Chapter 42: The Goblin That Delivered It

Tang Jihede and the others returned to the territory after finishing their shopping.

“Qin Yu and the others still aren’t back yet?”

Tang Jihede and the others were planning to get some proper rest in the lakeside villa.

When Silver Crimson Snow saw them return, she didn’t really greet them. She wasn’t that familiar with Tang Jihede’s group, after all.

“Tangtang! Come look at this!”

Candied Hawthorn came over holding a blob of something that looked like jelly.

“What is it?”

“It should be... something tasty.”

Mochi Dumpling reached out, grabbed the “jelly” from Candied Hawthorn’s hand, and swallowed it in one go.

“Hey! Little Mochi! How can you just eat random stuff like that?!”

Old Vinegar wanted Mochi Dumpling to spit it back out, but she had already swallowed it.

“This is a game. It’s fine.”

Mochi Dumpling said it to Old Vinegar in a very calm tone.

“...Right.”

Old Vinegar had almost forgotten that. This game was just way too realistic.

“That thing was brought by that Sylvan Elf and the little fairy. Supposedly, it’s for cleaning your body.”

Silver Crimson Snow sat at the table and looked at the girls as she spoke.

“So... that means it wasn’t food?”

Old Vinegar and the others looked at Mochi Dumpling. Mochi Dumpling tilted her head and said, “But Mochi thinks it tastes really good.”

“...”

No one else knew what to say. Sure, this was a game, but even then... eating that kind of thing was still impossible to accept, okay?!

On Qin Yu’s side, things went smoothly. They cleared out the three fortified bandit camps. The children had basically all reached Tier 2. Hong, with the experience she had built up earlier, successfully advanced to Tier 3. Qin Yu himself was still 100 experience short, but he wasn’t in a hurry. His own level didn’t matter much. What mattered was the army’s overall strength.

The troop training had gone very well, so Qin Yu and the others returned to the territory. On the way back, they also seized quite a lot of supplies from the bandits and outlaws. That meant less money spent buying materials.

Silver Crimson Snow had been drinking the flower tea Shikari brought her. Then she suddenly sensed something and vanished from the table. Qin Yu and the others were back, and she was the first to appear and greet them.

“Servant, you came back a little slowly.”

Her tone was completely flat. You couldn’t hear any particular emotion in it at all.

But Qin Yu knew her very well. The fact that she showed up immediately made it obvious she had been worried about him.

“Xiaoxue, thanks for coming to welcome us so quickly.”

“Servant, I think you’ve misunderstood something. I only came to see whether enemies were invading.”

That un-tsundere way of hers felt oddly familiar to Qin Yu. In his eyes, that was just the kind of person she was.

“You really are something else.”

Luna couldn’t stand the way Silver Crimson Snow acted. She had already reached Tier 5 now, so she had a bit more confidence too.

“A mere servant’s servant dares challenge the master’s master just because she rose one tier?”

Looks like these two were about to start fighting again.

“Alright, alright, both of you, cut it out. Let’s head back first. We brought back quite a lot of supplies this trip, so let’s hold another banquet.”

“Okay!”

The children were naturally thrilled when they heard the word banquet. Luna and Silver Crimson Snow also stopped arguing after hearing it. It was true, after all. Banquets meant good food. That made them a pretty great event.

“I always feel like Lord Qin Yu’s relationships are kind of weird.”

Nanafu sat on Shikari’s shoulder and muttered softly into her ear.

“Nanafu, you like banquets too, don’t you?”

Shikari didn’t respond to that. She just asked a question instead.

“Of course! All the apples at this banquet are mine!”

At the last banquet, Nanafu had wiped out quite a bit of the apple stock. For some reason, she really loved apples.

Everyone returned to the territory and started yet another banquet. This one was a celebration feast.

The next day, everyone was still sleeping because of yesterday’s banquet.

Suddenly, Silver Crimson Snow’s Bloodwood Coffin opened, and she looked up at the sky.

In the distant air above the territory, several goblin airships were flying this way.

“Haaah...”

Qin Yu was also woken by the commotion from Silver Crimson Snow. He walked over and asked, “Xiaoxue, what’s wrong?”

On the bed, the empty spot beside Luna had been completely taken over by someone sleeping spread-eagle. There was even a smile hanging at the corner of her mouth, as if she were dreaming about something wonderful.

“There are flying units approaching.”

“Oh~ It’s probably goblin airships. I had Tang and the others place an order earlier for fifty goblin robots. They got delivered this fast?”

Qin Yu was a little surprised by the goblins’ delivery speed. He had originally thought it would take three days.

“So it was a false alarm?”

Silver Crimson Snow looked at Qin Yu with a resentful gaze.

“Uh, well, you can’t say that exactly. Xiaoxue, what if they were bad guys? We should still go take a look~”

Qin Yu forced a smile onto his face. Anyone would be annoyed after having their sleep interrupted, especially Silver Crimson Snow.

Silver Crimson Snow said nothing and walked straight outside. Qin Yu followed behind her.

“Good morning, Lord Qin Yu, and Lady Lord.”

The early-rising Shikari greeted Qin Yu and Silver Crimson Snow when she saw them.

“Lady?”

Silver Crimson Snow repeated the word in a questioning tone.

“Isn’t that right?”

Shikari fell into self-doubt at once. What if she had said the wrong thing and upset the lord?

“Yes, of course it is.”

Qin Yu quickly spoke up to ease the atmosphere.

“Right now, he’s only my servant.”

After tossing out that line, Silver Crimson Snow turned her head so Qin Yu couldn’t see her expression and walked out directly. Shikari fell into confusion again. Were human-Bloodkin relationships really this complicated?

“Shikari, don’t worry too much about it. Xiaoxue tends to say one thing and mean another.”

Her expression just now had clearly been very happy.

“Yes, Lord Qin Yu.”

After speaking with Shikari, Qin Yu hurried after her.

In the distant sky, several goblin airships could be seen flying this way.

“So it really was goblin airships.”

Qin Yu looked at Silver Crimson Snow. She said nothing. The two of them simply stood there quietly and waited for the goblin airships to land.

Eight goblin airships landed inside Qin Yu’s territory.

Several goblins came down from the airships and unloaded all the goblin robots Qin Yu had ordered. One goblin, clearly dressed like the person in charge, walked over to Qin Yu. But Qin Yu really couldn’t tell goblins apart very well as a race. They all looked pretty much the same to him.

“Honored Lord, greetings~ I am Jinrui, the person in charge of the Holy Capital branch of the Goblin Mercantile Guild. Thank you for ordering fifty goblin robots from our guild. I’m sure they’ll create even greater value for you and your territory~”

The way goblins talked was always this weird.

“However, before you sign for the delivery, please pay the remaining balance.”

Qin Yu nodded, then poured out 1.25 million gold coins from his storage space. Jinrui was naturally delighted to see so much gold. He had his subordinates count it and bag it up, then brought over the inventory list for Qin Yu to check and sign.

“A pleasure doing business with you, esteemed Lord. Might you be interested in applying for a savings card from our Goblin Mercantile Guild? It’s accepted throughout the main world. No need to carry large amounts of gold with you. Deposit and withdraw anytime...”

Taking the chance, Jinrui also started promoting the Goblin Mercantile Guild’s savings card service to Qin Yu. This savings card service was actually one of the guild’s more honest products.

Savings card tiers, from low to high:

“Then I’ll get one.”

Qin Yu directly chose the highest-tier card available aside from the Black Gold Card: the Platinum Card.
