Turns out I still have to go to class...

An Han wore a denim jacket and tucked the leave slip for first period against his chest. He walked down the school road with a dead-inside look on his face.

It's so damn hot!

He'd already picked the lightest jacket he had, but under the blazing sun, sweat still kept streaming down from his temples without pause.

He glanced uneasily at his chest. That slight rise was almost invisible under the jacket, but he still looked around in worry, feeling guilty for no reason, hunching his shoulders and curling in on himself out of instinct.

It was like he'd done something shameful. Obviously no one would pay attention to him, yet the pressure in his head still made him extra cautious.

"It's fine. Even the counselor didn't notice."

"My promised eight-pack is gone. Now it's turned into two pecs."

Class itself wasn't the worst part. What scared him more was daily life in the dorm. Sooner or later, his roommates would notice those increasingly developed, sturdy "pecs" of his.

Skipping class this morning hadn't just been about avoiding people. He'd also planned to go out and buy some long strips of cloth, then bind his chest like those cross-dressing heroines in period dramas. But all his plans had gone straight down the drain.

"That counselor seriously has something wrong with his head!"

Even though he knew it was just the counselor being responsible, An Han still couldn't stop cursing under his breath.

[Task completed

Reward obtained: Moe-Type Body Language Trait

Moe-Type Body Language Trait: Every move you make gives off an adorable vibe]

The task he'd bluffed his way through had been easier than he'd expected. Or maybe Ren Chi hadn't planned to make things too hard for him in the first place.

After all, with that favorability trait, any stranger's first impression of him would be pretty good.

He didn't care much about the reward. This task had felt more like a signpost, helping him figure out which choice to make. The reward itself wasn't that important.

Besides, he couldn't even understand it...

What did "every move you make gives off an adorable vibe" even mean?

An Han muttered to himself. Right then, the bell for the end of first period rang. When he looked up again, he realized he'd already reached the teaching building.

The campus, which had been fairly quiet just moments ago, suddenly flooded with students. An Han turned sideways to avoid the people rushing past him, then let out another miserable sigh.

Sure enough, wearing a jacket in the middle of summer was way too eye-catching. But if he didn't wear it, there was no way to explain his chest.

As those students passed by, they would always turn their heads to glance at him. That doubled the pressure on someone who already had no confidence. He could only lower his head and hurry toward the classroom.

Once he got there, it'd be fine.

"An Han? Why didn't you come to class earlier?"

He hadn't gone far before someone blocked his path.

"Su Peng? Where are you headed?"

"Gotta hurry to the cafeteria and grab breakfast." Su Peng stood in front of him, looked him up and down, and laughed. "Why are you still wearing a jacket? Aren't you hot?"

"Not hot at all!"

An Han wiped the sweat from his forehead. His cheeks were flushed red from the heat, and he was panting, but his mouth was still stubborn as ever.

"What the hell is wrong with you now?"

"I caught a cold. If I dress warmer, my stomach won't hurt."

"No, I mean you..."

Su Peng's gaze dropped, landing on the arms An Han was holding tightly across his chest. Then it moved to his thighs, pressed closely together.

Already feeling guilty, An Han didn't dare meet Su Peng's eyes. He glanced away instead. His legs rubbed lightly against each other in unease, and even his body swayed gently with it. The whole posture looked especially soft, almost graceful.

Su Peng scratched his head, baffled. "Do you have ADHD?"

He'd wanted to bluntly ask why An Han's movements had turned so girly overnight, but he worried being too direct would be bad for his health...

More specifically, he'd probably get punched.

"Huh?" An Han froze for a second, then followed Su Peng's gaze down to his own legs.

The moment he lowered his head, all those little movements on his body stiffened too. Very quickly, he straightened up and returned to his usual casual stance, then said as if nothing had happened, "I'm sick. I just don't feel great."

He suddenly felt like he understood that task reward.

"I'm going to class."

He slipped past Su Peng with a dark expression and walked into the classroom in quick little steps.

After handing the leave slip to the teacher at the podium, An Han dropped into the seat beside Long Xing. Then he flopped onto the desk, pressing his cheek against the cool tabletop and letting out a long breath.

Long Xing was busy playing a mobile game and didn't have time for him. After catching his breath for a bit, An Han sat back up and looked down at his thighs, which had pressed tightly together the moment he sat down, and at his calves, placed neatly to one side in an elegant slant.

He'd done all that completely unconsciously!

That's way too girly!

An Han cursed inwardly and deliberately spread his legs apart. But when he checked again two minutes later, his legs had somehow drifted back together again, close and neat.

They said if a man always kept his legs closed, it'd overheat the mag and mess with the quality of the bullets...

"Xiao Han, did you get leave for first period or not?" Long Xing had just finished a match and immediately started claiming credit. "I really did try my best to ask for leave for you, okay? Too bad the counselor wouldn't listen. It's not that your Bro Long wasn't trying!"

It would've been better if he hadn't brought it up. The second An Han heard this, his stomach filled with anger all over again.

He put his hands on his hips and glared at Long Xing as he snapped, "You told the counselor I had a forty-degree fever! You scared him so badly he ran straight to the dorm to look for me, okay? If you're gonna make up an excuse, at least make it a normal one!"

Even though An Han's tone was awful, his puffed-up cheeks, flushed face, and wronged expression made Long Xing feel guilty on instinct.

"I just thought I should make it sound more serious at the time..."

He turned his head away with a face full of apology, but his eyes still couldn't help sneaking a few more glances at An Han.

Is my roommate getting cuter and cuter?

Even when he was angry, he looked soft and adorable, like a little girl... and somehow it didn't feel out of place at all.

Long Xing suddenly felt that the girl he'd fallen in love with at first sight didn't seem as cute as An Han.

"Whatever. I can't be bothered arguing with you. Anyway, I've already dealt with it." An Han had no mood to say much more to Long Xing. His attention was still fixed on those weird little unconscious movements of his.

Too scary.

An Han couldn't see himself from a third-person view, so he had no idea what exactly his movements looked like. But judging from Long Xing's attitude, he didn't seem disgusted at all.

If anything, he seemed even nicer to him?

Wasn't that even scarier... What if I end up turning my roommate gay?

Second period started.

The teacher called roll again at the front to stop anyone from answering attendance in first period and then sneaking back to the dorm during break. But everyone usually took major courses pretty seriously, and this teacher was especially strict, so for once, the whole class was actually present.

"Are you going home for National Day in a couple days?" Long Xing asked quietly from the side.

"No."

"Then you'll be the only one in the dorm."

Even better. That way, he could finally find somewhere to throw away the women's clothes, instead of living in constant fear every day, always feeling like no hiding place was safe enough.
