Yuzi glanced at Sisha, then at Su Zhaoyu, hopped off her chair, and plopped straight onto Lu Feng’s lap.

“Good girl,” Lu Feng cooed, lovingly ruffling Yuzi’s ears.

“Night-night,” Yuzi mumbled, burying her face into his chest. Her voice was soft and muffled.

“Alright, alright—sleep tight,” Lu Feng murmured, letting her snuggle against him as he held her close.

So this cat was the real rival all along.

Sisha and Su Zhaoyu both stared at Yuzi.

They’d heard cuteness rarely beats allure—but did Lu Feng prefer the younger type?

Maybe they should team up? Their eyes met again, sudden and sharp.

“You’re usually swamped. What brings you here today?” Lu Feng asked casually, stroking the cat.

To him, Su Zhaoyu clearly looked like a top executive at a major corporation—always busy.

“Something came up recently,” Su Zhaoyu replied.

She’d been sizing up Lu Feng and the clinic, mentally picking a suitable parting gift.

Just then, her gaze drifted toward the back room. Her narrow eyes slightly narrowed.

A big dog… wait—a wolf demon trying to slip out the window?

Sensing a cold stare locked onto him, the gatekeeper dog named “Hallelujah” mechanically turned his head—and broke into a cold sweat.

Demon Emperor… Why is *she* here?!

Trapped in the clinic and mistaken for a husky by Lu Feng, Hallelujah had endured lunchtime humiliation: a bare bone dangled just to tease him.

At least put *some* meat on it… He swallowed his pride, played the dog to the end, and choked down the bone.

Now, feigning sleep on the floor, seeing Lu Feng gone and the cat demon absent—he knew his chance had come.

If not now, when?! Screw “Hallelujah”! I’m the mighty Wolf King—not some clinic doctor’s pet dog!

But… umm…

Hallelujah forced a stiff smile, swept dust from the windowsill with his paw, and gently shut the window.

“Today’s wind feels… restless.”

“Is this your dog?” Su Zhaoyu asked Lu Feng with a smile.

“Ah, yeah. Wandered in last night,” Lu Feng chuckled. “Pretty well-behaved.”

“Last night?” Su Zhaoyu’s eyes half-lidded. Amusement flickered in her gaze toward the wolf demon.

Hallelujah broke into another cold sweat…

He no longer dared think Lu Feng ordinary. Someone who wielded an Eighth Realm Dragon Demon Sealing Diagram, a Seventh Tier Magical Girl artifact, kept a near-Sixth Realm cat demon as a pet…

And chatted casually with the Demon Emperor?

That meant Lu Feng stood at least on her level.

If he laid a paw on Lu Feng, Su Zhaoyu would show zero mercy…

“A dog like this seems to need something,” Su Zhaoyu smiled.

Perfect timing—the wolf demon handed her a gift idea.

She produced a crimson collar and matching leash from her sleeve.

“I came unprepared. Would this be an acceptable gift?”

A demon-restraining collar she carried—effortlessly subdued any demon below the Eighth Realm.

*Just a pet collar and leash?* Lu Feng thought simply.

“Thanks. Honestly, if this husky isn’t leashed, I’d be in trouble,” Lu Feng said.

*One husky matches three tigers; three huskies sink an aircraft carrier.* He didn’t have endless furniture to spare.

“Come here,” Su Zhaoyu beckoned to the “husky” on the floor.

Hallelujah shuddered but obeyed, stiff-legged, and sat respectfully before her.

In a flash, the collar snapped shut. The leash clicked into place.

“Try running or resisting—you’re dead,” Su Zhaoyu hissed, yanking the leash low.

Restraining energy surged through the collar. Hallelujah nodded frantically.

Watching her, Lu Feng paused.

Wait—why so skilled with pets? Why carry leash and collar *on her*?

Could she… have a domineering, sadistic streak? A true queen type?!

“Um… do your subordinates often call you ‘Your Majesty’?” Lu Feng leaned in, voice hushed and probing.

“They do,” Su Zhaoyu replied.

So she’d been playing these games with multiple subordinates…

*Kinda envious of having a mature, gorgeous boss like that… Wait—no! That clashes with harmonious society values.*

Lu Feng tensed.

As a self-styled psychology expert, he felt duty-bound to correct this warped mindset.

“Lately… have your subordinates been restless? Plotting rebellion?”

*So the God of Medicine already knows.* Su Zhaoyu’s pupils tightened.

Rebellion *was* stirring in the demon clans—restless whispers rising.

“Are high-ranking officials leading the dissent?” Lu Feng pressed, catching her flicker of surprise. Bullseye.

Like that Eighth Realm bear demon—a top-tier figure, second only to her as Demon Emperor. Su Zhaoyu gave a faint nod.

“Exactly,” Lu Feng said, tapping the table. “The cause lies within *you*.”

“Within me?” Confusion crossed her face.

“Brutality. Torture. Using tools to break bodies—these aren’t traits of a true leader.”

“But without harsh punishment, I lose authority,” Su Zhaoyu countered.

*“Harsh punishment”? Calling it that… yikes.*

Lu Feng frowned.

“A leader shouldn’t rule through fear. Push too hard, and resentment piles up.”

“Then what *should* I do?”

Su Zhaoyu had never doubted herself. She never claimed to be “good.” As sovereign, life and death bowed to her will.

Torture was routine. His words left her unmoored.

A faint smile touched Lu Feng’s lips. *Now’s my moment.*

“A leader needs compassion. Those methods bring temporary gratification—but long-term, they’re a ticking bomb.”

“In the end, it’s *you*. Truly powerful? Truly wise? You wouldn’t need cruelty to vent stress.” His tone softened.

“It’s the pressure. The frustration. That’s driving you. But… I have something that might help.”

Time for the routine sales pitch.
