"Is that so? Heh..."
Yanyan Lu was briefly amused by Lulu Lu’s reply, then instantly snapped back to her icy demeanor. "My clever little sister," she said, "if you were in my shoes—would you actually believe that excuse?"
"..."
Lulu Lu truly had no words this time. Steeling herself, she put on a cutesy act. "Eh... Ehehe?"
"How old are you, still pulling that cute routine? Do you think you’re still an adorable little loli?" Yanyan shot back sharply, then turned serious. "Lulu. I’m giving you one chance to come clean. Tell me—exactly—what you did this weekend."
"Or else—"
She paused, voice light as a breeze. "My dear sister... tossing those little toys you bought would be such a waste. Since you claim they’re for personal use, you know how they feel, right? I’d be happy to let you... experience them. Again. And again. Until you never want to again."
A chill shot down Lulu’s spine. She shuddered. Yanyan’s tone held zero menace—but the meaning was crystal clear.
*No wonder we’re sisters. This ruthlessness really does run in the family.*
Catching Lulu’s terrified face in the rearview mirror, Yanyan seemed pleased. She spoke earnestly:
"Lulu, I don’t care what you do at home. I don’t care what forbidden yuri activities you and your friend Lily Liu tried. I’m open-minded. You’re not a kid anymore—you understand love and desire. If it brings you joy when you’re lonely? Fine. I won’t judge."
"But when trouble happens? You tell me the truth. No hiding."
Lulu forced her breathing steady. Her mind raced.
Two choices.
Option one: confess. Admit she’d kidnapped Lily and hidden her in the basement.
*Stupid. Obviously stupid.* Telling Yanyan meant unpredictable consequences. Sure, Yanyan had helped her avoid prison during that cleaver incident before—but only because the cost was low. "Only sister" had its price. Would Yanyan risk her career to cover up a crime? Unlikely. Just like Lily never imagined Lulu would kidnap her.
Option two: lie. Admit the steamy weekend with Lily, insist she left safely—and claim total ignorance about her disappearance.
Feasible. Yanyan had already searched the entire villa—even the trash bins outside. But she missed the basement. *Dad’s hidden sanctuary truly is flawless.*
Decision made. No turning back.
Lulu took a deep breath and committed to the lie.
...
Back at the villa.
Tears welling, Lulu wiped her eyes with a pitiful "I’m sorry" expression.
Yanyan, listening, looked utterly torn between laughter and exasperation. "So... you two spent the weekend shamelessly tangled up, and Lily just vanished after leaving that night?"
"Yep, yep!" Lulu chirped. "Big Sister, I swear—I told you everything! I don’t know why she’s missing! Could she... maybe... collapsed from exhaustion on her way home?"
"Impossible. She was likely targeted walking home. This villa district ‘protects privacy’—barely any cameras. Poor girl probably got snatched, mistaken for a rich heiress."
Yanyan tapped Lulu’s forehead—firm but not harsh. "And stop calling me ‘Big Sister’ like that. Your cute act doesn’t work on me."
Lulu stuck out her tongue and fell silent.
Yanyan sighed. "I’ll handle Lily’s parents. They won’t bother you. Focus on school. Next time you want excitement? Call me Saturday."
"Call you?" Lulu blinked.
"Ganju City has several reputable yuri establishments. I know the managers. Their staff will satisfy you far better. Consider this a warning: stop messing with your classmates, Lulu."
Lulu froze. *Wait—my own sister just offered to take her eighth-grade sister to a yuri parlor?! Is this punishment?!*
Before she could process it, Yanyan added calmly: "Also. No leaving home after 6 p.m. Daily check-in calls. Understood?"
"O-okay..." Lulu nodded meekly.
Yanyan gently patted her head twice. "Good girl. Don’t make me involve the school again. This already delayed my research. Next time? I might not hold back physical punishment. Serious warning."
Lulu nodded again—docile as a little rabbit.
"Then I’m off. Goodbye, my dear sister."
And with that, Yanyan Lu walked away.
