"Last but not least, Xiao Mu," the math teacher paused briefly. "146 points!"
Silence swallowed the classroom the moment she finished. Had they heard wrong?
How was this possible? Xiao Mu had never even passed before!
*Ding! Congratulations, Host, for completing the task. You’ve earned 25 points.*
"That’s impossible!" Huang Shao’an blurted out, his face flushed with disbelief.
"Why not? The teacher just said it herself," Xiao Mu replied calmly.
"You must have cheated!" Huang Shao’an shot back.
Xiao Mu smirked. "Cheated off whom? You?"
A few students chuckled. Xiao Mu had the highest score; Huang Shao’an copying from him made more sense.
"This can’t be your own work!" Huang Shao’an snapped.
"If you don’t believe me, let’s settle it with a challenge," Xiao Mu said, eyeing him playfully.
"Bring it on! What’s the challenge?" Huang Shao’an wasn’t afraid—he refused to accept Xiao Mu’s score was genuine.
"The teacher sets one problem. We solve it at the same time. First to finish correctly wins," Xiao Mu said, stretching lazily.
"Fine!" Huang Shao’an agreed instantly.
Xiao Mu turned to the math teacher. "Teacher, your thoughts?"
"Alright," she agreed. She’d been skeptical too and saw this as proof.
"Boss, you sure about this?" Li Yan whispered worriedly.
"Relax. I’m your boss, remember?" Xiao Mu grinned confidently and strode to the podium.
Huang Shao’an followed, refusing to back down.
After a moment’s thought, the teacher wrote a problem on the blackboard.
Huang Shao’an frowned slightly at it. Tough—she’d clearly picked a hard one on purpose.
Below, Lin Hanyun pulled out a notebook, ready to tackle it. She loved challenges like this.
But... could he really solve it? She still doubted Xiao Mu’s score.
Six or seven minutes passed. Huang Shao’an started writing but stopped almost immediately. The problem was harder than expected.
He glanced at Xiao Mu, who hadn’t touched the chalk yet. Huang Shao’an sneered inwardly. *Loser!* He refocused on his work.
Another five minutes crawled by. He still had no clue.
"Are you ever starting? I’m about to fall asleep waiting," Xiao Mu yawned.
Huang Shao’an glared. "Like you can solve it either?"
"Tch. Just watch."
Xiao Mu grabbed the chalk and scribbled rapidly across the board.
At first, Huang Shao’an thought it was nonsense. But as he looked closer, he froze—Xiao Mu’s solution was correct!
And he’d even shown two different methods!
Huang Shao’an wasn’t the only one stunned. The teacher, Li Yan, and Lin Hanyun stared in shock too.
"Perfect... absolutely no errors!" the teacher murmured. Even she couldn’t solve it this flawlessly on the first try—and so fast!
"You... you must have practiced this before!" Huang Shao’an insisted. He couldn’t accept Xiao Mu outperforming him.
*Sigh.* "To put your mind at ease, Teacher, another problem please?" Xiao Mu said wearily.
She wrote an even harder one. Xiao Mu solved it in half the time.
Huang Shao’an stood there, utterly dejected, muttering, "How... impossible..."
Xiao Mu’s victory felt like a silent slap to his pride, leaving him dazed.
Lin Hanyun’s heart pounded with shock too.
*Ding! Lin Hanyun’s favorability towards the Host has increased by 2 points. Keep it up, Host!*
