"Mmm… Dawn already?"

As the first rays of dawn pierced through the glass window and landed on Baiyi’s face, his lazy biological clock finally roused him from sleep.

The moment he opened his eyes, a delicate, fair face hovered just ten centimeters above him.

Still half-asleep, Baiyi jolted fully awake, finally making out the smooth face before him.

"Young Master, you’re awake."

"Ah… Yes, um…"

"I’m Xiao Ling, Young Master. Your Personal Maid."

"Oh… Um, could you please step aside for a moment? I need to change."

Baiyi hadn’t expected the first thing he’d see upon waking to be the adorable face of a beautiful girl.

This unexpected scene made his cheeks flush slightly with embarrassment, still caught in the haze of sleep.

Moreover, she was his own Maid.

"Of course, Young Master. I’ll wait outside."

"Mhm."

He wasn’t sure if his eyes were playing tricks, but Xiao Ling always wore a gentle smile when looking at him.

Though it seemed ordinary, he noticed a trace of something deeper in her eyes.

But Baiyi didn’t know what it was.

Anyway, since Xiao Ling was waiting outside, he should hurry and not dawdle.

Forget it—no need to overthink. Time to wake this dummy up. After all, he’d promised to take her to the food street today.

Sigh, that bottomless pit.

Of course, that wasn’t his only problem.

Baiyi turned to the black doll Lian Ye had placed on the bedside.

Every time he saw its hollow, pitch-black eyes, an inexplicable chill ran down his spine.

He couldn’t help but shiver.

How could this dummy play with such a thing so carefree?

Anyway, better wake her up first—she’d dawdle again otherwise.

"Dummy, wake up."

Baiyi patted Lian Ye, still sleeping beside him, trying to rouse her.

But after two pats, he realized she’d already woken up. Her eyes were open, staring blankly at nothing.

"Hey, dummy, get up. Stop lazing in bed."

What’s going on? No response after calling her several times—could something be wrong?

"Get up!"

Seeing no effect, Baiyi grabbed her blanket, ready to yank her out of bed.

"No… don’t!"

"Dummy, stop messing around. Do you even want to eat today?"

"No… eat, no… up!"

"Huh? Not eating? Not even good food? What’s wrong with you?"

Lian Ye clutched the quilt with her small, fair hands, glaring sharply at Baiyi.

Her face wore a resolute, unshakable expression.

"Agh, dummy. What are you hiding…"

"Mmm…"

Sure enough, she must be hiding something weird under there!

Otherwise, she wouldn’t hold the blanket so tightly.

Could it be…

Seeing her stubborn expression—and remembering she was still a child—Baiyi suddenly realized something.

"Don’t tell me you wet the bed!"

"No… didn’t…"

Whoosh!

Baiyi seized the moment, yanking the blanket off her with both hands.

A strong stench of urine hit him, turning Baiyi’s face green instantly.

"You dummy! You really did wet the bed!"
