Chapter 3: The Journey Begins

“Indeed, the real deal. Not bad at all.” After securing the gem, I’d already verified its authenticity and channeled a trace of magic into it.

Zzzzt~~~

Azure magic erupted from the orb in countless threads, swiftly wrapping my colossal form. A searing heat spread through my body, intensifying by the second.

To my surprise, my body began shrinking—smaller and smaller. My viewpoint dropped until it leveled with the girl before me.

Dragon scales, claws, tail, and hide vanished in a flash; human features slowly emerged. I had to admit—the Transmogrification Orb was truly remarkable. Even a Dreadwyrm’s form couldn’t resist its power.

My magic faded too, but I didn’t resist. I knew the orb was absorbing it—a fixed ritual for the contract.

Finally, I stood in a human body.

“Amazing!!” The girl flusteredly turned her face away, a blush blooming on her cheeks. An adult male form was still too much for her innocent eyes.

“Is this a human body? Such a strange creature—no natural weapons, teeth so fragile.” I examined myself post-transformation. Overall… underwhelming.

So tiny~~~

But what stunned me most was my little brother—used to be *meters* long… o(╥﹏╥)o

“Elder Dragon Lord, I bought you this spatial ring. It holds human clothing,” Elle said with a blissful smile, placing the ring in my palm.

“Clothes? How troublesome.” I grumbled, gripping the ring. I’d long grown used to running naked—fabric would feel suffocating.

“Can I skip them?” I asked tentatively.

“Absolutely not. Going bare would mark you a pervert,” she replied matter-of-factly.

“Fine. Let’s see…” I muttered, opening the ring. “Though this thing feels cheap—doubt it holds even a patch of dirt.” I pulled out all the garments.

“Ugh, so uncomfortable.” Reluctantly, I dressed.

“Wait—what’s this bag for? And… your name?” I asked, puzzled.

“I hope to receive those… as a special reward ❤, Elder Dragon Lord. My name is Elle. Please call me that,” she said with a lovesick gaze.

“Understood, Elle. I’ll grant reasonable requests. You *are* my benefactor,” I said calmly.

“Won’t you check your reflection? It’s seriously cool!”

“Fine.” In a ghostly blur, I teleported to the riverside and peered into the water.

I let out a faint sigh. Though human “handsomeness” meant little to me, this face… was acceptable.

Artisan-crafted features, a striking crimson mane, long delicate lashes, heterochromatic golden-silver eyes identical to my former self, a gaze sharp as a blade exerting subtle pressure. Overall? Not unpleasant.

“Elder Dragon Lord, where to next? I’ll follow you anywhere,” Elle asked beside me, voice tinged with confusion.

“First: rescue my vassals sealed across the world. Then, find more Transmogrification Orbs. Elle—you’ll guide this one. I’ll form a contract with you shortly.”

“Yes! Please let me serve you however you wish!”

“No. Not a master-servant contract—that draws attention. An equal companion contract,” I corrected firmly.

I don’t fear ants, but their buzzing annoys me. Right now? Peaceful amusement. World domination? Too tedious. Unnecessary.

“…Alright,” Elle replied, a hint of disappointment in her tone.
