How much impact can a single song have?
A lot of people would probably say, not much. At most, it makes a little money.
But the song Su Wei sang did far more than that.
It pushed Qinge to the top of the global software rankings. Its worldwide user count shot straight to 400 million. The ad departments of the Huaxia branch and the Great Britain branch were counting money till their hands went numb.
And over in Great Britain, especially in England, people watched Su Wei’s video and started organizing group trips to look for the legendary Scarborough Fair. Some historians even dug through old records and confirmed that Scarborough Fair had really existed, and that it had been established by the Vikings back in the day. Across all of Great Britain, a new musical renaissance was rising.
Inside Buckingham Palace, the reigning queen’s only youngest granddaughter was holding a tablet, replaying the video again and again. A dreamy look appeared in her eyes.
“Kelly!!”
A middle-aged white maid heard the princess call and slowly made her way over. “Your Highness.”
“I want this person to sing for me.”
The maid didn’t even glance at the tablet. She stayed where she was, eyes forward. “Your Highness, as far as I know, this person is the chairman of Jiucang Group. She also has countless ties to the royal family of Grand Zhou. Our British royal family doesn’t have that kind of authority.”
“Didn’t you say before that this Qinge app was registered here in Great Britain?”
“That may be true, but the company’s offices are in Zhaoge, Grand Zhou.”
“Zhaoge...”
The little princess repeated the place name. Then she hopped down from her chair, lifted her skirt, and ran out the door all the way to the room where the Queen of Great Britain was.
“Grandmother!!”
“Oh, my little darling~”
Elizabeth adored this granddaughter. She pulled the princess into her arms at once and looked at her with a gentle smile.
“What happened?”
“Grandmother! I want to go study in Zhaoge!”
Elizabeth was greatly surprised. “No matter what I said before, you refused to go. And now you’re asking to go on your own?”
The little princess looked a bit shy. “I just... changed my mind.”
At that moment, the maid named Kelly arrived before the queen at an unhurried pace and gave a meticulous bow. Elizabeth smiled at her.
“Kelly, do you know why Audrey agreed to go to Zhaoge?”
“Because of a video.”
“A video?”
Elizabeth looked puzzled. The maid took out the tablet from behind her and opened the featured video on Qinge’s homepage. A beautiful woman appeared on the screen.
A few minutes later, Elizabeth wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
“What a beautiful song. Scarborough Fair... I vaguely remember it. When my father was still alive, he told me stories about the Vikings, the Celts, and Scarborough Fair. Just now, when I heard this song, I actually felt as if my father were standing right in front of me.”
“Your Majesty, please take care. Your health can’t bear too much grief.”
Elizabeth accepted the handkerchief the maid handed over and forced a smile. “I’m old now. It’s easy to grow sentimental. But Audrey, what does this song have to do with your wanting to go to Zhaoge?”
“Because this person is at Zhaoge Royal Academy, so I want to study there too.”
“Alright, then go.”
Elizabeth nodded in satisfaction.

The song had exploded in popularity. Besides getting thirty million likes and over a million comments on Qinge, Su Wei herself had gone viral too.
Major media outlets all sent interview requests to Jiucang Group, hoping to interview Su Wei. But Su Wei had them all rejected directly, and she told the legal department to keep watch. Whoever dared to leech off the hype would definitely be seeing a lawsuit.
Zhou Xi, however, thought this was a perfect chance to build Su Wei into a “celebrity entrepreneur.”
After some discussion, Su Wei came up with a compromise.
On her Twitter, she added: Singer of Scarborough Fair.
And on the Qinge app, her account was verified as: Chairman of Jiucang Group.
The moment those two verifications appeared, not only did the industry explode, Su Wei’s name also instantly blew up online. No one had expected that the recently unstoppable chairman of Jiucang Group would be this young and this beautiful.
But Su Wei still went about her days exactly as she pleased. If it was a major course, she went. If not, she didn’t. If there were public lectures she found interesting, she would drag Zhou Xi along with her. No matter what, improving her artistic cultivation was always a good thing.
But maybe because she had become too famous, nearly every teacher liked calling on Su Wei to answer questions and share her thoughts. It got so bad that there were classes Su Wei didn’t even want to attend anymore.
Still, the one thing Su Wei was thankful for was that the students at the academy stayed pretty calm. Sure, people were always coming up to chat with her for no reason, but that had happened even before she got famous. The only difference was that before, it had mostly been men. Now it was both men and women.
And after Su Wei became famous, the princeling circles at Zhaoge Academy had started noticing her too.
“Inviting me to a club? What club?”
In the cafeteria, Su Wei looked at the girl in front of her with a puzzled expression. This girl was the youngest daughter of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Her name was Xuelun, and she counted as nobility too.
At Zhaoge Royal Academy, you could see nobles from nearly every member state of the Grand Zhou Federal Empire. But there were simply too many of them, so no one really cared anymore. Besides, these nobles kept a very low profile. You could hardly tell from appearances alone.
And beyond those nobles, the descendants of major corporations and financial conglomerates from around the world could also be found at this academy.
None of that had anything to do with Su Wei before. Even though she was beautiful, her status hadn’t been enough to catch their eye.
Now, though, they were taking the initiative to invite Su Wei into this “club.”
And naturally, this club was extremely useful. After all, connections were money. Knowing these people would absolutely bring huge benefits in the future.
But—
“I refuse.”
“Huh?!”
Xuelun froze on the spot. “Do you even know what you just turned down? This club doesn’t just have noble heirs from every country. It also has descendants of major financial families. Rothschild, Rockefeller, Morgan—even people from the Medicine King Manor are in it. Once you join our club, you’re stepping into the circle of successful people. Do you understand? The little money you make right now isn’t even enough to carry our shoes! I only wanted to bring you in because that song you sang sounded nice! Don’t be so shameless when someone’s showing you favor!”
Zhou Xi had been sitting beside Su Wei with her head lowered, playing on her phone.
The moment she heard Xuelun’s words, a trace of fury flashed through her eyes. She shot to her feet with a snap, and under everyone’s shocked gaze, she slapped Xuelun straight across the face.
Zhou Xi might usually look like a shut-in otaku girl, but her physical abilities were outstanding among people her age.
That slap sent Xuelun sprawling to the floor.
Xuelun clutched the spot where she’d been hit. Her face was a mix of rage and fear. Her hair had fallen loose, half-covering her face. Looking half-crazed, she started cursing at Zhou Xi in a mix of Ya language, French, and Luxembourgish.
“You actually dared to hit me! Do you know who I am?! My father is the Grand Duke of Luxembourg! What country are you from?! I’m telling you, this is a diplomatic incident!”
Everyone in the cafeteria turned to look. Some kept urging Xuelun to leave. Others criticized Zhou Xi for hitting someone.
But under Zhou Xi’s sharp gaze, the people criticizing her all shivered and shut their mouths.
Zhou Xi looked at Xuelun coldly, her eyes full of contempt.
“What the hell are you, you parasite living off your ancestors’ leftovers? And you dare mock Su Wei? Trash like you isn’t even worthy of carrying Su Wei’s shoes. You disgusting, filthy maggot.”
“You... you bitch!!”
Xuelun scrambled to her feet in fury and lunged at Zhou Xi, claws out.
