“If I remember right, today’s the release date for Super God Domain, isn’t it?” Mo Bai scrolled through his phone. The news about Super God Domain was on the screen.
“Looks like I’ll have to hurry.” Mo Bai pulled on his faded clothes and took his credit card from under his pillow.
Since he’d been reborn four years into the past, he wouldn’t pass up a single chance to grow stronger.
With a year of experience playing the game, Mo Bai knew about quite a few special opportunities.
He knew that in the early days after the game launched, there was an incredible opportunity right within reach.
It was the most important piece in his plan to grow stronger.
“I remember there’s a Super God Corporation store nearby, right?” Mo Bai stepped out of his rented room and headed for the nearest Super God Corporation store.
When he arrived at the Super God Corporation store, he found a long line already stretching out in front of it.
“Looks like I might not make it in time for launch,” Mo Bai said with a wry smile and a shake of his head.
By the time he got his hands on a headset, it would probably already be past twelve.
But Super God Domain was launching at twelve.
“Mo Bai! What are you doing here?” A clear, melodious voice rang out.
Mo Bai looked toward the voice. A pretty young woman was standing there.
She had delicate features and long, cascading hair. Her skin was as smooth as jade, and her beautiful black eyes were clear as still water. Her slender waist accentuated her figure, and every frown and smile carried an air of elegance.
“Ouyang Xue?!” Mo Bai exclaimed in surprise.
He hadn’t seen her since he’d left school. Back then, she’d been the girl who pursued him.
“Mo Bai, I never thought we’d meet again!” Ouyang Xue said, delighted.
She liked Mo Bai so much that she was completely head over heels for him.
If Mo Bai hadn’t vanished after graduation,
and if her family hadn’t cut off every lead she had, she would’ve gone looking for him again and kept pursuing him.
“What brings you here?” Mo Bai asked curiously.
He didn’t feel that strongly about Ouyang Xue. Otherwise, he would’ve accepted her advances long ago.
Ouyang Xue wasn’t just the little princess of the Ouyang Family; she’d also held the top spot on their school’s beauty ranking for years.
And yet, even someone as charming as Ouyang Xue had never sparked his interest.
To him, she was just a pretty, well-connected woman who brought trouble.
“My family’s company works with Super God Corporation, so I’m here to discuss a few things with them,” Ouyang Xue said, batting her lovely eyes.
“Are you here to buy a headset?”
“Why don’t I help you pick one out?”
“You’d be getting Ouyang Xue’s personal service, you know?” she teased.
“No need. I’ll just wait in line like everyone else,” Mo Bai said, waving a hand.
He knew exactly what Ouyang Xue was like.
If he went with her to pick out a headset, she’d take the chance to ask for his contact information.
His goal in this life was to become the strongest person in the world. If Ouyang Xue got attached to him, she’d drag him into a whole lot of trouble.
No way.
“Is that any way to treat an old classmate?”
“You’re breaking my heart. Sob, sob,” Ouyang Xue said, covering her face and pretending to cry.
Her fake acting couldn’t fool Mo Bai for a second.
Still, it caught the attention of the people around them.
The onlookers, unaware of what was going on, turned to look at the two of them.
“All right, stop crying. I’ll go with you, okay?” Mo Bai said helplessly.
If he didn’t agree, Ouyang Xue would keep pretending to cry.
And then his reputation would be ruined.
For all he knew, tomorrow’s papers would be reporting that he’d dumped XXX.
“Then let’s go.” Ouyang Xue lowered her hands, her face breaking into a smile.
