"Still want to sleep?" Nian Xifeng asked, gazing at Nian Yuchi curled up in his arms like a tiny kitten.

"Mm! I still want to sleep!" Nian Yuchi hadn’t gotten enough rest—the demon called Sleep was beckoning to her right now.

"Alright, you sleep first. I’ll go make breakfast for you!" Nian Xifeng gently patted her head again before getting up.

Nian Yuchi loosened her arms around him, letting him prepare breakfast.

As he cooked as usual, Nian Xifeng pondered: should he enter the school as a teacher or a student?

If he became a teacher, would they have less time together? Besides, teaching seemed like such a hassle.

Hmm! Better to be a student. But could he get into the same class as Yuchi?

Well, if not, he could always strike a deal.

Lost in thought but never pausing his hands, Nian Xifeng soon finished a breakfast just for two.

He decided to let her sleep longer—such peaceful moments were rare.

After all, she’d never faced anything like yesterday and naturally felt insecure.

When it was time, Nian Xifeng went to Yuchi’s room. "Yuchi, wake up! Breakfast!"

"Mm!" Today, Nian Yuchi was oddly obedient—normally, she’d beg for more sleep.

But why no movement after that "mm"? A new trick to avoid rising?

Nian Xifeng didn’t care. "I’m taking action now!" he chuckled.

"Mm!" Nian Yuchi just mumbled drowsily, eyes shut, curled tighter on the bed.

"Here I come!" Nian Xifeng reached out, lifting her in a princess carry to the bathroom. He readied her for the day as always.

After some fussing, Nian Yuchi finally woke up properly. Now, she ate breakfast with him.

Just as they finished, a knock sounded at the door.

Nian Xifeng opened it to find Han Yuying standing there.

"Morning, Brother Xifeng!" Han Yuying greeted him with a sweet smile, like summer morning dew—refreshing and bright.

"Mm! Morning, Yuying! Come in!" Nian Xifeng smiled slightly and stepped aside.

"Okay!" Han Yuying walked in without hesitation.

"Had breakfast?" Nian Xifeng asked.

"Mm, just finished!"

"Really? Want more?"

"No thanks!"

"Alright. Sit tight while I clean up!" Nian Xifeng started clearing the dishes.

"Okay!"

"Morning, Yuchi!" Han Yuying called to Nian Yuchi on the sofa. But why did she look so distracted?

"Mm, morning, Yuying!" Nian Yuchi replied weakly.

"Huh? What’s wrong?" Han Yuying’s concern spilled out.

"I’m fine! Just didn’t sleep well!" Nian Yuchi hid yesterday’s incident—she didn’t want Han Yuying worrying.

"Is that so?" Han Yuying clearly doubted it.

"Mm-hmm! Yes!" Nian Yuchi yawned.

"Alright! Tell me if anything’s up!" Han Yuying stopped pressing—she’d speak when ready.

"Mm!" Nian Yuchi answered softly.

Nian Xifeng joined them on the sofa after cleaning. "Yuying, I need to tell you something."

Seeing his serious face, Han Yuying braced for bad news. "Huh? What is it, Brother Xifeng? Just say it!" Her tone turned grave.

"From now on, I’ll accompany Yuchi to her academy for classes. Our joint missions move to afternoons—if that doesn’t work, I’ll quit." Nian Xifeng stared at her intently.

"That’s it?" Han Yuying had expected a crisis, not this.

"Ah... yeah! Just this. Problem?" Nian Xifeng was surprised—wasn’t this a big deal?

"No problem. Since you decided, Brother Xifeng, I’ll tell the team. They’ll understand." Han Yuying sounded confident.

"Oh, good!" Nian Xifeng sighed in relief.

"But why accompany Yuchi to school?" Han Yuying asked curiously.

"Uh..." Nian Xifeng glanced at Yuchi. She met his eyes and gave a slight nod.

"Well, Yuchi was kidnapped yesterday. I’ll stay by her side to prevent it happening again." His voice held self-reproach, as if blaming himself.

"Eh? Yesterday?!" Han Yuying’s eyes widened in disbelief at Nian Yuchi.

"Mm!" Nian Yuchi nodded softly, avoiding details.

"It happened yesterday afternoon. So missions shift to afternoons—and Yuchi will join us." Nian Xifeng added.

"Mm! I’ll discuss it with them." Han Yuying pondered how to explain.

"Thanks!" Nian Xifeng looked at her apologetically.

"No worries! Reporting today, Brother Xifeng?"

"Mm! Heading to school with Yuchi now."

"Then it’s late—you should go. I’ll leave!" Han Yuying stood up.

"Okay! Be careful!" Nian Xifeng said instinctively.

"Don’t worry! The Adventurers’ Guild’s close—nothing’ll happen." Han Yuying flashed him a playful smile and left.

"Let’s go too!" Nian Xifeng turned to Nian Yuchi after she left.

"Mm!"

...

They arrived at Tianqin School. After dropping Nian Yuchi at Class 2, Grade 1, Nian Xifeng left reassured. He headed to the principal’s office, easily found via the entrance map.

"Transferring mid-term means showing strength—or I might not even qualify for Yuchi’s class. Guess I’ll use this move." Nian Xifeng muttered, walking toward the office.

Soon, a door loomed with "Principal’s Office" above it.

Nian Xifeng didn’t rush in. Should he burst through or knock?

Bursting in might mean paying damages—too risky.

Knocking first might seem weak.

Neither worked! Only one way left.

Decision made, he activated his ability.

In a blink, Nian Xifeng vanished—and appeared inside the office!

Principal Yu Pinglong sat reading documents when a figure materialized before him. He nearly dropped his file folder in fright.

But as principal, he kept his composure. The visitor had appeared silently, no hostility—they weren’t here to kill him.

Though shocked, he retained his dignity. "Who are you, and what brings you here?" Yu Pinglong kept his tone calm. Angering a teleporter was unwise.

He was certain it was teleportation—rare as spotting a UFO.

"I just want to be a student here." It was Nian Xifeng, teleported straight from outside.

"Huh?" Yu Pinglong was bewildered. Teleporting in just to enroll? Was this a joke?

"Th-that is, are you serious?"

"Mm, but I choose my class. Possible?" Nian Xifeng stayed calm.

"Uh..." Yu Pinglong was speechless. What a weirdo!

"What? No?" Nian Xifeng’s tone chilled. Had he not shown enough strength? He’d escalate if needed.

"Yes! Yes!" Yu Pinglong saw his displeasure and beamed.

"Good."

"Why do this?" Yu Pinglong didn’t get it—normally, a request sufficed.

"What do you mean?" Nian Xifeng frowned.

"Why enter this way?" Yu Pinglong asked carefully, watching his face.

"I felt like it!"

"Uh..." Such a willful kid!

"Which class do you want?"

"Class 2, Grade 1."
