"Log in, enter the password, add contact. I remember Yushan’s QQ number is XXXXXXXXX. Done!"

I fired up the ancient computer I hadn’t touched in ages, logged into QQ, added his account with a note, and waited for a reply.

"So this is what they call a computer?" the Fox Demon mused, carefully stroking the bulky tower before me, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Connects people across thousands of miles, just like a phone. I never thought even a poor human like you could own such a treasure."

"You know quite a bit," I muttered.

"Of course," she replied proudly. "This one has been studying this world’s knowledge diligently."

"Oh? How much exactly?"

"Anything you know, this one knows. But… plainly speaking? An idiot. Last in exams, rock-bottom EQ—a total otaku."

She ticked off my flaws on her fingers. True, I sucked at school and socializing—but what did that have to do with being an otaku?!

"You owe an apology to otakus nationwide!"

"...Apologize to every otaku in the country!" I nearly leaped up to duel her—when the computer chimed. He’d replied instantly. Obviously glued to his screen.

Guitar Boy: "Excuse me, are you Su Su’s younger cousin?"

A message popped up the second the friend request went through, ending with a shy emoticon: (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Nine Tailed Fox: "Yes! Are you Brother Yushan?"

I typed it with a knowing smile.

Mwahaha—never knew an old guy pretending to be a girl online could feel this thrilling.

Guitar Boy: "How old are you?"

Nine Tailed Fox: "Sixteen."

Guitar Boy: "Wow, just one year younger than me!"

Nine Tailed Fox: "So you’re my big brother, then~"

Hahaha, bet he’s grinning like a fool over there.

Guitar Boy: "Oh, how embarrassing. (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)"

Nine Tailed Fox: "No need to be shy! My brother says you’re really kind. I’ve been wanting to meet you~"

"What are you two doing?" the Fox Demon cut in abruptly.

"Just ask him out! Isn’t that what you wanted? What’s wrong?"

"At this pace? Forever. Is a man worth this much fuss? Leave it to this one."

She seized control, clicked voice call—and he accepted instantly.

"Big brother~ I’ve always wanted to meet you. Let’s see each other, okay~?"

Her voice through me: ethereal, honeyed. My knees went weak. A flush rose. *Wait—I’m reacting to my own voice?!* Sinful! …Hold on.

Oh. *Right.* Some woman trying to sell herself once messaged me with that exact line. Only missing a price tag.

"Sis! Talking like that screams ‘selling yourself’! Anyone with half a brain gets it—you’ll get reported!" I screamed inwardly. She just smirked.

"Meet? Absolutely! Shidai Square this Saturday—sound good?"

His voice crackled through, dripping with eagerness.

Pfft—WHAT?!

I nearly spat blood.

"Haha, settled then~"

She licked her lips with a sly smile. Through the mic, I almost heard his nosebleed gush.

Afterward, she chatted with Brother Yushan—sweet, teasing, utterly unreal coming from my rough self. In minutes, she had him eating out of her hand. A simp beyond simps.

"What did you *do*? Yushan’s not brainless!"

"Oh? Just layered the Fox Clan’s unique enchanting energy into my voice. Didn’t expect it to transmit… but *you* reacted too. Men, huh~"

My face burned. I coughed sharply to deflect.

"Enchanting art? What is it?"

I kinda guessed—like her mind-control trick the other day.

"Explaining’s pointless," she said lightly. "Fox Clan enchantment has two forms. One controls the mind—but if the other’s spiritual energy is muddled, they resist. The second… amplifies existing feelings. Arousal-focused. Our innate trump card. No one resists it."

So Yushan *had* feelings for me—and she magnified them. Made him lose himself. Wait…

Hold on. Yushan has *feelings* for me?! Damn (;`O´) WHAT KIND OF FEELINGS?!
