Liu Qing took Xiao Feng by the hand, rode the mall elevator to the clothing floor, and smiled as she asked,

"Xiao Feng, do you prefer Versace, Y-3, or Valentino?"

Hearing the luxury brands, Xiao Feng shook his head firmly. "Let’s skip these. Way too expensive!"

"No way!" Liu Qing pouted, her tone thick with disapproval. "How else do we show off Xiao Feng’s handsomeness?"

"Alright, alright, Sister Qing—I’ll buy. But these brands are pricey, and mall boutiques jack up the cost even more. Can we pick something else?" Xiao Feng genuinely worried about owing her too much if she spent thousands on him.

Liu Qing sighed. "Xiao Feng, I know you’re mindful of the price, but Sister really doesn’t lack this money. Relax!" Without waiting for his reply, she tugged him toward a nearby boutique.

The salesperson greeted them with a practiced smile. "Looking for clothes today?"

"Mm, buying for my… boyfriend!" Liu Qing added after a heartbeat—it just felt right.

Xiao Feng covered his forehead inwardly groaning, *Am I really this handsome that a goddess like her’s throwing herself at me?*

Before dating Xia Xue, he’d daydreamed about his future wife—but never someone as stunningly mature and elegant as Liu Qing. Even then, he’d deemed it unlikely.

Now she insisted on calling him her boyfriend… *She’s teasing me again,* he decided. She’d done it plenty before. Misreading it would be way more awkward later.

Too lost in thought, he missed how Liu Qing stole a glance at his face after saying "boyfriend." Seeing no discomfort, she quietly exhaled. She *wanted* to confess—but even bold Liu Qing turned shy around love. So she hid her feelings behind "teasing." He might not get it… but at least *verbally* being his girlfriend meant progress.

"We have many men’s styles! Have your boyfriend try some on," the salesperson said warmly.

Liu Qing nodded at Xiao Feng. "Feng, I’ll pick some—try them on, okay?"

*Xiao Feng froze.* *Wait—she switched to "Feng"? Is she fully in character now?!*

He forced a strained smile. "Sure. Whatever you say."

And just like that, Xiao Feng became a human fitting rack. Liu Qing had him try every piece she liked.

Trying clothes? Fine. Slightly tedious, but manageable.

What broke him: she told the clerk to pack *everything* he looked good in—no hesitation, no price check. Xiao Feng glimpsed two tees tagged ¥1,000–2,000 each. *How rich is she?!*

He felt genuinely overwhelmed. Even the clerk’s smile shifted from professional to genuinely gleeful—eyes crinkled shut like she’d spotted the God of Wealth.

Xiao Feng tugged Liu Qing’s sleeve softly. "Sister Qing… isn’t this too much?"

She blinked. "Too much? This is less than half my usual haul!"

Xiao Feng stared at the dozen+ bags and boxes. *Does she need a car just to carry her shopping home?*

"Kid, what’re you doing here?"

A smug voice cut through his thoughts. Xiao Feng turned—the entrance held Li Wei: golden-haired, stylish, grinning cockily beside a pretty new girl.

*Of course. Another girlfriend.*

This guy swapped partners like socks. Such a player.

"Li Wei, what the hell are you doing here? Shopping with your new girl?"

Li Wei smirked, eyebrows waggling meaningfully.

Xiao Feng covered his face inwardly. *Damn… total player.*
