The kitchen of Tian Shang Ren Jian buzzed at full throttle. Expensive dishes streamed out nonstop. The head chef seized Manager Wang by the collar and roared, “Didn’t we agree on only ten tables a day? Did you book some company’s team-building event?”
Manager Wang trembled but dared not snap back.
Who’d have guessed this petite Vampire Princess had a stomach like a bottomless pit? No matter how much food vanished down her throat, not a ripple showed. As a high-end buffet, they couldn’t very well scold the guest.
Utterly helpless, Manager Wang silently vowed: never again would he accept Chen Yan’s reservation—no matter how big his name. *Screw this.*
Unaware they’d been blacklisted, Su Yue and Chen Yan dined happily.
Little Su Yue picked up a beef bone. With a gentle suck, the tender, fall-off-the-bone meat slipped into her mouth. Satisfied, she wiped her tiny hands with a napkin.
“That’s enough for today. I really can’t eat another bite.”
Manager Wang, fresh from the kitchen’s scolding, forced a smile. Relief washed over him. “Thank goodness you’re full, my lady.”
Chen Yan studied Su Yue’s perfectly flat stomach, intrigued. “Where does it all go? Your belly doesn’t bulge at all. And feeding you before never took this much.”
He recalled two-person portions of fried chicken, beef offal—plenty, but nothing like this.
“I get full fast,” Su Yue said, patting her stomach thoughtfully. “But I never feel stuffed. The extra food just… vanishes.”
“The Bloodkin body is truly amazing.” *Good. At least I won’t go broke.*
“Buffet killer~” Su Yue grinned proudly.
And so, only Tian Shang Ren Jian bore the wounds of this little world.
...
Under Manager Wang’s stiff smile, Su Yue and Chen Yan left, thoroughly satisfied.
Full and drowsy, Little Su Yue curled in the car’s back seat, half-lidded eyes tracing the city lights. Skyscrapers glittered; office windows twinkled like stars. The car’s gentle hum lulled her to sleep.
Home wasn’t far. Chen Yan’s car slid into Fantuan Garden’s underground lot. Rubbing her eyes, a groggy Little Su Yue shuffled out.
“Aren’t vampires nocturnal? Why sleepy the moment night falls?”
“Stereotype,” Su Yue shot back.
A cool elevator breeze sharpened her senses. She followed Chen Yan to Unit 6507, casting a complicated glance at Unit 6512 nearby.
“Come in. I’ve got a surprise for you,” Chen Yan said, opening the door.
“Not a *scare*, is it…?”
She stepped inside cautiously. At the entrance, a new pair of women’s slippers waited—black plush, stamped with a crescent moon and castle. *Obviously for me.*
“Stereotype,” she muttered inwardly.
Slipping into the perfectly fitted slippers, she entered the living room. Same layout as before.
“This surprise isn’t just the slippers, right?” She poked Chen Yan’s lower back.
“Of course not. I prepared a room for you—as your bedroom.” He pointed. “Check it now. Get familiar before Lucifer visits.”
A bad feeling prickled Su Yue’s chest. A household familiar having a room was normal… but Chen Yan’s tone hinted otherwise.
Little Su Yue gripped the doorknob, swallowed hard, and pushed gently. Light flooded in.
A thirty-square-meter room unfolded. Dark red thorn-patterned wallpaper. A vast burgundy carpet over dark wood floors. A solid desk beside a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe. Heavy European curtains blocked all light; a carved full-length mirror stood opposite. Center stage: a massive princess-style bed—easily fitting six Su Yues squeezed tight. Tiny bat and castle ornaments dotted the space. A vanity sat bedside. Six plush vampire-themed dolls nestled on the quilt.
“S-stereotype…” she grumbled mentally.
She stepped inside. Vampire-themed, yet undeniably girlish. She felt oddly out of place.
“What do you think?” Chen Yan followed, confident she’d adore it.
“It’s… okay,” Su Yue murmured, sparing his feelings.
“Heh. You didn’t think *this* was all?” Hands on hips, Chen Yan beamed. “What other tricks?”
“Behold!”
He slapped a carved panel at the bed’s foot and twisted.
*Click.* A pitch-black coffin popped from beneath.
...
Su Yue fell silent.
Chen Yan lifted the lid. Inside: burgundy plush lining like a luxury sofa. “Worried you’d hate beds, so I got this premium coffin. Leather interior, smart climate control, silent ventilation, Zony lossless speakers, voice-controlled assistant—set alarms, adjust volume, all hands-free.”
“How… *thoughtful*,” Su Yue gritted out.
“Stereotypes… This world’s drowning in Bloodkin stereotypes… waaah.”
“Something wrong? Little Su Yue doesn’t like it?” Chen Yan asked gently, sensing her mood.
“No… I see you put real effort in,” she said with a strained smile.
*Adults and their polite lies.*
“I’m sorry. I assumed you’d like it… never asked your opinion.” Chen Yan held her gaze, sincere.
Su Yue looked up. Seeing his earnest regret, Little Vampire’s heart softened instantly.
“No, really—I kinda like it. You did great.”
She reached out, mimicking how he’d once petted her, and patted his head. *First time touching a man’s head… as a girl.*
His slightly coarse hair tickled her palm. Warmth radiated from his scalp. A strange flutter seized her. Her heartbeat skipped. His scent deepened, wrapping around her.
“Su Yue, you—” Chen Yan stammered.
“Out.” Flustered, she snatched her hand back, hiding it behind her.
“I—”
“*Out!*”
“Alright. I’ll be in the living room. Rest early if tired, Little Su Yue.” He obeyed, closing the door softly.
A blush flooded Su Yue’s cheeks. She collapsed onto the bed, curling tight.
“Ugh… Why am I acting so weird…”
