12. That’s Just Too Embarrassing (Beauti

“Gods are monsters who’ve cast aside part of their humanity—cold-blooded executioners and deceitful schemers. Remember that.”

Nolan glanced up at the Obelisk of the Stars. She didn’t know whether the notary was watching some corner of Iseran, but she spoke with absolute seriousness.

Zinora froze for a moment, remembering the love confession from their first meeting, when Nolan had proudly declared herself a god. She’d never imagined that a girl even more beautiful than herself would capture her heart.

Blushing, the elven princess took the cool, silver-haired girl’s hand and laced their fingers together. Teasingly, she said, “And what about you, my god (beloved)?”

“That’s right.”

Nolan sighed and held out her other hand.

How were they supposed to find the apartment with nothing but a key to Room 516?

They’d traveled through the night and kept going until now. They were more than ready to stuff themselves with a huge meal, then crawl into a soft bed and sleep.

Nolan and Zinora wandered around the sprawling campus for ages. In the end, a kind upperclasswoman passing by noticed the two suspicious-looking girls. After asking what was going on, she kindly led the two refugee-like freshmen through the Crystal Garden to the girls’ dorm by the lake on the south side of campus.

The scenery around the apartment was lovely, and students from all sorts of departments passed by now and then, curiously eyeing the two beautiful girls who looked like beggars.

Zinora didn’t care about any of that. She shoved the door open and collapsed in the living room. Her beautiful court dress had been left in tatters during the assassination attempt, and her whole body ached. She was so exhausted she couldn’t bear to get up again.

For a noble princess of the Sun Court, it had been an utterly miserable day. The only reason she hadn’t wailed for her parents was that she’d been scared stiff.

The little two-story apartment was warm and comfortable, with a faint fragrance lingering in the air. It seemed someone had already lived here before them.

Compared to the other freshmen, the two of them were practically penniless. They’d brought nothing but themselves—not a single piece of luggage.

Nolan let out a long breath too, then took off her cloak and leather armor, ready to enjoy a bath for the first time in ages.

This trip to school had been a complete mess. A lovely, fragrant noble girl had ended up looking like a dirt-covered adventurer, and she was practically growing lice!

A few pieces of fashionable lace lingerie, rarely seen on lesser planes, hung carelessly in the bathroom. They were sexy, daring, and generously sized—a clear sign of their owner’s broad-mindedness and impressive lower half.

Years of martial training and military discipline had given Second Joestar a slender, well-proportioned body, but her still-developing measurements weren’t quite up to the task of filling out these popular bras and panties.

That was when our Chaos Goddess, our Beautiful Goddess-King, finally remembered something very important.

She was a man!

In every sense of the word—both before the wager was made and now, under the influence of her perverted father’s wishes.

She might be a monster who’d cast aside her humanity, a cold-blooded executioner and a deceitful schemer, but she was still a man without a dick, as pretty as a flower!

Living with several girls day in and day out, she was bound to see things she shouldn’t and touch things she shouldn’t—especially with a beautiful young girl like Zinora around…

Second Joestar looked at the silver-haired beauty in the mirror. Since she’d watched herself grow up, every change in this lovely body was familiar to her, so it was hard to feel any strange attraction to it. But seeing other girls might be a different story.

Believe it or not, she was practically a blank slate in that department—even Instructor Kama couldn’t compete.

After all, strength and innocence don’t have to go hand in hand.

As a proper gentleman and a top-tier figure who’d made waves in the Divine Court, Nolan swallowed, imagined the happy days ahead, and felt her pretty face grow hotter and hotter.

That’d be so em(ba)rrass(ingly) wonderful!

Miss Nolan was sincerely grateful to the absent-minded duchess when another familiar voice suddenly came from the living room.

“Hi, everyone! We’re roommates from today on, so I hope we can all get along…”

It was probably another freshman arriving. But then Zinora screamed, and Nolan rushed out at once, without even stopping to get dressed.

“Ah!”

Zinora and another girl screamed in the living room, pointing at each other with their eyes wide as saucers.

“You!?”

“Whoa! What are you two doing here!?”

Standing in the doorway was the vagrant who’d knocked Zinora over—the thief!

The girl spun around to run, but Nolan raised an eyebrow, pounced, and pinned her to the floor.

“Let’s see you get away this time!”

Zinora slammed the door shut in a fury. Then they looked at the four or five big trunks by the entrance—all the thief’s luggage. Nothing about them suggested she was as poor as she’d pretended to be.

“Well, well. You had a way out and didn’t take it. Instead, you walked right into hell.”

The girl’s arms were pinned behind her back, and she yelped in pain as she apologized over and over.

“I-I’m sorry! I just wanted to experience student life at Saint Lensa! Who knew… who knew we’d run into each other like this…”

Nolan rolled her eyes, fished a crumpled letter out of the girl’s clothes, and said irritably, “Are you stupid or something? If you’re going to impersonate someone, at least use your head.”

They’d both registered under the name Nolan Joestar, and even the complicated family name they’d left out in the middle was exactly the same. Of course the system had put them together after registration!

It wouldn’t be long before the staff noticed someone had registered twice and started checking their identities all over again.

Nolan didn’t sense any malice from the other girl, so she let go.

“You can leave. Don’t make me do it myself.”

“Huh? No, please!”

The girl looked ready to cry and clung to Nolan’s smooth, bare thigh. “P-please, kind and adorable miss, let me stay here! I can pay you for your student ID. Just for one year—I’ll give it back after a year. I’m really rich!”

Zinora blinked. That voice really did sound more and more familiar.

As soon as she finished speaking, the girl really did pull a money pouch from her belt and shake it out. A pile of glittering coins spilled onto the floor.

They weren’t gold coins issued by any duchy in Iseran. They were star diamonds, currency used throughout the higher planes, clear and sparkling like jewels.

Even one of them was worth a fortune!

There were at least seventy or eighty of them. By a rough estimate, that was equal to ten years of income for a lord of the Prime Plane—enough to buy two or three lesser life-planes the size of Iseran!

The old duke could spend his entire life earning less than that. Even the Elven Empress’s treasury in the Sun Court couldn’t cough up such a huge sum at a moment’s notice.

Zinora and Nolan were both stunned. Even the elven princess, who didn’t know much about money, knew the basics.

Where had this little thief gotten so much money!?

“I mean it! I’m not lying this time. You can have all of it!”

Nolan picked up one of the coins, her expression complicated. “Where did you get all these star diamonds?”

“What’s it to you? I earned them myself!”

The girl mumbled and gave a huff.

She’d earned them herself?

Nolan was even more curious. If the girl could casually toss out a fortune like this, just how deep were her pockets?

The Soul Spirit flowing through her wasn’t weak, but it was nowhere near enough to match the income of a plane lord. Could she be the flesh-and-blood avatar of some god, too?

When a rich girl like this went to such lengths to hide her identity, dress like a beggar, and buy someone else’s identity to enroll, it was only natural that people would be curious.

“Then why not use your real name?”

The girl pulled her shabby little hat down low, as if she didn’t want anyone to see her real face.

“I can’t! They’d find out who I am right away…”
