015. An Han Is Unbearably Cute

Based on An Han’s current understanding of the system, task difficulty wasn’t judged by the requirements—but by the rewards.

Besides, a transformation wand? Like Ultraman’s device? Seemed utterly useless to him.

No monsters existed in this world. No need for him to fight.

Maybe another kind? Like the one from *Cardcaptor Sakura*?

An Han mentally scrolled through every wand-like item he could recall…

Could it possibly be a magical girl’s transformation wand? Like that certain twin-tailed anime?

“What’s wrong?” Su Peng asked. Seeing An Han staring fixedly at him, he assumed spilled snacks had landed on his clothes and began checking his sleeves and pants.

“N-nothing.”

An Han shook his head.

Honestly, unless the wand could turn stones to gold, it held little value. He didn’t even know magic.

But choosing random attribute points meant relying on Su Peng.

Cross-dressing for a date with his roommate—under his friend’s watchful eyes? Clearly the harder option. Was the system deliberately lowering his shame threshold?

“What help can you even offer?” An Han’s face visibly flushed. He seriously questioned his grasp of the system.

Logically, rejecting Su Peng’s help should’ve been the simplest choice.

Su Peng chuckled, falling into step beside him. “You haven’t even told me what to do.”

“Cross-dressing.”

An Han suppressed the rising shame. Heat flushed his cheeks rosy-red, oddly alluring.

“Ohhh~ So you *do* have a cross-dressing fetish?”

“Not at all! It was an accident!” he protested fiercely. “I’m a perfectly normal, healthy person!”

Su Peng didn’t press further. After a pause, he shrugged helplessly. “Most things? Fine. Cross-dressing? Total blind spot.”

“Huh?”

“But if you’re dressing up… you’ll need to cover your Adam’s apple, right?”

An Han instinctively touched his throat and nodded thoughtfully.

Though the system had softened his gaunt frame, his Adam’s apple remained prominent. If Long Xing noticed, suspicion would follow.

“Guess I need to buy a scarf or something,” he muttered.

[Task completed. +1 Appearance attribute. +5 Su Peng Favorability.]

*How did favorability even increase?!*

He shoved the doubt aside. Bigger issues loomed.

“What else?”

“Leg hair?”

True. Black stockings hid it somewhat in dim light—but his summer-thin pair lacked coverage. Su Peng’s help was crucial to avoid slips.

An Han hooked Su Peng’s neck, dragging him toward the familiar hotel. “Come on! Be my consultant!”

Su Peng had already seen him in drag on the balcony. With his shame threshold reset, fear was gone.

“So why cross-dress?”

“To meet Brother Long.”

Mentioning it made his freshly adjusted threshold wobble again.

An Han’s calm shattered.

Cross-dressing as his roommate’s first love? Absurd beyond words.

“Long Xing?”

“Last time… the balcony incident… I ran into Brother Long off-campus afterward, and…” An Han covered his face. “He fell for me at first sight.”

Su Peng fell silent, watching crimson creep to An Han’s ears.

“He even took secret photos. Later realized the girl he liked looked just like me.”

“And with Chen Junjie fanning the flames, Brother Long started suspecting *I* was the girl.”

An Han felt his life had spiraled into surreal comedy.

“If he finds out it’s me… I’m doomed~” He wailed, then suddenly gripped Su Peng’s hand, eyes blazing. “Can you beat Brother Long?”

Su Peng leaned back instinctively, flustered by that hopeful gaze. “Absolutely not.”

“Disciple~ Hit the gym harder. Protect your master,” An Han teased, face still flushed, patting Su Peng’s shoulder with faux-authority.

“You should worry about fooling Long Xing.”

“Yeah…”

His spirit deflated. “Buy a scarf first. Tie it around my neck.”

“And thicker stockings.”

“A hat and mask? To hide your face,” Su Peng suggested.

An Han shook his head. “Covering my face would seem suspicious.”

The wig altered his features enough. Nighttime helped. Long Xing stared at those photos daily without catching on—tonight would be no different.

At the small hotel, An Han noticed the owner’s odd glance. He ignored it, leading Su Peng inside.

“You shop. I’ll change.” Calmly spoken—he’d already been seen once. “Meet back here after.”

“Fine.” Su Peng scratched his head, still baffled. *Since when did I help someone cross-dress to deceive others?*

As he turned to leave, An Han grabbed his wrist. Those big, dark eyes stared up—pleading, vulnerable. Su Peng’s protectiveness surged. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell.”

“I meant… your grilled cold noodles…”

Su Peng glanced down. He’d nearly forgotten why he left campus.

“They’re spilled anyway. Waste not, right?” An Han took them with a grin. “I’m hungry. I don’t mind.”

“I don’t mind either.”

“You’re heading out anyway. Grab another.”

An Han carried the noodles to the tiny table, waving dismissively. “Go on, go!”

Su Peng almost laughed. *So shamelessly pushy.*

“What if I leak your secret?”

“I was wrong! Sorry!” An Han bowed deeply, offering the noodles with both hands. “Big bro, please eat.”

“What’s wrong with you.” Su Peng tapped his forehead. “Eat it. I’ll be back in thirty.”

An Han sat straight, gazing up obediently. “Okay!”

*Why did I ever think he was just neurotic? He’s… kinda cute now?*

Su Peng shook his head and left.
