the Little Demon King wasn’t grateful, Liliya still wanted to help him.
“Thanks for the thought, but I only want this child. He’s so cute. Other men just don’t appeal to me.”
For once, the mature elf was serious. She turned Liliya down plainly.
“Th-then… at least wait until he’s grown up! He’s so little, Big Sis Luna. Don’t you feel guilty?”
Since being gentle hadn’t worked, Liliya tried appealing to Luna’s sense of morality.
“He’s a hundred and one. He’s an adult demon. He’s old enough to be your dad’s dad. You can’t judge by appearances.”
Luna was an elf, and human morality meant next to nothing to her. She didn’t feel guilty in the slightest.
While the two were still discussing Luxiu, a beastkin girl with bright red hair and a pair of fox ears walked in.
“Luna, you’ve had your fun. It’s my turn now, right?”
Sarah eyed the Little Demon King, who was still clinging to the mature elf, and made her demand without the slightest hesitation.
“I’ve only had a little appetizer. I haven’t even gotten to the main course yet. Little Sarah, if you’re in a hurry, why not join us?”
The elf didn’t want to give up the Little Demon King when she’d barely had him to herself.
“Hey, it’s been half an hour! You still haven’t gotten down to business? Are all elves this slow?”
Sarah wasn’t nearly as easy to fool as Liliya. She pursed her lips in annoyance and complained.
“Elves have incredible stamina in every way.”
Luna’s words carried a suggestive undertone.
“I don’t care. It’s my turn now. I need to interrogate the Demon King. We can’t find any of the treasure in this stupid castle, and who knows where he hid it.”
Sarah couldn’t be bothered to argue with the shameless elf and firmly stated what she wanted.
“All right. You get half an hour too.”
Taking her teammates’ feelings into account, the mature elf agreed to give way.
She wrapped her arms around the Little Demon King’s waist and reluctantly lowered him until his feet touched the ground again.
“Fat woman, shorty, and now you, you despicable beastkin! Just you wait. Once the Red Moon is over, I’ll make you suffer!”
The moment Luxiu regained his brief freedom, he pointed at the detestable women and spat out a threat that didn’t sound intimidating in the slightest.
He still imagined that even if the Demon King’s Crown was shattered, he wouldn’t lose his power.
“Shorty… does she mean me?”
Liliya was probably the only one hurt by the Little Demon King’s words.
She was about the same height as the Little Demon King—around 1.6 meters.
In a world where women averaged 1.7 meters tall, that really did count as short.
“You two, go on ahead. I’m going to interrogate the Demon King alone.”
Hearing the Little Demon King’s outrageous threats, the short-tempered Sarah immediately lost her patience.
“Sis Sarah…”
Liliya, with her kind heart, was about to do something, but Luna put an arm around her and led her out of the Demon King’s bedroom.
“Don’t worry. Sarah’s all bark and no bite. She won’t do anything too awful to the Little Demon King.”
The elf patted her shoulder, comforting the anxious girl.
Inside the bedroom, the Little Demon King and Sarah were staring each other down.
“You think you can interrogate me? Do you even have what it takes?”
The Little Demon King put his hands on his hips and lifted his chin, trying to look down on everyone through his nostrils.
“Thud…”
Was Sarah going to put up with this arrogant fool? She immediately swung her staff and gave him a solid whack on the head.
Just the right amount of force: enough to leave him dazed, not enough to hurt his brain.
“Y-you dare…”
Luxiu froze for a moment, then immediately started flailing and baring his teeth.
