7. Once a King, Now a Pawn

Sky Qi opened his eyes to utter darkness. He tried to stretch, but his limbs wouldn’t budge. He wanted to yawn, but the sound choked in his throat.

He remembered—he was imprisoned.

Damn those dark bastards, daring such a vile act.

Mmph! His stomach growled. With his F-rank luck value, even buying wine got him fakes. Food was a problem. Had he really gone three days without eating?

His luck had plummeted lately. He feared finding bugs in his breakfast. But even the strongest were human! Stripped of all power, unable to fuel himself with magic, he felt utterly drained.

“You’re awake?” Tina asked tentatively.

Sky Qi didn’t answer—he couldn’t. His whole body was pinned, held like a pillow.

Tina lay half atop him. The pose looked intimate, but to Sky Qi, it felt like violation.

Suddenly, warmth wet his neck. A soft tongue licked his skin. Blindfolded, he flinched, curling into a ball.

“Hmm, you’re awake after all.” She pulled her tongue away.

*Damn it! How can I answer with this gag?* He wanted to roll his eyes but couldn’t see.

“Your Highness!” A maid burst in, tray in hand. She froze, eyes wide at the scene. The tray clattered to the floor.

The Bloodline maid covered her mouth, rubbing her eyes. The Vampire Princess lay atop a boy, his limbs bound, helpless under her shame.

“S-sorry! I saw nothing!” She slammed the door, trembling as she picked up the tray. *Who was that boy? The Princess’s kept lover? But why chained?*

This was terrifying. She’d be torn apart if word got out. *Stupid! I should’ve knocked. Maybe just a blood thrall? But thralls aren’t kept in beds…*

*Forget it. Act like nothing happened.*

Tina sighed, rubbing her forehead. Caught by her own servant—troublesome. This would leak eventually, but not now.

“My servant saw us. What should we do?” Tina stroked his cheek.

*What do you want from me?*

“Poor thing,” she whispered in his ear. “Betrayed by allies. A once-mighty warrior, now a slave.”

“A fallen king, a plaything today. Ironic, isn’t it?” She chuckled. “Oh, right—you’re still gagged.”

She tugged the elastic strap. The gag ball slid under his chin, wedged between neck and jaw.

“Irony my ass! Dark bastard, I’ll make you—” Mmph! The gag snapped back, sealing his mouth.

Tina patted his cheek, pouting. “If you only spew curses, I’ll keep you silent forever.”

She removed his blindfold. Sunlight streamed through the window, blinding him.

“Hungry?” She yanked the collar chain. He lurched forward, her nose almost touching his forehead.

He didn’t resist. Nodding weakly—he was starving. Battle drained him, and three days without food. Unlike Bloodlines, he couldn’t survive on blood alone.

That was their war advantage: humans ate plants or animals; Bloodlines fed on humans. In battle, they drank from corpses. Humans couldn’t eat Bloodlines.

William’s betrayal during this invasion had trapped him here. Without human strongholds like him, humanity would lose. Extinction loomed.

William caused this—all for selfish gain. Sky Qi would settle the score after escaping. But could he escape? Powerless, he was just a toy.

Tina blindfolded him again, removing the gag. He stayed silent. This was her domain. Shouting was useless—might even excite her.

He couldn’t let “humanity’s strongest, enslaved by the Vampire Princess” become legend.

Tina closed her eyes, pressing her lips to his.

Blood trickled from his mouth. *Damn it! She’s feeding me blood with her mouth!*

He bit hard, trying to sever her tongue. Powerless, his teeth barely dented skin. Her tongue tangled with his. He recoiled—but the collar chain held him fast.

Honestly, blood didn’t taste awful. He’d drunk it before, back when he was dirt-poor…

Reliving this? Humiliating!

*Why force blood on a human? Don’t Bloodlines eat anything else?*

Fear made him tremble. Tina showed no mercy.

Her lust-filled eyes glistened. Her nimble tongue slid into his mouth again.
