Before heading out, Chuxingyue deliberately changed into a fresh outfit, and Xiao Mu swapped into a black casual suit.

After dressing, Xiao Mu waited right outside Chuxingyue’s door.

Bored, he paced in circles outside. After over ten minutes, Chuxingyue finally emerged.

Xiao Mu was instantly stunned.

Chuxingyue wore a white sheer dress that showed off her slender calves, paired with white lace-trimmed ankle socks and black flats. She had light makeup, her hair neatly combed, and a sun hat perched on her head.

Her hands held a small bag dangling between her legs—she looked like the perfect goddess, so breathtaking Xiao Mu was speechless.

“How do I look?” Chuxingyue asked eagerly.

“You look amazing,” Xiao Mu said, scratching his head. “You make me feel embarrassed walking with you, Sister Xingyue.”

“No need to be shy. Let’s go!” Chuxingyue looped her arm through his, unusually proactive.

At 168 cm, Chuxingyue was slightly shorter than Xiao Mu. Together, they looked like siblings—too mismatched for a couple.

Still, walking down the street, Xiao Mu felt many jealous stares. He swelled with pride, holding his head high like he defied all rivals.

“Xiao Mu, where should we go first?” Chuxingyue glanced around, undecided.

“Secret for now!”

Xiao Mu teased her, leading Chuxingyue to a car.

The car stopped. Chuxingyue stepped out, staring at the massive complex ahead with wide-eyed delight.

“It’s an amusement park! I’ve never been here before!” She bounced like a child, her eyes sparkling brightly.

Never been here before…

Her words stirred a ripple of emotion in Xiao Mu. Chuxingyue had grown up without ever visiting an amusement park? What was her childhood like?

Today, I’ll make sure Sister Xingyue has the happiest day ever!

Xiao Mu silently resolved.

“Sister Xingyue, what do you want to ride first?” he asked.

Chuxingyue pointed excitedly. “That one! That one!”

Xiao Mu looked—and his face paled.

A roller coaster?! Do we really have to start with something this intense?!

“Can’t we skip it?” Chuxingyue pleaded, her big eyes wide and pitiful.

Wait… is she acting cute?! That’s cheating!

I won’t…

“Of course we can! I love roller coasters!” Xiao Mu flipped his hair dramatically, shouting loudly.

But once strapped in, Xiao Mu regretted it instantly.

“Sister Xingyue, maybe… we should try this later?” He swallowed hard, bargaining with her.

“No way! I want to ride it now!”

Fine. For Sister Xingyue’s happiness… I’ll tough it out!

Amid Chuxingyue’s thrilled screams, Xiao Mu endured the dizzying spin.

“Ugh…”

He felt like he’d vomited everything out. His face was pale, steps unsteady, as if floating. His body’s lingering exhaustion worsened.

“Xiao Mu, are you okay?” Chuxingyue supported him, worried.

“I’m fine. Let’s keep going.”

“But your health…”

“Just a little dizzy. I’ll rest soon.”

Relieved, Chuxingyue agreed. They rode attraction after attraction.

Xiao Mu’s face grew paler, his walk wobbly with dizziness.

I can’t collapse now. I promised to stay with Sister Xingyue all day. Passing out would be so lame.

Xiao Mu gritted his teeth and pushed on.

Over two hours slipped by unnoticed.

“This is so fun! Amusement parks are amazing!”

Seeing Chuxingyue’s radiant smile, Xiao Mu felt his effort was worth it.

He opened his mouth to speak—but a wave of weakness surged through him.

No, I’m overexerting again! The system was forcing him unconscious.

But he hadn’t used any skills. Why?

Before he could figure it out, he collapsed.

As darkness closed in, he saw Chuxingyue frantically calling for help.

Sorry, Sister Xingyue…

Xiao Mu murmured inwardly, then lost all consciousness.
