014 He Vowed to Be My Armor

Luo Qingchuan knew what Gao Rongrong looked like.

When she invited him into the group chat, her profile picture was a selfie.

“Excuse me—where’s Su Yingsnow?”

Luo Qingchuan asked politely, just to be courteous.

Gao Rongrong giggled and leaned in close.

She was the type who got familiar fast.

The girl settled intimately beside him, whispering into his ear:

“Junior Luo, Su Yingsnow stepped out—her ex just called her away. Don’t you think… it’s *so* unlucky?”

“Mad? She looked kinda reluctant to leave.”

Giggling, Gao Rongrong secretly watched his face.

He didn’t flinch.

No big deal.

Without warning, the student council president swung herself onto his lap, soft thighs gently trapping him.

“I’ll *reluctantly* keep my cute junior company. After all… it’s the student council president’s duty to help students.”

Warm and fragrant in his arms, Luo Qingchuan’s heartbeat slowly quickened.

She sensed the stir beneath her.

She smiled.

Delicate. Bewitching.

Her fingertips brushed her collar aside, revealing the delicate collarbone beneath snow-white skin.

Half-hidden curves tantalized. A hint of black lace peeked into view.

*Uncover it.*

*See all of it.*

If he stayed silent, she’d keep going.

Until bodies fused. Until fluids mingled. Until moans drowned the quiet.

Golden hour filled the literature club room. The gift box with the new phone lay lonely on the desk; shadows stretched long and still.

Her arms looped around his neck.

Lips parted, breath soft and teasing. Eyes smoldering.

“Truth is… I’m lonely too.”

... ... ...

Beneath a yellowing deciduous tree on campus.

Su Yingsnow gazed at the calm, handsome black-haired boy. “What do you want?”

“Delete that post. Add me back.” Zuo Tian sighed. “Su Yingsnow… really?”

Silence.

Her long lashes trembled faintly.

But the heart that should’ve raged, ached, floundered…

Was terrifyingly still.

She finally understood true “liking”—not childhood “companionship.”

What a lover was.

What a friend was.

“None of your business,” she said simply.

“People will talk.”

Zuo Tian leaned against the trunk, flashing a lazy grin. “Just delete it. I’m too weak to handle trouble.”

Su Yingsnow had no words left.

No topic. No bridge.

The boy smiled gently, eyes half-lidded. “Su Yingsnow… don’t do this.”

“Truly none of your concern.”

Her eyes calm as deep sea. She offered a faint, elegant smile.

“I have plans. I’m leaving.”

Polite. Respectful. Like parting with an old friend.

Zuo Tian noticed her steps wavered—each step sent a tiny tremor through her thighs.

She was hurting.

He froze. Frowned. “Who did this?”

Why…

His usually unmoved heart clouded with unexpected gloom.

*Just an annoying woman.*

Su Yingsnow turned, smile bright.

“Luo Qingchuan. See? A beautiful name. A wonderful person. *So* wonderful.”

Zuo Tian’s half-closed eyes snapped open.

At that name—

His voice turned glacial. “You can hate me. But don’t degrade yourself.”

His dark pupils held storm clouds… and starless voids.

Su Yingsnow shuddered. Stopped.

Took two light steps closer.

A cold laugh escaped her.

Celestial beauty—enough to shame the moon.

“You’re right. I *am* degrading myself,” she bit her lip. “So I could meet him. Someone sincere. He said he’d be my strongest armor.”

Zuo Tian blinked. Then laughed.

“You believe sweet talk? Fool. Wait till he’s bored.”

“I don’t care.”

She smiled faintly.

Zuo Tian breathed deep twice, swallowing rage.

Then smiled gently again. “My fault. Let’s talk it out.”

He reached for her wrist—

*Crack—*

A translucent sword aura, like water ripples, erupted from the ground!

Lightning-fast.

Wind shredded leaves. Air thinned.

A brutal gash scarred the trembling tree.

Yellow leaves drifted down.

Zuo Tian stood stunned. Pupils shaking.

Fear—raw, overwhelming—gripped him.

*She could kill me.*

Shame burned hot.

Breath caught. Hand frozen midair. Eyes wide, reflecting her ice-cold face—as if seeing her for the first time.

“Did he force you…?”

“I took the initiative.”

She walked away without looking back.

“You… sending yourself off?”

Slowly. Calmly. Like a coiled hawk.

Zuo Tian’s sharp aura receded.

Eyes narrowed again—holding galaxies.

“I misjudged you, Su Yingsnow. You’re truly despicable.”

She didn’t turn. Her back grew smaller. A tear fell—caught by her own hand.

After she left…

Zuo Tian felt the silent Golden Tower within his mind… finally stir open.

Awakened by that invisible sword.

And that surging, shameful fear.

He murmured with a hollow chuckle, “Su Yingsnow… don’t you dare regret this.”

You’re not from the same world.

A century from now, Luo Qingchuan will be dust in a grave.

And you?

Even with the highest legacy… the world gains only one lonely sword immortal.

... ... ...

“Please get up, senior.”

“Eh? No~ Kiss me first.”

“Get up.”

“No~”

“Then I’ll use force.”

“Try me~”

*Thud.*

A dull thump.

Gao Rongrong sprawled on the floor, legs splayed—nothing hidden beneath her skirt.

She never expected Luo Qingchuan’s willpower. Not even a flicker! Other juniors would’ve surrendered after two rubs.

Eyes blazing with shame and fury, she lunged like a wild kitten, fists flailing.

“Brat! Take this!”

But Luo Qingchuan wasn’t soft.

One move—he pinned her facedown on the sofa. She wriggled like a tied-up fish, pale calves kicking.

“Time for discipline.”

One hand held her. The other rose—*smack!*—landing on her bottom.

Smooth skin met firm palm. A faint sting rippled through soft flesh.

“Mmph! Don’t—!" Her body jolted.

He didn’t ease up. Hit harder.

“Like hurting others?”

“Wah… sorry…"

“Toy with innocent boys?”

“Hiss…"

“Playing the field? Fishing for boys?”

“L-Luo… Young Master… if you keep hitting… I might actually… *like* it…"

Sweat dotted her brow. Hair tangled. Eyes heavy-lidded. A whimper escaped her lips.

*Bang.*

The door flew open.

Su Yingsnow stood there, eyes rimmed red.

Staring at them. Her elegant face slowly chilled. Lip bitten. Tears glistened.

“Luo Qingchuan… Didn’t you say you’d be my armor…?"
