Sitting in the car, Grandpa kept asking Su Wei one thing after another. From daily life to school, then her roommates, classmates, and teachers. By the end of the ride, Su Wei felt like she'd practically given a full summary of her life lately.

After they got home, there wasn't any lavish feast waiting. Even so, Su Wei ate with unusual comfort. The only uncomfortable part was Su Xiu, who kept circling around and fishing for information.

"Su Wei, those clothes you're wearing look pretty expensive."

Su Wei ignored him. A moment later, he spoke again.

"Studying at that school must cost a lot, right?"

"That necklace is a bit much too. Don't tell me those are real diamonds?"

Even Grandpa, Su Dingyuan, could only shake his head helplessly. He got up and left, going off to drink tea and read. The moment Su Dingyuan walked away, Su Xiu's face reddened slightly as he scooted closer.

"Uh... Sis..."

That one "Sis" gave Su Wei goosebumps all over. She rubbed her arm and shifted farther away from him.

"Talk like a normal person. If you've got something to say, say it."

"Well, um, my dear, beautiful, gentle, understanding big sister!"

Su Xiu had completely thrown shame out the window. He kept tossing one flattering word after another at Su Wei, making her feel uncomfortable all over. Just as she was about to blow up, he finally got to the point.

"About the money I gave you last time... how much is left...?"

"I knew it."

Su Wei stood up, walked to the doorway, picked up her small bag, took out the bank card, and slapped it onto the table.

"Here. Every cent is still there."

"You didn't spend any?" Su Xiu looked extremely embarrassed. "Then how about this? Just give me fifty thousand. You can keep the rest."

Su Wei curled her lip.

"Oh, spare me. What do you need the money for? Got a girlfriend in college or something?"

"No. I'm planning to start a business."

"Start a business?"

Su Wei froze for a moment.

"What are you trying to do?"

"My major is financial management, but I met a group of IT big shots at school. They're planning to make a mobile app, and I want to invest in the operations side."

"Invest in operations?"

Su Wei was speechless.

"If you throw fifty thousand into the internet industry, it won't even make a splash. Is the app finished yet? Let me see it."

"Not yet. They've got the concept, and they're ready to start. But we're short on early-stage funding, so a lot of things just can't happen."

"Hmm..."

Su Wei nodded.

"Go work on it first. If it turns out well, I can invest too."

"You? Invest?"

Su Xiu casually slipped the card into his pocket.

"Where would you even get money? Even if you didn't spend a cent of what Grandpa gave you, it still wouldn't be much."

Su Wei smiled calmly.

"Maybe not right now. But in the near future, I'm going to become a billionaire."

"A billionaire? Yeah, keep dreaming."

Obviously, Su Xiu didn't believe her. But Su Wei wasn't annoyed in the slightest. She simply got up and headed back to her room.

"Alright. Your big sister just sat through a nine-hour flight. I'm exhausted, so I can't be bothered arguing with you. Just don't come crying and begging me to invest in your app later."

"Don't worry! Even if I starve to death or jump off this place, I still won't ask you to invest!"

Su Xiu answered with great pride. Sure, there were areas where he couldn't compare to Su Wei, but no matter what, he'd gotten into Peking University on his own ability. He had at least that much pride.

Su Wei returned to her room. Looking at the familiar furnishings, she showed a knowing smile. She changed into her pajamas, slipped under the covers, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

"Ring ring ring~"

Not long after she fell asleep, the phone rang and woke her up. Half-asleep, Su Wei fumbled for her phone. Without even checking who it was, she answered directly.

"Hello?"

"Hello! Weiwei, are you there yet?"

"I'm here."

"Then wanna come out and hang out? I'm heading to your place right now!"

"Huh?"

Su Wei pulled the phone in front of her face and glanced at the caller ID. It was actually "Wu Sansan."

"Um... I..."

"Alright! I'm leaving now. Hurry up and get ready. I'll be there in about fifteen minutes."

"Fine."

Actually, Su Wei had wanted to refuse. After all, she wasn't familiar with this Wu Sansan at all. Even though the girl often called her like a phone pest, Su Wei had never actually met this "Wu Sansan" in person. She didn't even know the other girl's real name.

Taking advantage of the time, Su Wei quickly opened Chuanyin Space and started scrolling through it, hoping to find a photo of the two of them together or something. But her past self seemed to have been an extremely aloof person. The account had basically zero posts, and there wasn't a single useful clue.

Su Wei completely gave up and thought to herself,

'Who cares what she's called? I'll just stay the same and adapt to whatever comes.'

She said fifteen minutes, but in reality, there was a knock at the door in less than eight. Su Wei got up to open it, but before she could, Su Xiu beat her to it. The moment he saw "Wu Sansan" outside, he shouted toward Su Wei's room,

"Su Wei! Wu Shanshan is here for you!"

Nice!

Just as she was about to open her door, Su Wei heard that and her eyes lit up at once. She couldn't help praising him inwardly. Su Xiu had finally done one decent thing.

She opened the door and walked out. The moment she looked at the girl standing by the entrance, Su Wei froze.

This girl named Wu Shanshan looked a lot like a female celebrity Su Wei had especially liked in her previous life.

Back then, Su Wei hadn't chased idols or bought merch, but she had watched almost every movie and drama that goddess starred in. Even when she knew it was trash, she'd still grit her teeth and watch it. She never expected that in this life, her best friend would look so much like her former goddess.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

Wu Shanshan looked at Su Wei in confusion.

"Is there something on my face?"

"No."

Su Wei immediately piled on a smile and quickly shook her head. As she walked to the door and put on her shoes, she asked,

"Have you decided where we're going?"

"Let's go watch a movie. I already bought the tickets. A new film came out today. Didn't you always like Clement Dampier before? Let's go watch his movie today."

What Dampier? Fruit leather?

Su Wei followed Wu Shanshan out with a head full of question marks. Along the way, Wu Shanshan chattered nonstop. Since she attended a film academy, she'd heard all kinds of industry gossip and inside stories from her teachers and classmates. Now she dumped it all onto Su Wei in one go.

Su Wei was completely lost, because she didn't recognize a single celebrity Wu Shanshan mentioned.

The movie they watched was an artsy romance. Still, the film industry in this world was surprisingly good. The script, editing, BGM, and acting all made it a pretty solid movie. By the end, when the male lead died for the female lead, it was cliché, but it still wrung out plenty of tears.

Everything should have been beautiful, but with a friend studying acting beside you, everything changed.

"Damn, was that supporting actor hired for eighty a day? That's way too unprofessional. If you get stabbed, who covers the wound first? Shouldn't your body show pain first? What, did that stab cut your nerves off?"

"I'm seriously speechless at this body double. Couldn't they find someone with a similar figure? Her belly's sticking out."

"This shot is something else. Was the editor a pig? What's the point of inserting an empty cutaway here? Are they playing abstract art with me?"

"This actress is so awkward. When the male lead died, her performance was way too surface-level. I couldn't find even a trace of grief in her eyes."

At last, Su Wei couldn't take it anymore. She shot Wu Shanshan a furious glare and hissed through gritted teeth,

"If you don't want the two of us getting beaten up later, then shut up and watch the movie properly!"
