Chapter 32: The Quest for the Boundless

Perhaps because I found it rather amusing, I also placed a small ad.

The Bloodstained Spear team had thirty members total. Except for their leader, everyone else was below level twenty. From the moment I spotted them, I’d already counted: seven spellcasters, eight assassins, ten warriors, five healers. To wipe them out, I’d need to eliminate the healers first. But with my current damage output, instantly killing anyone was unrealistic.

Might as well show off a bit, then go down gloriously. Wiping them out? Totally impossible…

After calculating everything, I strolled leisurely out of the city gate.

Knights, warriors, and heavy armored soldiers charged first, trying to taunt me.

“Phantom Step”

Dark deathly aura coiled around my body. I dodged each attack one by one.

“In the name of the Elemental God Mira, I beseech the frost: Freeze.”

“In the name of the Elemental God Mira, I call upon the ice to pierce all impurities: Extreme Ice Spike.”

Bone-chilling cold hit my face. The ice magic’s freeze effect slowed my movement.

Meanwhile, a warrior taunted me, forcing me to attack him.

Right after, ice spikes erupted from the ground. Grazing my skin, a red -95 popped above my head. Magic damage was still pretty high.

Luckily, this game had no friendly fire immunity. The ice spikes shooting up before me also hit the warrior and knight, restraining their attacks.

Assassins stealthily surrounded me, some even invisible.

Relying on instinct, I weaved through the crowd. Dodging heavy hits, I gulped health potions to avoid being one-shot.

They had numbers, but no coordination. With a little focus, taking a few down before dying would be easy.

A luxurious silver-white sedan pulled up to a modest house.

“Put everything here.”

Oriental September stepped out first and pushed open the courtyard gate.

“Young miss, are you really staying here long-term? The master will worry.”

The butler stepped out from the driver’s seat. Frowning at the common neighborhood, he thought this place wasn’t fit for their stature.

“Tch. That stupid dad never respects my feelings or considers my thoughts. I won’t bother with him.”

“Young miss, the master only cares because—”

“Enough. Help move the luggage. And remember—don’t tell dad where I am. Or you’ll regret it.”

Oriental September carried a suitcase into the yard. She unlocked the door with a voice command.

“Sigh.”

As a butler, he had no choice with this willful young miss.

He opened the trunk and lifted out the other two suitcases.

“Woof woof woof!”

The moment he entered the yard, a small dog latched onto his trouser leg.

“Go away.”

Since it was the young miss’s pet, the butler gently kicked the dog aside. However…

“Woof—”

Kicked away, it rolled over. Then Little Black’s body split open. Nanomachines surged out, expanding until they stood as tall as a man.

Staring at the giant robotic dog, even the butler froze in shock.

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you coming in?”

Oriental September came out after waiting. Like the butler, she was stunned: a massive robotic dog blocked his path.

“L-Little Black?”

“Woof.”

As if understanding her, Little Black nodded. But its gaze stayed locked on the butler, ready to tear him apart if he moved.

“Leave the luggage there. I’ll take it in myself.”

“Yes, young miss.”

After setting down the bags, the butler raised his hands. He backed out of the yard carefully, terrified the machine dog might pounce.

Once the butler drove off, Little Black shrank back to puppy size. It ran to Oriental September, rubbing against her trouser leg.

“This place… is getting more and more fun.”

Gently lifting the puppy, a smile spread across Oriental September’s lips. Every visit brought something new and exciting.

Carrying both suitcases, she moved in opposite Aotian Long’s place. Unpacking, she began decorating her room.

“Violet Evergarden.”

“Master, how may I assist?”

“Can you pull up the ‘Emperor’ forum page? I want to check recent posts.”

“YES, Master.”

Halfway through arranging her room, Oriental September paused. A notification caught her attention.

【HOT】[Philosophy] A player♂ furiously challenged thirty opponents outside Frost City, disregarding his image. The open battle was incredibly intense.

Biyang High School Student Council.

Ouyang Qingsnow wore black-rimmed glasses. With a serious expression, she reviewed student suggestions, sorting meaningful ones from pointless ones.

“Guild Leader, we’re heading home. You should leave early too.”

“Mm. Take care on your way.”

Dusk neared. Golden light poured into the classroom. A breeze from the window tousled her hair.

She brushed her strands aside and kept working. Ouyang Qingsnow’s focused demeanor radiated charm. Anyone passing the door would be awestruck.

Beyond student suggestions, she handled club fee applications and monthly payments. Though the accountant had compiled tables, they still needed the Guild Leader’s approval.

Only when the sky turned pitch black did she finish. Rubbing her tired shoulders, she stretched her limbs.

“They must be getting impatient.”

Standing by the window, she gazed at the empty campus. A soft smile curved on her lips.

“I just wanted to unwind… didn’t expect to stay this late.”

She opened a desk drawer, took out a medicine box, and placed two pills in her mouth.

“So bitter! So bitter!” >_<

After tidying the classroom and locking doors and windows, she finally left.

4

Outside Frost City, wilderness zone.

Flames burned on the ground. Frozen ice spikes pierced the earth. Vines writhed like venomous snakes.

As expected, soloing this was tough.

After breaking through obstacles, I reached the spellcasters. They couldn’t fight back against my attacks. Trapped and interrupted, they were helpless.

I’d already taken out three spellcasters and two assassins. But my potions were nearly empty.

Boom—

A giant fireball crashed down. Hit by it, my health bar dropped to one-fifth.

Chugging potions, I watched the chasing assassins and warriors. I began retreating.

“In the name of our contract, appear at my summons.”

A magic circle flared on the ground. Three elemental spirits materialized.

“Ganging up on one person? That’s not heroic. Brother, I’ll help you.”

A summoner-class player joined the fight, commanding his pets.

“Damn!”

Not a single kill yet, and now another helper showed up. Bloodstained Spear’s leader couldn’t help but groan.

“I can’t stand watching anymore. If you’re fighting, count me in.”

A man stepped out from the spectators and charged into battle. His appearance sparked a wave of shocked gasps.
