Just as Baiyi was about to swiftly leave with Xiao Ling and Lian Ye, a small black stone suddenly rolled over from the stage’s edge.

!!

Ever vigilant, Baiyi instantly spotted the odd object. He freed one hand and scooped up Lian Ye, who’d been walking beside him, clutching his sleeve.

Then he leaped backward, putting distance between himself and the thing.

Boom!

In an instant, the strange black stone exploded. Thick white smoke billowed out rapidly in all directions.

It spread incredibly fast. Within seconds, dense gray fog encircled Baiyi, completely blocking his vision.

“Dad… Dad.”

“Young master…”

Faced with this sudden chaos, Xiao Ling and Lian Ye froze, unsure how to react. Their soft bodies trembled slightly.

Clearly, the magician’s earlier act had left Xiao Ling with lingering trauma.

“Tch, troublesome kids… Stay put. I’ll handle this and be right back.”

Baiyi gently set both down on the ground. He spun around, sharp eyes scanning the thick fog.

How many more were there?

So Shadowblade Alliance really wanted Lian Ye back. They’d gone to such lengths just to snatch this fool from me.

But without my permission, no matter how many you send…

The result will always be the same!

Baiyi moved instantly. His right hand gripped the hilt of the curved saber at his waist and yanked it free.

At the same moment, a flash of crimson light pierced the thick white fog.

A slender black figure leaped out, trailing a streak of red blade light.

“Another fool rushing to die.”

Watching the figure charge at him, black short blade clutched tight, Baiyi’s face showed a trace of impatience and irritation.

To him, this was just another weakling—no real threat, all bluster and scare tactics.

But as he prepared to decisively slice off the black-clad head—

The figure jumped back, dodging his strike.

It vanished back into the smoke.

“Dodged… not bad for trash.”

The shadow circling in the gray fog was S3, commander of this Shadowblade Alliance assault.

She’d sent all her top subordinates to ambush Baiyi while the stage magician distracted them.

Yet against Baiyi’s absolute power, even Shadowblade’s best couldn’t withstand a single blow.

All died in combat; not one survived.

Baiyi’s cloth robe was merely stained with their blood—completely unharmed.

Less a battle, more a one-sided slaughter.

Baiyi… I’ll never forgive you. I will avenge my parents’ deaths!

The girl’s eyes glowed crimson. Terrifying killing intent flooded the stage instantly.

Bone-chilling cold made Xiao Ling shiver slightly where she sat.

Lian Ye, however, seemed unaffected. She tilted her head, still watching Baiyi curiously.

She felt no fear from the killing intent, not taking it seriously at all.

“Hey, trash! Show yourself!”

After minutes of waiting, Baiyi’s patience snapped. He’d finish this hiding pest now.

Don’t interfere… I’m taking my people back!

Enraged, Baiyi swung his blade fiercely at the fog beside him.

Immense energy gathered on his worn curved saber. With a powerful downward slash—

Boom!

A massive gust swept away all the fog instantly.

Revealing a girl kneeling on one knee, both hands gripping a short blade defensively.

Her black bodysuit was torn and tattered from the attack.

Snow-white skin was exposed before Baiyi. Most of her breasts were visible.

Her heavy panting and movements gave it a slightly lewd air.

But her body was badly injured. She could only prop herself up with one hand, barely kneeling.

No strength left to resist.

“Another fool who doesn’t know life from death. You’re just tougher than the rest.”

At first glance at the exposed girl, Baiyi was only slightly surprised.

He quickly returned to his angry, furious expression.

“Ugh!”

Blood spewed from the girl’s mouth, splattering the ground.

She’d never expected her foolproof plan to shatter so easily against Baiyi’s strength.

No chance to fight back.

She’d planned to use the smoke to hide and land her strongest blow.

But it was all just an ideal dream.

In reality, she was now a weakling—gravely wounded and kneeling from a single casual swing.

Hit by the blade’s aura, not even the edge.

How laughable.

The girl lifted her head slightly. Her delicate face was twisted with pain, yet her eyes still glowed vivid red.

Watching Baiyi approach, her gaze radiated thick hatred and anger.

Her white teeth bit her pink lower lip. Crimson blood trickled slowly from her mouth.

It flowed down her fair skin, dripping onto her delicate collarbone.

Even staining her long, snow-white hair.

“You…”

Baiyi stopped before her, studying the face half-hidden by a white mask.

That intense hatred in her eyes—like staring at a mortal enemy.

Wishing to erase him from this world.

He paused, examining her closely, thinking.

“You seem to hate me?”

The girl kept her mouth tightly shut, silent.

Not a single word escaped her lips.

“Tch, troublesome girl!”

Baiyi knew exactly what such hatred meant in an enemy’s eyes.

Especially this resentment toward him.

“Forget it, annoying girl.”

Her silence gave him no way to extract information.

“I’ll take you back… and interrogate you thoroughly, trash.”

Finally, Baiyi sheathed the Shattered Curved Blade.

He reached out decisively and knocked the girl unconscious.

Looking at me with those eyes… you must be from those times back then…
