Chapter 27: The Continent Actually Exist

“What immense magical power… What on earth is up there in the sky?”

Powerful experts across nations sensed my terrifying aura. Merely its pressure radiated overwhelming dread. They knew this was an existence not to be provoked. Silently, all reached the same conclusion: proceed cautiously, assess the threat first.

None linked me to the Dreadwyrm.

Thus, I soared unimpeded through the heavens, meeting not a single obstacle.

“What is this? Why’s my clothes freezing? The weather changed way too fast!”

“Puppy, why’ve you turned into an ice cube?!!!”

Wherever I passed, frost spread rapidly. People and creatures froze solid in my wake. My presence sent shockwaves through the realm—but I paid it no mind.

Two hours later, I reached my destination: a colossal wall of light stretching from earth to sky, seamless and unbroken. It cleaved the continent in two, sealing both realms apart.

A heretical cult once devoted to me had gifted a tome detailing this barrier’s origin. Ten thousand years ago, Apocalypse—one of the Elder Gods who sealed me—and the Sword God Jueluo clashed here in an epic battle. Jueluo’s Dimensional Slash split the land; the severed space collapsed entirely. This realm is but a fragment. Beyond lies another world, vastly larger.

Truth be told, I’d sensed it even while imprisoned. For millennia, fewer and fewer races came to investigate—only sparse, uniform kinds. The Elven Clan, angelic races, ghost clans… none appeared. After my release, I sensed no trace of their magic. This barrier had truly severed the world.

“Let me test it.” I pressed my dragon claw against the light wall.

Sizzle…

A sharp tearing sensation shot up my limb. I yanked it back, regarding the barrier with a hint of helplessness.

“Space has fully collapsed. Breaking through won’t be easy.”

Had a human touched it, their hand would’ve shattered instantly.

Only one artifact could mend this rift: the Spatial Sovereign Pearl. It commands space itself.

I once possessed it—but gifted it to my apostle, Oka of the Beast Clan, long ago. I wonder if they still guard it.

My reasons for breaking this wall? First, to find my followers. Second, to hunt the surviving Elder Gods—and make them answer for their betrayal.

“Hmph… Once this sovereign retrieves the Spatial Sovereign Pearl, I shall return.” I spread my vast azure wings and soared homeward.

“Miss Aifei, long time no see! You’ve grown even more radiant these past few days.”

Elsewhere, Aifei returned home after shopping. Before her stood a handsome blond swordsman holding red roses—none other than Hero Cherthesis.

“You flatter me, Champion,” Aifei replied coolly. “If nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”

To Sradon Kingdom’s people, Hero Cherthesis and Knight-Captain Aifei were a perfect match. Not to her. Chelseas held no appeal—his swordsmanship couldn’t surpass hers; he only matched her through raw magic. Her destined one must tame her. He fell short. And she despised men who fawned without cause.

“Wait!” Chelseas stepped gently in her path, offering the bouquet. “At least accept these. Miss Aifei… have I offended you?”

“Fine. You may go.” Aifei took the flowers perfunctorily, forcing a stiff smile.

“Oh—and good news.”

“Go on…”

“His Majesty just approved our marriage,” Chelseas said with earnest warmth. “A reward for my victory over the Dreadwyrm.”
