The crisp rap of knuckles on the solid wood door echoed down the hallway, stirring the silent building awake.

I knocked a few times, then lowered my hand, waiting for Thousand Feather Sister’s reply.

“Come in.”

The voice from inside sounded muffled and dull—probably from the heavy door—so different from how I remembered Thousand Feather Sister’s tone.

Creak…

With her permission, I gently pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Blinding sunlight instantly streamed through the back curtains, hitting my eyes.

I blinked once and adjusted; my Demon Hunter constitution had already memorized this shock from Thousand Feather Sister’s morning ambush.

“Mist-chan, you’re here.” The voice came from the right. Yes, Thousand Feather Sister’s—but less eerie than at night, now bright as sunshine.

I turned. Thousand Feather Sister sat at a long table nearby, stacks of files blocking my view of her.

*Annoyed, I glared at the files.* Get out of the way! You’re hiding Thousand Feather Sister from me!

“Come here, Mist-chan. I’ve just finished these.” She seemed to realize her earlier tone had been too stiff from work mode, so she softened it.

“Mm.” I replied quietly, walking to the table. My gaze locked onto Thousand Feather Sister like a magnet—utterly unable to look away.

Her long pink hair was neatly secured by a hairband into an elegant, serene ponytail.

The white second-year uniform shirt lay perfectly smooth over her shoulders. Common campus wear, yet she made it feel utterly unique.

The artful curve of her collarbone, her delicate features—all radiated a quiet, scholarly ladylike grace…

Like a fairy who’d strayed into the mortal world, meant only for distant admiration.

“What’s wrong, Mist-chan? Does this outfit suit me? I prepared it carefully~” Thousand Feather Sister smiled faintly, snapped her fingers. The blocking files flew up, then neatly slid into a cabinet that clicked shut.

“Thousand Feather Sister, why call me at noon?” I shook my head clear of stray thoughts, asking curiously.

“Little Mist-chan’s so impatient. Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything~ Sit down first. Standing too long isn’t good.”

Sit? Huh? Only one chair here—hers. No other seat in sight. *Confused, I frowned.*

Seeing my puzzled look, Thousand Feather Sister slowly placed her hand on her black skirt, patting the hem as if inviting me onto her lap.

“Eh!?”

Wha—why suddenly ask me to sit on her lap? This is moving way too fast! Absolutely not!

My face burned instantly. I couldn’t meet her beautiful eyes; my gaze darted everywhere.

“Hehe, Mist-chan, that shy expression is adorable~” Thousand Feather Sister seemed delighted. She slowly lifted her skirt hem, revealing long legs sheathed in black stockings. “Come to Sister and relax properly~”

Her slender legs lay boldly bare, unhidden. She displayed her most alluring self openly—but too flustered, I turned my head toward the window.

“Little Mist-chan, not listening again? Are you asking for…” She didn’t get angry when I avoided her gaze. Instead, she gently wrapped her arms around me mid-daze, letting me sink softly into her warm, fragrant embrace.

“Mmph…” I instinctively wanted to squirm free, unused to my senior’s hold. But remembering the consequences of disobeying Thousand Feather Sister, I surrendered right away.
