“Could you please put me down…? I’m really not into lolis at all.”

“You think this great detective would believe that crap? Stay put and don’t move!”

Xi Xi shot Qiu Li'er a glare, then drifted ghostlike through layer after layer of ceiling, flying toward the top floor.

Qiu Li'er swung her little feet a bit, feeling guilty. This bratty loli was way too scary. She could even turn into a ghost. If she’d known, she wouldn’t have teased her so casually.

They passed floor after floor. Almost no one noticed them. Everyone was focused on reading. Even if someone happened to glance up, they only rubbed their eyes and assumed they were seeing things.

Suddenly, Xi Xi lowered her head and glanced down. “Didn’t expect your two friends to be pretty capable. Hold on tight.”

Qiu Li'er froze. “Huh? Hold on ti— I... wahhhhhhh—”

The view before her instantly blurred. Xi Xi’s magic surged. She shot upward like an arrow loosed from the string, stirring a faint gust as she carried Qiu Li'er toward the distant tip of the tower.

Not far below them, a mass of crimson smoke chased after them, climbing nonstop along the wall. It was like a beast following a scent, giving off a dangerous aura that made people wary.

On the other side, a humanoid shadow slipped out from a crack in the floor, then quickly sank into someone else’s shadow, vanishing without a trace.

“S-slower… I’m so dizzy…”

After flying upward for who knew how long, Qiu Li'er clutched her little head and spoke with stars in her eyes. In her previous life, she’d been such a coward she didn’t even dare ride roller coasters. Being carried through the sky like this was basically killing her.

“You’re already this dizzy? No wonder you could fall off a broom and end up with amnesia.”

Xi Xi shook her head and tightened her grip on Qiu Li'er’s hand.

“Don’t worry. I won’t let the wind blow you away.”

“...Then put me down already.”

The moment she finished speaking, the scene before her changed completely. Qiu Li'er narrowed her eyes and found herself on an open-air platform, bathed in bright sunlight.

So this was the top floor of the library. The very tip of the whole tower.

Qiu Li'er panted lightly, braced herself on her knees, and forced herself to sound calm. “Nice view here.”

“It is.”

Xi Xi still had a tight hold on Qiu Li'er’s wrist. She stared at her and said, “According to your theory, we have to try every single pose from those lewd pictures. I think this place is perfect. No one’s going to bother us.”

Qiu Li'er twitched at the corner of her mouth and said nothing.

She really wasn’t a lolicon. If it weren’t for avoiding getting screwed over in the future, she wouldn’t want to play some stupid lewd-picture roleplay game at all.

Seriously, who the hell taught this bratty loli? Her upbringing was way too messed up. Who lets a kid this young look at lewd pictures without stopping her?

Whoever it was had to be absurdly irresponsible.

Tap, tap, tap.

Footsteps came from behind. Nan Shi walked up from the stairs below, but something about her looked strange. Her dark red eyes were unfathomably deep, like a beast’s, enough to make anyone shiver.

Then Yuenina came up too. She looked much more normal, though for some reason her school uniform was a little dirty, as if it had gotten splashed with bits of mud.

The four girls faced each other once more, locked in a standoff like a movie scene. The wild wind from a thousand meters up whipped at their skirts.

“You’ve got nowhere left to run,” Yuenina said, staring at Xi Xi with a serious expression.

“Yeah, hand over Little Fox already!” Nan Shi chimed in. “With that loli body of yours, you can’t handle her!”

Yuenina smacked Nan Shi hard. “What are you even saying? Little Fox isn’t something that hurts your body!”

Nan Shi looked aggrieved. “But she’s obviously super lewd...”

Faced with the two girls’ hostile approach, Xi Xi let out a cold laugh. “Lewd fox, if you dare run off on your own, I’ll tell Teacher Xi Kefeng all about how you tease lolis!”

Qiu Li'er trembled with rage. “Y-you’re threatening me?”

“Don’t listen to her. Little Fox, come here.” Nan Shi waved at her. “If you don’t come over, we’ll tell Teacher Xi all about how you tease lolis too.”

“Y-you’re threatening me too?!”

Qiu Li'er bit her lower lip, her eyes glistening. “Aren’t we roommates? How... how can you do this to me...”

If she’d known teasing lolis would get reported...

If only she’d known sooner. Too late for regrets. She was full of remorse. Never again.

“Quit joking around. I still have use for this lewd fox. There’s no way I’m handing her over to you!” Xi Xi dragged Qiu Li'er back to the edge of the rooftop. “If either of you takes one more step, I’ll jump off with her and die for love!”

At that moment, they were practically half a step out over empty air. Behind them was a drop of a thousand meters. The raging updraft from below flipped up their hems and short skirts. It made Qiu Li'er’s little butt feel chilly. Luckily, her backpack was weighing things down in the back, or even her tail would’ve puffed up.

Xi Xi was blushing too. The updraft on the rooftop was way stronger than she’d expected. It had completely flipped up her coat, exposing the pure white panties underneath.

But Nan Shi and Yuenina, standing in front of her, couldn’t see any of that. They were still bluffed by Xi Xi’s act of calm, and even thought she looked kind of cool standing there against the wind.

“You? Please. Your tiny body isn’t even enough to get stuck in our Little Fox’s teeth.” Nan Shi crossed her arms and deliberately shook her two big snowballs. “At the very least, you’d need to be as big as me to give Little Fox some warmth.”

Hearing that, Qiu Li'er glanced at her, then looked at the blue-haired loli’s utterly unbreakable steel plate of a chest.

Honestly, it was true. Compared to Xi Xi, she’d much rather bury herself in Nan Shi’s arms until she suffocated.

“Hmph. I don’t talk to big-boobed idiots,” Xi Xi said with disdain.

“What? Say that again?” Nan Shi was shaking with anger, and her big snowballs wobbled along with her.

Seeing this, Yuenina glanced at Qiu Li'er’s equally full chest and sighed as she shook her head. “Little Fox, now you understand, right? Wild lolis out there in the world will never love you. Only we care about your feelings.”

“Exactly,” Nan Shi added. “If you still won’t let go of Little Fox, we’ll expose your identity as Detective C on the magic web!”

“Bleh~ Go ahead.” Xi Xi lifted her little chin, utterly unrestrained. “According to the forum poll results, nearly half the students believe Detective C is a black-stockinged mature beauty with big boobs and long legs, not a cute little loli. Even if you post my photo, no one’s going to believe it.”

At that, she revealed a sly smile. “On the other hand, I could take a picture of you right now, label it as me, and post it on Detective C’s forum account. Then tell me, how many people would start chasing after you in real life, calling you wifey?”

“...Damn it.” This time, it was Nan Shi’s turn to tremble with rage.

Sure enough, there wasn’t a single loli in this world who wasn’t black-hearted.

Seeing her dear roommate getting pushed back step by step in front of a loli, Yuenina was just about to speak when Xi Xi cut her off.

“And besides~”

She pointed a finger at the two girls and narrowed her eyes slightly.

“The way you chased after me was really weird. One of you turned into blood-red smoke. The other turned into a shadow... That kind of magic isn’t something ordinary people can learn.”

“Or rather... it’s not something humans can use at all!”
