This typhoon wasn't all that fierce. At most, it was just a day of heavy wind and rain. Even so, An Han had no plans to go eat at the cafeteria.
The place was near the school, but because of the typhoon, the barbecue didn't get delivered to the dorm until six in the evening, a whole hour later.
The folding table from the corner had already been moved to the middle of the room. An Han sat on a plastic chair, knees pressed tightly together, holding a greasy grilled chicken leg and tearing off little bites of meat.
A moment later, he suddenly realized something. He looked up at Su Peng across from him, froze for a few seconds, then ripped off over half the meat in one bite and chewed with puffed-up cheeks.
Too girly! Why has even the way I eat become elegant and cute?!
"Su Peng, transfer me sixty later." An Han still had meat in his mouth, so his words came out muffled. "We're splitting it. This barbecue cost over a hundred."
"I thought you were treating me."
"You're so rich. I'm already being nice by not fleecing you."
Su Peng didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "How am I rich?"
"Your computer. That thing costs twenty grand! Mine was only three thousand."
An Han's family wasn't exactly poor, but in his parents' eyes, computers were just for gaming, so there was no way they'd buy him a really good laptop.
Of course, he really had bought his laptop just to make gaming more convenient in college.
"Fine. I'll send it."
An Han's hands were covered in grease, so he didn't check his phone. He grabbed another skewer and deliberately put on a macho act, taking big, rough bites of meat.
Back then, he never cared whether his manners looked elegant or crude. But now, all he could do was try his best to lean toward crude.
"Beer." Su Peng opened a bottle for him. "Don't drink too much."
Drinking and eating meat with An Han clearly felt different from hanging out with his other friends.
Su Peng felt a little restrained. For some reason, he was also worried An Han might get drunk. If it were anyone else, he wouldn't care how much they drank or whether they got wasted.
"Relax. I can hold my liquor."
An Han drained a whole bottle in just a few gulps. His face didn't change at all, and he casually opened another one.
It was honestly hard for him to get drunk on beer.
Come to think of it, why hasn't there been any favorability notification?
Could it be because Su Peng hated drinking? But at class gatherings these past two years, Su Peng drank plenty every single time.
Maybe because An Han had an ulterior motive, this barbecue felt strangely awkward for him. He was usually talkative, but now he had no idea how to start a conversation.
But Su Peng spoke first. "How did things go with Long Xing?"
He smiled and teased, "Already conquered him?"
"No way! I'm only interested in pretty girls!" An Han slammed the table as he argued back. "And I already threw away the girl clothes! I'm never crossdressing again!"
"Threw them away?"
"In the trash."
"No wonder I heard people from the other dorms saying there was a set of women's clothes in the garbage..."
An Han curled his lip without caring. "Doesn't matter. They don't know it's mine anyway."
"As for Bro Long..." He lowered his head and let out a miserable sigh. "He already found out it was me. Good thing he went home for National Day. Otherwise I wouldn't even have the face to see him."
"How'd he find out?"
"No idea. He suddenly added me on WeChat with his phone number. If I'd known, I would've made an alt."
Mainly because he barely used WeChat in the first place, so it hadn't crossed his mind at all.
An Han frowned in distress, his head tilting slightly to the side without thinking. "Su Peng, what do you think I should do now? Bro Long said what's done is done, but it's gonna be so awkward when I see him later..."
Su Peng smiled and handed him a skewer. "He'll be awkward seeing you too."
"True."
After all, falling for your roommate in girl clothes wasn't exactly something that sounded good if it got out.
"If you two have that kind of tacit understanding, then when the time comes, just never mention it. Act like it never happened."
An Han didn't know whether he and Long Xing had that kind of unspoken understanding. But at the very least, Chen Junjie, that bastard who loved stirring up trouble, would definitely do his best to make him die of social embarrassment.
"As for Chen Junjie..."
Su Peng knew about the conflict between them too, so he nodded. "I'll make him keep his mouth shut."
"Beat him up?" An Han's eyes lit up.
"I'll just talk to him."
Chen Junjie would probably give Su Peng some face. And even if he didn't, he'd still have to give Long Xing some face.
If that happened, then the fallout from the first mission could finally be considered settled.
"Come, come, come, cheers!" An Han's mood instantly brightened. He raised his bottle and clinked it against Su Peng's.
This is great! I never have to keep wearing girl clothes again!
The two of them quickly polished off an entire case of beer. Since they'd drunk too fast, even though An Han had been very confident in his tolerance, he still ended up red-faced.
Su Peng was in even worse shape. The moment he finished drinking, his head dropped onto the table with a thunk, his breathing heavy.
"Why're you bowing to me~"
An Han never missed a chance to take advantage.
He pushed himself up with the table and stood. His steps were a little unsteady. He shook his head hard, walked straight to the computer, paused the video that hadn't finished playing yet, then went to the balcony to wash his face.
After washing up, his head felt even clearer.
"And then I'll take super good care of drunk Su Peng~ When he wakes up and sees how nice I was to him, his favorability's definitely gonna go way up~"
He happily plotted out the next scene. Even his tone lifted with delight, making his voice sound crisp and tender, almost like a girl's.
After rinsing the towel again, An Han returned to the room. He lightly patted Su Peng on the shoulder and said softly, "Time to sleep. Don't stay slumped over here."
I'm being this gentle. His favorability's definitely gonna shoot up, right?
"Mmh..."
"Come on, lift your head. I'll wipe your face." An Han reminded him with a bright smile, "I'll wipe your face, help you get your clothes off, and tuck you in. Tomorrow, you'd better remember how good I was to you~"
"Mmh?"
Su Peng groggily lifted his head and looked at An Han's face, now right in front of him.
"Here, face wipe."
Under the push of alcohol, he reached out and pinched An Han's cheek.
Soft and tender. It somehow felt even better than last time.
"Quit messing around. Wipe your face and go to sleep." An Han laughed and slapped his hand away, then covered his face with the towel and rubbed hard a few times. "There. Now take off your shoes and go sleep!"
An Han pulled Su Peng's arm over his own shoulder and tried hard to help him up, only to realize this guy was a lot heavier than he'd expected.
"You need to lose weight."
"Mm." Su Peng casually rested a hand on his waist.
His body was burning hot. Even the heat of his palm seeped through An Han's clothes and reached his skin.
Swaying as they walked, An Han struggled step by step to support him all the way to the bed. Just as he was about to lay him down, Su Peng suddenly tipped over, dragging An Han down with him onto the bed.
An Han bared his teeth in pain and was just about to curse, but then he suddenly remembered this was all for Su Peng's favorability.
Calm down!
"Alright, hurry up and sleep."
He propped up his upper body and tried to pry off the hand around his waist.
But he failed. At the same time, Su Peng's snoring sounded by his ear.
"Hey! Hello? At least let go of me before you fall asleep!"
"Su Peng! Damn you!"
[Su Peng's Favorability +5]
"I forgive you!"
