Chuxingyue extravagantly booked a private room. Xiao Mu and she sat at opposite ends of a rectangular table while waiters kept serving dishes.

"Sis Chuxingyue, this is so much... can we even finish it all?" Xiao Mu said, dumbfounded.

"Many come here for the mood," Chuxingyue chuckled lightly. "Food’s just decoration." She snapped her slender fingers.

The lighting shifted abruptly to romantic purple. Soft piano music filled the air—truly a pleasant dining vibe.

"Pour the wine," Chuxingyue instructed.

Two lovely waitresses opened red wine bottles and filled their glasses.

"Cheers," Chuxingyue said, raising her stemmed wine glass to Xiao Mu.

Xiao Mu mirrored her. "Cheers."

Both sipped lightly. Chuxingyue dismissed the waitresses: "You may leave."

They exited together.

"It’s more romantic with just two people..." Chuxingyue smiled, tilting her head back for another small sip.

True nobility radiated from her every gesture.

"Sis Chuxingyue, you’re from out of town, right?" Xiao Mu asked, watching her.

"Mm. My home’s in Zhaoyun City."

Zhaoyun City? A top-tier metropolis, world-famous—every inch of land there worth its weight in gold.

"So your family must be super rich, huh?"

"Not really..." Chuxingyue’s mood dimmed slightly, as if recalling something.

Xiao Mu realized his blunder and switched topics fast. "Why’d you come to A City? Something important?"

"Well..." Her expression twisted, words stuck in her throat.

"If it’s hard to say, forget it—"

"No! That’s not it!" Chuxingyue said anxiously. "Don’t misunderstand, Xiao Mu. I just... haven’t figured out how to explain yet. Tomorrow, okay?"

"Don’t worry, Sis. I won’t get mad over this," Xiao Mu replied with an understanding smile.

"Good..." Chuxingyue visibly sighed in relief.

Curious but respectful, Xiao Mu dropped the subject. They chatted lightly, the mood lifting—though the food stayed mostly untouched. Only after his insistence did Chuxingyue eat a little.

Lunch stretched nearly an hour. At checkout, she casually pulled a black card from her purse.

Xiao Mu followed her out, embarrassed under the manager’s knowing gaze.

Outside, he instantly relaxed, stretching with relief.

"Sis Chuxingyue, where to next?" he asked, turning his head.

"Clothes shopping."

"Clothes?"

"Yep. Your fashion sense is awful. I’m giving you a proper makeover," Chuxingyue said, scanning him head to toe before shaking her head.

"Awful? I think it’s fine!" Xiao Mu’s motto was simple: clothes just needed to cover him. He usually bought random stuff online.

"I can only use one word to describe your outfit."

"What?"

"Tacky!"

Xiao Mu stared hard into her eyes, his face darkening suddenly.

Chuxingyue flinched, thinking she’d gone too far. "I—"

"Sis Chuxingyue!" Xiao Mu cut in sternly.

"What’s wrong... why so harsh? I was joking..." she said pitifully, feeling wronged.

"You just said two words!"

"Huh?"

Chuxingyue froze, confused.

"You promised one word for the evaluation. Two words is weird!"

"Is it... weird?" She couldn’t follow his logic.

"Totally weird!" Xiao Mu nodded firmly.

"So what now..."

"Punishment time! Let me pick your clothes next, Sis!" Xiao Mu finally revealed his ulterior motive.

"Huh? Wait—why punishment?" Chuxingyue sensed a trap.

"Details don’t matter. It’s settled—let’s go!" He grabbed her hand and dashed off, giving no chance to argue.

Helpless against his rascal act, Chuxingyue let it slide—after all, letting him choose her clothes wouldn’t hurt.
