In the snug cabin of the Ferris wheel, the two sat close together.

Lin Mo held Leng Shuang’s hand tightly—so tightly a faint trace of pain flickered in his fingers.

Oddly, after boarding, Lin Mo’s courage grew. Maybe in this narrow space rising slowly into the sky, a quiet longing and resolve for her own feelings stirred within her.

Leng Shuang turned his head slightly, gazing absently out the window, yet inwardly sensing the person beside him drawing nearer.

Gradually, a gentle warmth spread along his arm.

It was a new sensation—one that sent a shiver through Leng Shuang, like a duckling splashing playfully in chilly water.

He didn’t dislike it. In fact, he rather liked Lin Mo’s closeness.

“Um… Leng Shuang, there’s something I want to tell you.”

Her voice sounded right beside him. Unlike their pre-college-entrance-exam study sessions, this closeness existed in a tiny world meant only for two—where even each other’s breath was audible.

“Mm.”

Leng Shuang turned back, meeting her eyes directly. A subtle tension coiled inside him.

Up close, Lin Mo gazed at his flawless, handsome face and those captivating eyes shimmering with shyness and a faint, watery glaze. She felt herself sinking deeper, her mind growing hazy.

Yet through their clasped hands, she felt his nervousness.

Right then, she knew—she had to show initiative and resolve.

“Leng Shuang, I like you. No… I’ve liked you for a long time. Since middle school. From the very first moment I saw you—when my heart first fluttered with young love, in every dream where you appeared—I’ve always liked you.”

“You might not know… among your many admirers, I felt so insignificant. Some were stunning, others had perfect figures, some came from prominent families. Compared to them, I felt tiny. So tiny I only dared watch you from afar…”

“Until that day I saw you being harassed by scumbags. Only then did I find the courage to step forward. If I hadn’t… I’d have regretted it forever. I’m grateful—I’m so grateful I connected with you then, even if you saw me at my most flustered…”

“With so many chasing you, I pushed myself—to do things I disliked—all to become someone worthy of your notice. And thankfully… I did.”

Lin Mo pressed her lips together. Confessing everything before the one she adored was deeply shy-making.

But it had to be said. Her feelings never changed since middle school; countless dream encounters had left her restless night after night.

Leng Shuang listened, nodding softly. His bright eyes lowered, lashes trembling faintly—as if he’d truly stepped into her heart.

A warm, full feeling bloomed in his chest.

“As a woman, I know empty promises are like deception—playing tricks on someone’s heart.”

“But my heart is sincere. Tempered through years of dreams—from middle school till now—nothing can stop me from making this promise… and keeping it.”

“What I feel isn’t youthful curiosity. It’s real. I like you. I want to marry you.”

Lin Mo lifted his hands, pressing them gently against her chest.

Beneath his palms, he felt her heart fluttering rapidly against the soft swell of her developing frame.

She held his gaze—unwavering, utterly sincere.

“I believe you.”

Leng Shuang nodded, a sweet smile curving his lips.

“Thank you for trusting me.”

Moved, Lin Mo slowly leaned in.

Her delicate face filled his vision.

He took a quiet breath and met her halfway, eyelids lowering gently.

Closer… lips parting… meeting.

A jolt—tingling, electric.

Feeling his slight tremor, Lin Mo’s affection swelled.

She released his hands, shifted her grip, and with trembling arms encircled his waist. Leaning in with gentle strength, she drew him into her embrace.

Leng Shuang suppressed the unfamiliar flutter in his chest. No resistance. Like a lamb willingly stepping into a trap, he let himself be captured and savored by her.

Closer… deeper… exploring…

Lin Mo moved with instinct. Inexperienced, yet innate—as if the moment their lips touched, she simply knew.

She drifted deeper into the moment.

Every dream fantasy was finally real.

His lips—rosy, tender as cotton candy.

Eyes closed, she savored the sensation.

Especially when tasting that sweet nectar within—it deepened her intoxication.

No wine was needed. Only the person who haunted her dreams.

To hold him close, kiss with eyes shut, feel every breath—that was enough.

Time blurred. Only when she felt his faint struggle did Lin Mo snap back, loosening her hold.

“Huff… huff…”

They breathed heavily, flushed faces close, hot breaths mingling. In their eyes, a mist of deepening affection shimmered.

Seeing the hazy moisture in Leng Shuang’s captivating gaze, Lin Mo’s heart raced hotter. She swallowed dryly and leaned in again.

He’d barely caught his breath—but offered no resistance, simply closing his eyes once more.

Lips met. Entwined.

A faint sting of clashing teeth… yet the sweet, lingering intoxication remained.

*Knock, knock, knock!*

The sound jolted them back to earth.

Blinking awake, they saw a staff member peering through the cabin door.

“We’ve arrived, guests!”

The staffer sighed inwardly at the unexpected PDA. Especially seeing Leng Shuang’s stunning face—a pang of envy struck her. *Why couldn’t I be the one beside him?*

“Sorry! We’ll get off right away!”

Flustered and blushing, they hurried out, heads bowed, vanishing around a corner near the Ferris wheel.

“Ugh… kids these days. Zero self-control. Took the whole ride to get lost in each other… Another dose of lovey-dovey stuff.”

She shook her head. Though… if *she’d* been the one with a guy like Leng Shuang? Yeah, she’d probably want more than just kissing up there too.
