Staring at the short-haired girl seated in the office building lobby—she looked taller than me even while sitting—I wasn’t sure how to address her.

Seeing her completely absorbed in writing something made me even more reluctant to disturb her.

Ah, what should I do? Standing idly nearby, I started tiptoeing and lightly tapping the toe of my boot while pondering my next move.

*I’ll just go inside. There must be signboards in there, so I won’t bother that girl. Such a great idea~*

With my mind made up, I set aside my worries and stepped into the Student Council office building lobby where Thousand Feather Sister was.

As I walked past the girl, she seemed lost in her own world and didn’t notice me at all.

Reaching the center of the lobby, I gazed around like a curious child. The decor featured black-gray marble tiles that refracted the soft light from the hanging glass chandelier in all directions, easily illuminating the entire modest-sized reception area.

On the left sat three long sofas with a golden coffee table in the center. Its transparent, crystal-clear glass surface clearly reflected my image.

A potted sapling I couldn’t identify stood in the corner. Its vibrant presence brought a breath of nature into the space, making me want to sit down and rest properly.

*This is… truly luxurious.* I murmured inwardly, walking deeper while searching for signboards.

But tragically, after circling the entire lobby, I found no floor signs. This was troublesome—would I have to disturb that diligent girl after all?

I really, really didn’t want to. :(

Just as I was about to sit on the sofa and wait for her to finish, she suddenly lifted her head. Her face showed pure confusion as she stared at me strangely, as if wondering how I’d appeared in the lobby. Her voice came out timid and shy.

“Oh, you’re done,” I said, standing up again. Seeing her flustered expression—like she’d been caught doing something wrong—I smiled warmly. “I’m here to see the president.”

She first seemed embarrassed, but hearing my purpose, her voice steadied. It was clear she took this matter seriously.

“Excuse me, classmate, do you have an appointment?”

“Appointment?” I repeated dumbly. “What’s an appointment?”

“An appointment means you register first. Then the president can schedule time to see you. Her time is very precious, so minor matters shouldn’t disturb her.” She explained apologetically. “If you don’t have one, classmate, you’ll need to leave for now and return after a notification.”

“Eh? Eh? This…” Going back now was impossible. The collar around my neck hadn’t been removed by Thousand Feather Sister yet. If I left now, others would definitely see it on the way, and then… (〃>_<;〃)

“I don’t have an appointment. But this morning, the senior sister personally told me to come to the Student Council office building at noon, so I…” I nodded sincerely. Her gaze shifted instantly, losing its earlier trust.

“That can’t be right. I received no notice from the vice president today, so…” Her tone was gentle, but her meaning was clear: You must be mistaken.

“I…” I glanced at her guiltily. I wasn’t lying, but I truly had no appointment.

“Could you please contact the president? She really did tell me that!” I said earnestly. With no other options, I had to rely on her to reach Thousand Feather Sister.

Under her strange gaze, I knew a girl like her wouldn’t imagine anything extreme—but still, a trace of apology lingered in my heart.

“Hmm… it should… be fine, I guess?” She sounded helpless, likely because nothing like this had ever happened before.
