Over the next few months, he continuously absorbed the "Primordial Energy" within the womb. Everything progressed smoothly. With just a few more days, he was absolutely confident he could break through to the next major realm, reaching unprecedented heights. In his past life, he had already stood at humanity's peak. If he broke through again now, would people call him a monster? Who could possibly break through such a major realm in mere months? In his past life, others would have laughed it off as a joke. But now, he had truly achieved it.

Yet, on the eve of his planned breakthrough, labor began. He knew it was time to be born.

House Bai summoned a midwife. The young woman screamed in pain all night. He felt torn—should he keep cultivating or choose birth?

If he gave up this chance, he might never find such pure "Primordial Energy" again. He might never get another perfect opportunity to break through.

Though he had never met this 'mother,' a deep longing for maternal love stirred in his heart. He couldn't bear to keep cultivating. Whenever he recalled his past life—watching other children walk hand in hand with their parents—he felt a strange ache.

If... if he had a mother, would he not live a life of constant fighting and killing? Could he have acted spoiled in his parents' arms like other kids? These were just fleeting thoughts, yet they haunted his mind.

So he decided to abandon cultivation. He gave up this breakthrough chance to fulfill a childhood dream.

Rebirth meant a fresh start, a new life. He let go of the past. He chose to experience this new life, meet new 'parents,' and keep his sister a secret buried deep in his heart. He would live happily for both of them, making this second life worthwhile.

As he thought this, his body suddenly felt squeezed. It slowly shifted sideways.

He knew birth was imminent. He stopped resisting and let nature take its course.

Yet his mind wandered to his past life—to joyful moments with his sister, to old memories.

Hearing the screams outside and the midwife's shouts, he smiled faintly. "Goodbye, past. Goodbye, sister."

That night, he—no, she—was born.

"A new life. I'm coming." The moment she entered the world, she spoke these words. But to others, it sounded like loud wailing.

The midwife held her, visibly relieved. The young woman's screams ceased. She gazed at her baby with a tender smile, pure joy radiating from her face.

Soon after, two people entered the room. One was the young woman's husband, Bai Mo. The other was their elder daughter, Bai Ting. She had waist-length silver hair tied in a swaying ponytail. Her delicate face featured enchanting, soul-capturing eyes, long lashes, and big, watery orbs that radiated cuteness. Her skin looked so dewy, a gentle pinch might draw out water.

Bai Mo rushed to the young woman's side. "Yue Xin, are you alright?"

The little girl also approached, calling out, "Mother!"

"Oh, Xiao Ting's here too!" Yue Xin reached out and stroked the girl's head. Xiao Ting closed her eyes happily, humming softly, utterly content.

Only then did Yue Xin turn to her husband. "I'm fine, just tired. Go see the baby first." She glanced warmly toward the infant.

At the word 'baby,' Bai Mo's face lit up with joy. "Right." He walked to the midwife and carefully took the baby, afraid of hurting her. Holding her, he felt lightheaded. Those big, watery eyes. That exquisite little face. She'd surely grow into a breathtaking beauty. Her tiny, boneless hands waved unconsciously, as if grasping for something.

Bai Mo carried her to Yue Xin's bedside. "Yue Xin, look. Such a cute little one. She'll be a beauty that turns heads when she grows up." Though stern to outsiders, Bai Mo was playful only with his family.

Yue Xin shot him a mock glare. "Stop being silly. She just born, and you're already thinking about her future."

Bai Mo chuckled awkwardly, scratching his head. He fell silent.

Xiao Ting piped up from the side. "What a cute sister! Just like Father said—she'll be a total beauty. I'll dress her up super pretty!" She bounced with excitement.

Yue Xin smiled at her. "Xiao Ting will be a beauty too when she grows up. No less stunning than her sister."

"Mhm!" Xiao Ting nodded firmly, then stared intently at her new sibling.

"Oh, right." Yue Xin turned to Bai Mo. "We haven't named her yet. Why not choose one now?"

"You're right." Bai Mo had forgotten. After a few minutes of thought, he snapped his fingers. "Got it! How about Bai Ling?"

"Bai Ling? Hmm. It's lovely. Let's go with that."
