Chapter 43: One Against Three

After Yami’s stolen intelligence hit 30—paired with her 140 strength—the damage from her kicks (yes, those beautiful legs) was terrifying. She far outclassed Ou Tao wielding purple-grade gear. In seconds, the priest’s health plummeted to one-third under their assault.

“Pop Flash!”

“Don’t! He still has two swords—he can throw them to cut my path! Feifei, save me!”

“Damn it, my damage is slashed! They’re tanking my Fireball to burst me down!”

Shouting over comms, the trio reeled. For the first time, one person had single-handedly pushed them to desperation.

Bott snapped. He activated his Principle of Heaven Skill—Time Rewind—reverting to his state two seconds prior: no debuffs, full health and mana, charge restored. Then a reverse Flash twisted his trajectory. He spiraled into Ou Tao, launching him airborne.

“Saved!” The knight sighed in relief—only to realize he’d been tricked.

As Ou Tao flew, he’d shifted left a step. The knight assumed Ou Tao failed to dodge his Dash plus spiral Flash. Reality? Ou Tao not only reacted but used that step to steer his knockback precisely toward the priest’s left.

Before impact, Ou Tao plunged his two swords into the ground. Including Yami’s, seven blades stood embedded on the priest’s right. His landing spot sat perfectly opposite—he was triggering Reverse Edge.

“Agh!” Seven soul shocks pierced the priest’s body, streaking toward Ou Tao. Agony like seven consecutive slashes flooded his nerves. Pain jolted his real body; he arched on his recliner, nearly disconnecting.

“F*ck you and your whole family!” the priest snarled. But calculating Ou Tao had no follow-up, he didn’t heal. Instead, he hurled Silence forward. Ou Tao—already battered—was knocked back by the knight’s charge.

*If I ensnare him mid-air… our burst finishes him. I’ll make him pay.*

But as the ensnare orb neared Ou Tao, he not only activated Reverse Edge mid-flight but also popped Flash.

And Flash’d behind the priest. Those seven soul shocks that had struck him now reversed course, screaming back toward him.

How fast were his reflexes? The priest couldn’t believe his eyes.

Blades flew in 0.2 seconds. Yet Ou Tao perfectly timed his second Flash the instant the first damage segment landed.

“I can’t take the second hit!” Professionally trained, the priest popped Flash the moment the shocks pulled back toward him.

“Dodged!” he rejoiced. “See that? Pro-level play, you little—”

*Flash!* Golden light erupted behind him. Ou Tao matched his reflexes—Flash chasing Flash.

“No!” A shrill cry. He still held Purify and a second Flash—enough to save himself. But he lacked Ou Tao’s speed to pop two Flashes within half a second.

The priest’s avatar shattered. His real body jolted upright from the recliner.

Clutching his head, eyes bloodshot, he choked out, “Impossible… How can someone be this strong?!”

That first Flash dodge? He knew he faced a master. The mid-air “seven” interrupting his Purify? Pro-level mastery. The second Flash making Reverse Edge strike twice? Ou Tao surpassed him. But that final Flash—chasing his own—left his mind blank. The gap was too vast to comprehend.

As the priest fell, Ou Tao tossed two potions. They locked down the knight and mage.

Yet neither resisted. The knight hadn’t even popped Purify—they simply quit.

“Retreated?” Ou Tao panted, wiping sweat. “Three pros… The gap’s huge. If they were ordinary players…”

He turned to the villagers. Stunned. What just happened? Thirty-seven seconds. The entire fight—a blur. They saw only golden glows of Principle of Heaven Skills chaining, magical lights dancing wildly. But the result was clear: Ou Tao stood. The three invaders lay dead.

*Thud.* Kai collapsed to his knees, voice trembling. “How…? Those three crushed our village’s defenses in five minutes. This man… defeated them in seconds!”

Truth was, had the knight used Purify, the fight would’ve dragged minutes longer—he was tanky, orange-grade gear and all.

They chose not to waste time or suffer needlessly. The moment Ou Tao Flash’d to chase the priest’s Flash, they understood. Their high-priced expert had been out-predicted. Continuing was futile. Though not killed in-game… Ou Tao had shattered their will.
