That voice.

Charlotte’s sword swings began to slow. His tightly shut eyes gradually opened slightly.

He saw a white figure charging toward him. When he got a clear look, he froze completely. The Long Sword he’d been holding dropped to the ground.

So beautiful!

That was all Charlotte could think.

So beautiful! Silver-white hair, snow-white skin, eyes blazing crimson like a raging fire. What was that? An angel? A fairy? Or some creature from pure fantasy?

And it wasn’t just the hair. That petite, delicate face paired with a perfectly proportioned, slender body—it was a beauty without a single flaw!

But one thing was certain: this beauty was male. He lacked Charlotte’s effeminate aura, nor did he have the rugged masculinity of burly men or handsome studs. Yet, he was a flawless beauty.

But the expression on that handsome face was excitement. Extreme excitement!

“Duck your head! Didn’t you hear me?”

“Oh... oh...”

Charlotte snapped out of it and hastily lowered his slightly flushed head.

The War Spear named Snowfall Thousand Chills swept past his hair. A thin layer of ice covered the chests of the Deep Divers surrounding Charlotte.

Snap!

Lin Zhong snapped his fingers lightly. The ice’s color deepened gradually.

Crack!

The ice on the Deep Divers shattered completely—along with their bodies. They were severed horizontally. The ice sealed their blood, making the upper halves on the ground keep writhing.

Thud! Thud! Thud!!

The sound of palms slapping the ground and hoarse wails made Charlotte’s eardrums feel like bursting.

“Pick up your sword. Step aside.”

Lin Zhong gripped his War Spear tightly and walked step by step toward the fishmen piled across the entire dock.

Charlotte finally recognized who that person was—his teammate this time, the cowardly scum despised by everyone.

Lin Zhong.

That slow, pleasant voice—Charlotte couldn’t think of anyone else.

“You...”

Charlotte pointed with a trembling finger, but heard Lin Zhong’s accusatory voice instead.

“Didn’t you hear me?”

Bang!

Still that slow voice, still from Lin Zhong. He made a gun gesture with his hand and lifted it slightly.

An ice bullet shot from his fingertip, grazing Charlotte’s forehead and piercing the fishman behind him who’d been sneaking up with a hunting spear.

“Go up.”

Lin Zhong’s Snowfall Thousand Chills pointed toward the dock steps. No one and no Monsters lingered there. Charlotte knew the obvious: fish live in the sea.

The town area was the safe zone.

“I also...”

Charlotte drew his knight’s Long Sword, facing the Deep Divers on the dock. But his trembling legs and hands gave him away completely.

“Go up!”

Lin Zhong’s tone grew stern. A trace of anger appeared on that beautiful face.

Why had he come to this Dungeon Instance? To vent his emotions, for the thrill! He had no time to protect this guy, nor did he want to give up the rare punching bag to Charlotte.

“...I know.”

Charlotte gritted his teeth. He knew his strength—even one Deep Diver was enough to overwhelm him.

He raised his sore arm and ran toward the dock steps.

At the same time, a group of fishmen charged toward Charlotte.

Whoosh!

Snowfall Thousand Chills swept before Lin Zhong. A crack split the ground, covered by thin ice.

That chill made retreating Charlotte feel a trace of cold.

“No passage allowed here!”

Lin Zhong gripped his War Spear, its tip touching the ice.

The Deep Divers stopped chasing. S-rank Dungeon Instances were hard not just for strength—they had a bit of intelligence too.

The Deep Divers who’d surrounded Charlotte were still wailing on the ground. They didn’t want that fate. Death wasn’t scary, but being worse than dead was despairing.

Lin Zhong stepped over the ice. His War Spear emitted wisps of cold air.

“Let’s play a game.”

A smile bloomed on his face—a chilling smile.

His War Spear swept out. The sharp blade sliced through a Deep Diver’s scales, cutting it horizontally in half.

Frost Thorn.

Lin Zhong lifted the half-body. Snowfall Thousand Chills pierced straight through it. Countless ice spikes shot from its back.

The massive spikes impaled all Deep Divers behind the corpse. But it wasn’t over.

Thud!

Lin Zhong tapped the ground with his toe. Ice spread across the entire area.

The slapping sound of webbed feet faded. Their proud aquatic feet froze to the land.

Only Lin Zhong could move now. He gripped his War Spear and glided lightly toward the pile of punching bags.

His agile body weaved through the Monsters, spear constantly swinging. Charlotte and Aester wondered: was this ice-skating dancing or killing in a Dungeon Instance?

They soon got the answer. A sharp sheet of ice burst forth with Lin Zhong’s spear. Wherever it pointed, Deep Divers’ bodies were cleanly sliced in half.

The thin ice flowed like silk under his ‘paintbrush.’ Wails and blood followed. He was a white reaper, harvesting all Monsters within the circle.

S-rank Dungeon Instance Monsters were like blank paper before him.

But Lin Zhong looked less like a reaper—more like an artist.

Chaos Blossom Burial!

With his steps, the ice revealed its shape. A flower—the hellish Elysian Flower—gradually formed under his ‘paintbrush.’

Bang!

Cracks appeared on the ice-made Elysian Flower. But it didn’t stop...

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Cracks spread across the smooth surface. Lin Zhong cruelly raised Snowfall Thousand Chills and tapped the flower lightly.

BANG!!!

The entire Elysian Flower shattered into countless ‘petals’ under his spear. The ‘dye’ on the ground stained the transparent petals crimson.

Magnificent! An irreplaceable magnificence left the two stunned. Only the voice from the corpse pile snapped them back.

“Thrilling!”
