Blah blah blah...

Waaah!

Whimper—

Late at night, trapped in the school’s abandoned warehouse with her deskmate, no way out!

Help! I don’t wanna spend the whole night with *this* guy!

Lin Lin kicked the door frantically. Yet the rusted iron gate held firm—surprisingly sturdy.

Clang! Clang! It rattled under her kicks but showed zero signs of breaking.

Exhausted, she turned back, face flushed with panic, eyes pleading at Gao Liang.

“You help too! I wanna go home… sniffle…"

“Uh…”

Gao Liang rose weakly, barely speaking. He stepped to the door, gently guided Lin Lin back, and ushered the little kitty to a safer spot.

Lin Lin retreated slowly—then watched her arch-rival leap. *BANG!* A thunderous kick slammed the iron door.

She flinched hard, stunned by his raw power.

Help… my rival’s *way* too strong. The kind I can’t beat…

A shiver ran through her—like the swaying load-bearing wall. Maybe part fear the ceiling’d collapse and crush them both… but…

After two violent shakes, the door stood unmoved.

“Hiss—”

Gao Liang scowled, ready to kick again—when Lin Lin grabbed his calf, tears in her eyes, shaking her head.

“No more, bro! For our lives—please stop before we’re dug out of rubble tomorrow!”

“Lin Lin… what’s wrong?”

He awkwardly pulled back. Lin Lin sniffled, pointing at the floor. “I’m scared this door’s tougher than the walls and ceiling.”

“Uh…”

Silence settled.

Locked in. Looks like they’d spend the night here.

Maybe not hopeless—parents would notice she’s missing. But…

No escape anytime soon.

Dejected, she slumped into her seat, head on the desk. Eyelids grew heavier… heavier…

Then…

She fell asleep.

…

Drowsy, Lin Lin dreamed.

She became a little white rabbit. Snatched by a big gray wolf, dragged into a pitch-black den—exit sealed by a boulder.

Shivering in the corner, the wolf loomed nearby, watching with amused hunger.

That scorching gaze promised to devour her whole.

Minutes stretched. The wolf licked its wet lips, crept closer.

I’m gonna be eaten! Eaten!

The rabbit trembled—until the wolf leaned in, tongue out…

And started *bathing* her.

The rabbit froze. Questioning reality.

So this big gray wolf…

Was just a husky.

…

Lin Lin jolted awake.

A handsome face hovered inches from hers—three centimeters close. She felt his faint breath, heard a frantic heartbeat (hers? his?).

Gao Liang smiled, admiring her sleepy face.

“Oh? Awake? Bad dream?”

Lin Lin shuddered, jerked back—*CLANG!*—toppling off the stool.

Gao Liang lunged, catching her arm just in time. The stool clattered down.

Then—

She scrambled up, yanked free, stumbled back, finger trembling at him. “Y-you… what were you *doing*?!”

“Eh?” Gao Liang scratched his head. “I… just wanted to cover you with my coat. Got… lost in your sleeping face.”

“C-cover…?”

She eyed him suspiciously, glanced at the fallen coat, then his thin shirt.

Hmm…

No wonder the “wolf den” felt warm.

“But still! Peeping at a sleeping girl?! Where’s your gentleman act? Your princely image?! Pervert! Perverted wolf!”

Gao Liang just laughed, waving casually. “C’mon. Only two of us here.”

…

Lin Lin blinked. “S-so? Only two people… then what?”

“Then… no one’s getting in soon, right?” He smirked. “Lin Lin… means whatever I do now… stays secret~”

Huh?!

Ice shot down her spine. She hugged her chest, voice quivering. “W-what do you want?! I’ll call the police! I *will*!”

“Pfft—” Gao Liang stood, stepping closer. Lin Lin darted around the desk—but the room was tiny.

They circled. Her panicked steps oversized his calm ones.

Like a stamina game. *Exactly* like the wolf chasing the rabbit.

Tears welled. *Finally!* He dropped the perfect-student mask! Knew it—guys this handsome are *always* villains!

Ever since Xiao Ling ran off, I knew he’d pull something…

But *me* as the victim?!

In that split-second lapse—Gao Liang pounced. Pinning her to the study desk.

She struggled weakly, drained. Couldn’t move.

Lying there, she gazed up pitifully. *Please be gentle, wolf…*

“Lin Lin… you can’t run~”

Gao Liang chuckled, holding the desk-pin pose.

“Let me go! *Now*!” she whined.

He softened, ruffled her hair. “Relax. Just bored. Played hide-and-seek. You lost~ So… one request? Nothing weird, promise.”

“I refuse! Beast! Sniffle…" She pouted.

Gao Liang’s eyes crinkled. *Adorable.*

“Fine. Then… no more tutoring? You kept me up all night. Fair trade, right?”
