After the match, Xiao Mu went to find Night Glass, but she was nowhere to be seen. He figured she was hiding.

Xiao Mu didn’t push further. He knew if Night Glass didn’t want to meet him, searching was pointless.

He had zero interest in other classes’ matches. Hailing a taxi at the school gate, he headed straight back to the hospital.

Inside the ward, Chuxingyue, Tang Xixi, and Li Yan were all waiting.

"Xiao Mu! Why are you back so late? I was worried sick!" Chuxingyue reached out to lightly tap him but held back, instead nestling into his arms.

Xiao Mu wrapped his left arm around her and whispered, "I just wandered around outside and lost track of time. I’m not a kid—you don’t need to fret."

"But why do you reek of sweat?" Chuxingyue sniffed, then touched his T-shirt. "It’s soaked through! Spill it—what were you really doing out there?"

She stared intently into his eyes, as if trying to uncover a secret.

Xiao Mu cleared his throat. "My body’s still weak, and it’s scorching outside. Sweating’s normal..."

"So how do you feel now? Dizzy? Any discomfort?" Chuxingyue immediately asked, concern flooding back.

Xiao Mu chuckled. "I’m perfectly fine, sis Chuxingyue. You’re starting to sound like my mom."

"Pfft, nonsense!" Chuxingyue spat.

"Alright, enough flirting. Let me give Xiao Mu his shot first," Tang Xixi said, rubbing her temples.

"Yeah, you two lovebirds—cut the PDA. My heart can’t handle it," Li Yan chimed in.

"Get lost!" Xiao Mu kicked lazily at him. Li Yan dodged, laughing.

Chuxingyue blushed faintly, gently pulling away. "Let’s get Xiao Mu’s injection done first."

Xiao Mu obediently lay on the bed as Tang Xixi administered the shot.

Afterward, Chuxingyue stayed by his side. Tang Xixi left for her own tasks, and Li Yan headed back to school.

Bored, Xiao Mu pondered how to boost those last three affection points.

"What’s on your mind?" Chuxingyue asked, noticing his silence.

"I’m thinking… how to ‘devour’ you, sis Chuxingyue!" Xiao Mu grinned wickedly.

Chuxingyue’s face flushed crimson. Her fingers twisted together, and she couldn’t meet his gaze.

Seeing her shy expression, Xiao Mu felt a surge of longing.

He suddenly pulled her waist close.

Before she could react, his lips were on hers.

This wasn’t their first kiss—they had some practice by now.
