“Mhm, that’s fine. Head over there and give this form to the magic portrait artist. Someone will make a copy for you,” the woman, still looking slightly confused herself, said to me flatly.

“Okay.”

I took the form and walked in the direction she pointed. Elle and the beastfolk followed on their own.

“Are you here for a portrait? Please give me the form.”

When I arrived at a colorful gallery, a poised and beautiful young girl smiled at me gently. That smile gave me a strange sense of warmth, and a little surprise too.

Even I, a Dreadwyrm, had to admit it. This girl possessed nearly flawless looks and bearing. Her features were delicate and immaculate. Her skin was fair and soft. Her figure was slender and lovely. That pure white dress looked especially beautiful on her. She was so enchanting that she felt almost like a fairy.

This new human society really was impressive. Beautiful girls were everywhere if you looked around a little. Back in my era, a beauty of this level might not appear even once in ten thousand. And someone like Elle, with that figure and that abnormal side to her, was even rarer.

“Yes.” Though my heart stirred a little, I still handed the form to the girl.

“Sit over there.” The girl smiled, adjusted her artist’s cap, and sat back down in her original seat. A purple magic pen then condensed in her hand.

“Mhm.” I sat where she pointed. It also happened to be directly facing her.

“Quick Sketch Magic—Human Form Complete.”

As she spoke, she began to move the brush in her hand. Her gaze shifted back and forth between me and the pen.

What a marvelous kind of magic.

Even I, who knew magic well, couldn’t help admiring this new magic of the modern world. In ancient times, this kind of quick-sketch magic would definitely have become famous. There had been far too many races back then, after all.

“All done.”

After a mere few dozen seconds, the girl stopped her hand and passed the drawing paper to me.

It was practically identical. The only difference from the real person was a bit of color. That was what I thought as I looked at the portrait. This magic was worth collecting.

“Sell your magic to me. I’ll teach you other magic too. Spatial magic, time magic, even charm magic that can make others fall for you instantly. I can teach you all of it.”

I didn’t like beating around the bush, so I spoke to the girl directly. Hearing that, she showed a thoroughly puzzled expression.

“Um... sir, I don’t know if you’re joking, but scrolls for this kind of magic are very cheap,” the girl said.

“I want you to teach me.” I directly grabbed the girl’s hand and spoke in a commanding tone. Magic left a deeper impression when taught hand in hand.

Perhaps I had already forgotten that I was no longer the Dreadwyrm who once ruled over all things.

“Th-this... I...” Faced with this scene, the girl was at a loss. It was her first time having her hand touched by a man, so she suddenly had no idea what to do.

“Um... Young Master Ling Xie, I can teach magic of this level too. You don’t need to trouble her.”

Seeing this, Elle came to my side in clear displeasure and tugged at my sleeve. Right now, she was feeling slightly jealous.

She knew this kind of emotion shouldn’t exist. After all, ours was a master-servant relationship, not that of lovers. But she simply had no way to stop it.

“I understand.”

Seeing Elle like this, I clearly understood what she was thinking. So I let go of the girl’s hand and walked toward the door.

“Ah...” Even after her hand was released, the girl still stood there in a daze, just watching me walk out.

“Young Master Ling Xie, I’m very sorry. I didn’t mean—”

“You don’t need to explain. I understand.”

Elle wanted to say something, knowing she had gone a little too far, but I cut her off before she could finish.

So she stared at me a little blankly.

“If you ever feel jealous or upset like this again, you can tell me as much as you want. I’ll avoid certain things based on how you feel. Your feelings matter most.”

I gently patted her head and kept walking forward.

A gentle Elder Dragon Lord is amazing too.

That was the strong thought in Elle’s heart right now. Ever since she first met me, she had thought I was a serious and handsome person. This side of me was something she had never seen before.

Wasn’t this exactly the kind of me she liked?

So, with a bright smile on her face, she hurried after me.
