Honestly, An Han thought An Kexin and Su Peng actually made a pretty good match.

Sure, there was a noticeable gap in their looks—but An Kexin’s personality really was as Su Peng described: gentle, shy, introverted… undeniably cute.

“How’d you end up in this aisle?”

An Kexin glanced around. The entire section was packed with women’s products.

An Han guiltily looked away. “N-nothing. Power went out, so I was just… wandering.”

He had no idea how he’d drifted here. Maybe some part of him, sensing his future self, was trying to prep early.

But he wasn’t ready to accept it yet.

*Once I’ve got cash, I’m grabbing anti-estrogen meds!*

He studied An Kexin. She wasn’t conventionally pretty—slightly plump, even—but the faint blush on her cheeks gave her a soft, endearing charm that stirred a protective urge in guys.

Did he look like that to Su Peng?

Most of his blushing wasn’t shyness—it was pure embarrassment—but to outsiders, the difference probably didn’t show.

“Where’s Su Peng? Haven’t seen him all afternoon,” An Han switched topics, dodging talk about his own… femininity.

An Kexin shook her head. “No clue. After he stood me up this morning, I haven’t messaged him.”

“You’re not mad?”

“Of course not!” She shook her head fast. “He loves gaming—that’s normal. I just… can’t join him.”

“So you *do* like him?” An Han’s mind sparked a new plan.

If Su Peng wouldn’t let him be *his* wingman… why not be An Kexin’s?

Same goal: get them together.

*Su Peng’ll be so grateful.*

“No way~!” An Kexin’s face flushed crimson as she shook her head. “We’re just… best friends. Yeah. *Best friends*.”

“*Best friends*?” An Han shot her a skeptical look.

“Guy friend” wasn’t exactly a safe label.

“Yeah! What’s wrong with that?” An Kexin glared back. “Just really good friends.”

An Han figured she was crushing on Su Peng but too shy to admit it—hiding behind “best friends.”

“What a shame.”

“Why’s it a shame? Since when are *you* playing matchmaker?”

An Han just gave an awkward smile. Too embarrassed surrounded by sanitary pads, he slowly edged toward the aisle exit.

“Did Su Peng only say I was… weird?”

He needed to know how Su Peng described him.

He didn’t care much about the “mission” anymore—but if he’d made Su Peng uncomfortable, he could still fix it. Save the friendship.

An Kexin studied his face carefully. “You sure you want to hear it?”

“Go on.”

“You won’t get mad?”

An Han shrugged. “When have you ever seen me mad?”

“He said… you might want to be a woman.”

“WHAT?! SU PENG!” An Han exploded. “I bought him barbecue! Gamed with him! *This* is what he tells you?!”

“Don’t be mad… he was joking…”

The words stung—but seeing An Kexin’s startled face, he forced himself calm.

*Not the first time someone’s said that.*

“Anything else?”

“He also said… he thinks you like *him*.”

“I’d like *anyone* before him!”

An Kexin had believed that too—until now. An Han’s features seemed softer lately, his gestures subtly more feminine…

“…Maybe it’s possible,” she muttered under her breath.

Honestly, with a wig on, An Han might outshine her—a real girl.

An Han missed the whisper. Face darkening, he pressed on: “And?”

“He… said you’d look really good in women’s clothes.”

*Obviously. He’s already seen me in one.*

As she spoke, An Kexin’s gaze lingered on An Han—finally settling on the subtle curve beneath his jacket.

“Aren’t you hot wearing that outside?”

“I’m fine. Bit of a cold,” An Han replied smoothly.

Same old reliable excuse.

“Mm…” An Kexin frowned, then gently poked the soft swell on his chest.

ZAP.

An Han jolted back half a step, hands flying to cover himself. Face burning, he stared at her in shock.

An Kexin flinched too. “Y-you… what’s wrong?” she stammered.

“I—you—” An Han choked on words.

*She knows. SHE KNOWS!*

Every muscle locked tight. Panic screamed in his skull.

*What do I do?!*

After a frozen second, he dropped his trembling hands, turned away, and forced calm into his voice: “Y-you startled me… poking like that.”

“I was just curious if you were hiding something,” An Kexin murmured, glancing at her finger. The texture felt soft… oddly familiar.

And his reaction? Pure “girl-getting-harassed” energy.

“My wallet’s in the inner pocket,” An Han blurted.

But the guilty tone only deepened her suspicion. She watched his averted eyes, curiosity sharpening.

“The dorm probably has power again…”

[Option 1: Confess everything. Reward: Girlfriend

Option 2: Leave now, never mention it. Reward: Custom chest binder

Option 3: Dodge and bluff. Reward: +1 attribute point]

*The System’s popping up NOW?!*

*No way I’m confessing—am I crazy?! …Though that reward’s kinda tempting.*

An Han froze, glancing at An Kexin. *Is the “girlfriend”… her?*

But this path was risky. What if confessing backfired? Besides, An Kexin wasn’t his type—chest too small… If this were Option 3? He’d confess instantly.

“An Han?” An Kexin tilted her head. “You zoned out.”

“Just tired. Haven’t slept well,” he muttered.

*Leaving. A custom binder’s actually useful.*

*Way better than some random “attract-men” stat.*

“I’m heading back to the dorm for AC,” An Han said, turning sharply and walking away.
