Chapter 2: The Fox Maiden's Daring Jailb
update icon Updated at 2025/12/10 17:31:00

The Abyssal Prison was built for Meta Ability criminals, located 5,000 meters deep under the sea!

Walking toward the Abyssal Prison, Night Zero felt the hollow chill from the tunnel walls. She had never regretted her decision. Five years ago, in that alley, White Sunflower had saved her. From that moment, she vowed to help him.

"Stay alert later, Miss Night Zero."

Dressed in an OL uniform, Night Zero walked ahead with documents. Her long crimson hair flowed behind her, radiating professional elegance. Behind her followed the warden, completely hidden under a black robe, his face indiscernible.

"Don't worry. Miss Mira personally appointed me for these negotiations. My strength isn't an issue."

"No, no, no, Miss Night Zero. White Sunflower's power isn't simple. Back then, he single-handedly destroyed the Apostles' army. His strength dwarfs even Miss Mira's today. For five years, he's been quiet inside—eating, sleeping, daydreaming. I fear he might have... improper thoughts when you arrive."

The warden's concern was natural. A beautiful girl like Night Zero appearing before a man starved of women for five years—who knew what might happen?

"Improper thoughts? ...If so, I'd welcome it."

"Wait, Miss Night Zero, what did you just say?"

"Huh? Did I say something?~"

Night Zero's body stiffened like she'd been shocked. Her hands and feet trembled slightly as she replied. Luckily, he hadn't heard clearly. With a relieved smile, she quickened her pace.

Soon, led by the warden, Night Zero took the elevator to the Abyssal Prison's lowest level! Above, many Meta Ability criminals were imprisoned. Some gained powers to help the world; others used them for crime. But this bottom level held only one prisoner.

Emperor Heaven—White Chrysanthemum.

"Miss Night Zero, I won't disturb you further. I'll monitor via cameras. If anything happens, I'll rush over!"

Night Zero glanced at the ceiling camera and nodded silently. Before her stood the cell holding the world's most terrifying person.

The cell was bare—just a bed and a toilet. On the hard bed lay a black-haired youth, his injured feet chained in black locks, motionless.

Eating, sleeping, daydreaming daily... The warden's words echoed in her mind. Night Zero shook her head to stop the thoughts and opened the cell door.

"Huh? They replaced the food guy with a girl?"

Five years had passed. His voice remained magnetic, but deeper now, less vibrant.

She saw the boy from back then again. He still radiated a fearsome aura, with that same arrogant gaze. Only his face looked more weathered. Night Zero felt a flood of emotions but knew she couldn't show them.

"Mr. White Sunflower... I am—"

"Wait. No food. Formal clothes, looking sharp, holding damn documents. So the government needs my help?"

He guessed perfectly. Just from her attire and papers, he deduced her purpose. Truly, the Heavenly Emperor.

White Sunflower stayed on the bed, glancing sideways before staring at the ceiling.

"Well... Mr. White Sunflower, the Apostles invaded again. Criminals are attacking the government. So... we need you. Or rather, your cells and genes."

As she spoke, Night Zero moved to the cell's blind spot.

"Cells and genes?"

The youth stood, dragging his chains. His wicked smirk fixed on her. His arrogant black eyes were emptier than five years ago, as if swallowing souls. Night Zero glanced at the vanishing camera view and backed away until cornered.

"Yes. The government wants your help. They'll listen to your demands."

Though unaware of past events, Night Zero relayed her superiors' words.

"Demands? Ten thousand beauties? Supreme power? Wealth?"

He smirked wickedly, leaning one hand against the wall behind her.

"I don't know... that's what they said... I—"

Night Zero felt his oppressive presence. She knew the government couldn't grant those things—that's why she came. But now, he controlled every beat.

"Then... what if I want you?"

His wicked whisper brushed her ear, his deliberate breath tickling her skin.

No way—the warden was right? A man deprived for five years could be this terrifying. Watching his hand slide toward her body... Night Zero, inexperienced, shyly closed her eyes like a lamb. She didn't oppose it fundamentally, but... too soon.

Her shyness exploded. Seeing her obvious misunderstanding, the youth shook his head. Then he noticed her changes—suddenly, red fox ears popped out, trembling fearfully. Whether from shyness or nature, they glowed crimson. A fluffy tail wagged behind her, begging to be touched.

So that's it... He glanced at the camera hidden by the corner.

"Well... I'll stop teasing. Tell me why you lured me here. Don't say you actually want me to assault you."

He laughed fearlessly. His eyes lost their emptiness, now fixed on her with interest.

"Of course not!"

Blushing, she denied it. Her wagging tail, flushed ears, and flustered reaction made it sound weak. Seeing his amused smile, Night Zero knew she was teased again—and he recognized her.

With a helpless glance at her tail, she lowered her head sadly. Then she perked up. Her bright amber eyes locked on him as she stated her purpose.

"I'm here to help you escape... I don't want you to stay here anymore."
