Senior Thousand Feathers was drawing closer and closer to me.

My already burning-hot and hypersensitive skin could even feel the breeze from her moving hand lightly brushing against my long legs, sending tingling ripples through me.

I closed my eyes. Last night’s scene of Senior Thousand Feathers bullying me flashed vividly in my mind. I tried hard not to think about it, but the memories kept drifting through my head uncontrollably.

Her actions had completely crushed my will to resist. All that remained was curiosity about what she’d do next.

Or rather, what she’d already done.

As a high-ranking member of the Bloodline, Senior Thousand Feathers should have hated Demon Hunters with bone-deep loathing, forged over centuries. So why… was I still sitting on this bed, calm enough to talk with her?

What was going on?

I waited for ages, but nothing touched me—not even my collar, as far as I could sense.

“What… what’s wrong? Why won’t you…” My heart itched like ants crawling over it, with no release. The tension built up so fast that after just seconds, I couldn’t hold back my curiosity. I asked in a coquettish tone I’d never used before.

But seconds stretched into tens of seconds. No reply came. Unable to wait any longer, I opened my eyes to see what was happening.

Light flooded back into my vision. That striking pink hair filled my sight.

Senior just smiled at me. The hand that had tormented me all night hung frozen in midair.

Her expression wasn’t as seductive as last night’s, but still undeniably bewitching.

But that wasn’t the point. Why had she suddenly stopped?

Killing would take an instant. Could it be… she liked to torment me first, then… wuwu, too terrifying!

“Your face suggests you’re thinking something very rude, aren’t you, Wu?” Senior chuckled. Her paused hand settled on my flushed cheek, stroking gently like a pet owner tending to their companion.

Her hand was special—fair skin smooth and flawless, perfect curves paired with alluring eyes and brows, all deadly weapons for trapping prey.

“Alright, enough playing. Time for serious talk.” She glanced at my flustered state, gave up on explaining for now, and lightly tapped my lips when I wasn’t looking.

“I, uh…” Strangely, that gentle tap made my heart-pounding fear vanish instantly. Like a dam bursting in a long-filled reservoir, it washed away every trace of terror in a tidal rush.

What… was that? Σ(°Д°;

Seeing me calm down, Senior swept her bangs back from her forehead. She turned solemn as she spoke to me:

“Wu, before you ask anything, I need to tell you one thing first.”

“I…” I swallowed my questions immediately. I wanted answers too, so I put on a well-behaved act and waited quietly.

“Wu, from now on…” She paused mid-sentence, adjusting her tone to something soft and intimate.

“We’ll be partners.”

“Huh? Partners! What’s happening!” I stared at her, stunned—as if she’d just declared, “You’re already a Demon Hunter legend.”

But sadly, her expression was dead serious. Not a hint of joking.

…So what the hell did “partners” even mean!!! ∑(❍ฺд❍ฺlll)
