"Let go! I’m not going out! I can’t show my face like this!"
My hands clung desperately to the doorframe, but I couldn’t pull back the half of my body already dragged outside. The Fox Demon tried forcing me forward, but between the smooth white stockings and my death grip on the frame, my feet just scraped helplessly across the floor.
"You’ll go out eventually! Use this chance to toughen up!" the Fox Demon roared inside my skull, the vibration prickling my scalp. If she hadn’t burned energy dressing me earlier, she’d have hauled me out completely—not just my legs.
"No! Absolutely not! This look is fine *at home*! I can’t possibly go out in this dress! If I bump into someone I know, I… I… Just *no*!"
I anchored myself with every ounce of strength. No way would I let the Fox Demon drag me past this threshold. Cross-dressing? Fine for home trials. Outside? I’d die of shame. Spotted by acquaintances? I’d become the freak everyone gossiped about.
No. Unacceptable.
"Fine. Since you refuse, we won’t go," the Fox Demon said.
My legs instantly went limp. Losing support, I collapsed into a W-sit on the floor. Wait… How could I even *do* this pose? And why did it feel… completely natural?
"Really?"
I didn’t relax an inch. Deep down, I still didn’t trust this fox one bit.
"Of course… *it’s a lie!*"
A flicker of blue sparked at my chest. BOOM! A blast of air erupted before me. Unharmed but shoved backward by the shockwave, I watched in horror as the doorframe—the very sanctuary I’d clung to—shattered into splinters.
"Ah! My door!"
Mouth agape, heart aching, I stared at the wreckage.
Damn it! You fox… just wait. I *will* avenge my door!
"Hmph—Wasting precious demonic energy on this? Unfortunate. But listen, human: *This Queen* never changes her mind. I’ll blast you out if I must!"
The blue spark reappeared, pulsing with eerie light. Flickering faster… faster… ready to detonate.
"You…! …Okay, okay! I’ll go! Please don’t blow anything up—the apartment’s *rented*!"
Resigned, I pushed myself up. After checking for dust, I slipped on the women’s sandals the Fox Demon bought and stepped outside, trembling with every step.
"Act natural. You look stiff."
"How… am I *supposed* to act natural?"
A breeze brushed past. My skirt fluttered slightly—I instantly clamped both hands over the hem, terrified of exposure. Legs pressed tight together, eyes darting nervously… I probably looked exactly like a girl frantically hunting for a bathroom.
"Hand your body to *this Queen* for a bit. Adapt. Or of course people will stare."
"Just… don’t do anything weird with my body!"
"Relax. You’re still useful. *This Queen* won’t break you *that* quickly~"
"…"
That familiar detachment washed over me. Control slipped away—but this time, I didn’t resist.
True to form, she transformed my stiffness into grace. Hands released the hem; a serene, goddess-like smile bloomed. She strode forward with light, confident steps.
But with each step… a tiny whirlwind swirled beneath my skirt. That chilly draft—was it real?
"Those people… Why are they all staring? Am I… weird…?"
Through the Fox Demon’s heightened senses, I felt scorching gazes locked on my back—especially my legs. My skin crawled.
"Relaaax~ People *always* glance twice at a beauty," she purred, pride lacing her tone. If *I* were under those stares? I’d freeze solid.
"Look at her—so pretty! Hair’s a bit short though. Long black straight would be perfect."
"Pfft! Short hair’s the vibe! Love that chic, refreshing energy. Rare find."
"Tsk… Those legs? *Chef’s kiss.* Perfect curve, not too thin—way better than stick-figure legs. Total leg-admirer heaven."
"Wonder what’s under that skirt… what color?"
Hearing it all, my face burned like a stove. If I controlled my body, I’d have buried my head instantly.
"In *my* era," the Fox Demon mused, "these mortals would’ve been drained dry already. Alas… not a speck of spiritual energy in this shell. And they dare call themselves ‘lords of all creation’? Pathetic."
