Hearing Sister Thousand Feathers' reply, Yorunozuki Senpai chose not to say anything more. She simply walked over, extended her hands, and tried to take my body from Sister Thousand Feathers' arms.

"Master, let me handle such trivial matters."

Sister Thousand Feathers shook her head. Her tone was gentle yet firm. "I'll do it myself. And remember, Misty's matters are never trivial."

"...Yes."

Yorunozuki Senpai paused slightly, then bowed in apology. She stepped back, clasped her hands together in front of her abdomen, and stood quietly without further movement.

Like a maid awaiting her master's command.

Yet Sister Thousand Feathers didn't spare her a single glance. Her gaze remained fixed on me.

"Sleep well. When you wake, the answers should be there..." Sister Thousand Feathers murmured, stroking my cheek, her eyes filled with deep affection.

She gazed at me for a long time, doing nothing else.

After a while, Sister Thousand Feathers finally moved. She slid her hands under my knees, supported my neck with the other, and lifted me in a princess carry.

"Check the database. See how many identities have been processed for Class 136." Sister Thousand Feathers instructed Yorunozuki Senpai, then carried me to a small wooden door. She opened it and walked inside.

Yorunozuki Senpai nodded and responded. She placed her hand on a frame near her ear, fiddled with it briefly, and a blue projection screen—about the size of glasses—appeared before her eyes.

"Target class search: 136. Name: none... Keyword: identity."

After she spoke, the floating screen changed. Black text scrolled rapidly across it, displaying information about Class 136 students.

"AR mode, activate."

Yorunozuki Senpai raised her left hand and tapped the air a few times. The screen locked onto a white-background text box.

She stopped and focused on filtering the information. After all, an excellent secretary handles all tasks her master dislikes. That's likely what Yorunozuki Senpai thought...

...

Behind the wooden door was a bedroom. Though smaller than our entire dorm, it was at least half the size. The space wasn't tiny, yet the decor was... minimalist, I suppose.

A single bed, a bedside table, a vanity, a closed bathroom door, and a purely decorative computer. Nothing else.

Sister Thousand Feathers gently placed me on the bed. She smoothed the wrinkles from my skirt, then pulled the blanket over me, covering every inch of skin.

Still not satisfied, she walked to the window and drew the dark red curtains. The room plunged into pitch darkness. Only then did she relax with a relieved expression.

"Have a good nap, little Misty, just like at the opening ceremony."

She opened the door gently and stepped out. Though she knew I wouldn't wake even to blaring music beside my ear, her movements grew even more careful.

"How's it going, Yoru? Any info?" Sister Thousand Feathers asked lazily. She settled back into her office chair, elegantly crossing one leg over the other, and turned sideways to watch Yorunozuki Senpai operating her personal terminal.

"Master, it's not as simple as we thought. Misty-chan's information... is under school confidentiality. Parts inaccessible to subordinates." Yorunozuki Senpai turned off the screen, gazing at her master—my roommate, Sister Thousand Feathers—with quiet resignation.

"...Not even with your clearance?"

Sister Thousand Feathers instantly sat up straight, her casual posture gone. Her tone sharpened as she stared intently at Yorunozuki Senpai, searching her eyes for any hint of a joke.

But unfortunately, that was impossible.
